100. A Hundred Chapters—Shall We Take a Picture?
What’s the consequence of getting drunk? It’s being late, of course~
After getting drunk last night, Ling Ning had predictably overslept. By the time she woke up, it was almost ten in the morning. She looked at her phone and saw a pile of missed calls and messages. There were calls from Ye Xuan, Xia You, and Xu Qing—all asking why she hadn’t shown up at school.
Helpless, Ling Ning had to call them back one by one, explaining that she had overslept and would head to school soon.
“Ugh~”
After finishing her calls, Ling Ning flopped back onto her bed. The feeling of a hangover was just awful. She knew her body couldn’t handle alcohol well, yet she still couldn’t resist the temptation to drink a little more. Now she was suffering the consequences.
She glanced at the time—it was already after ten. Even if she rushed, it wouldn’t make a difference. So, she simply decided to close her eyes and go back to sleep.
It wasn’t until noon that Ling Ning woke up again. This time, she felt a lot better. She slowly got out of bed, changed her clothes, and washed up. Qin Qing still hadn’t woken up. It seemed that after they had drunk last night, Qin Qing had gone off to work on designing some new clothes. Judging by how she hadn’t emerged yet, she had probably stayed up all night.
Ling Ning shook her head, smiling wryly. She understood how fleeting inspiration could be—if you didn’t capture it right away, it would be gone before you knew it.
She wandered into the kitchen and opened the fridge, only to find it completely empty. Cooking was out of the question. What? Go buy groceries? Walking that far sounded exhausting. So, Ling Ning grabbed her phone and ordered some takeout. She could just get Qin Qing to reimburse her later anyway.
“Ding-dong~”
Ling Ning opened the door and found a delivery guy in a multi-colored uniform standing there.
“Hello, I’m with ‘Any Place, Anytime’ deliveries. Here’s your order.”
Ling Ning silently took the food, looking somewhat surprised at the delivery guy. She hadn’t realized ‘Any Place, Anytime’ did food deliveries too. She’d never heard of that before.
Qin Qing must have caught the smell of the food, as she soon emerged from her room, her nose twitching as if tracking the source of the delicious aroma.
“Why didn’t you sleep in a little longer?”
“No way, I’m starving. Couldn’t sleep any longer.” Qin Qing paused, turning to look at Ling Ning. “Weren’t you supposed to go to school? Why are you still here?”
Ling Ning shrugged. “Well, I got drunk last night and woke up at ten this morning. By the time I’d get to school, classes would be over, so I figured I might as well just sleep a bit more.”
“Oh~” Qin Qing nodded, her expression contemplative. She was about to pick up her chopsticks when she realized she hadn’t even washed up yet, so she dashed off to the bathroom.

After lunch, Ling Ning checked the time, then took another nap. Only when it was almost time did she leisurely head to school. But because she forgot she was staying at Qin Qing’s place, she misjudged the time it would take and ended up being late for her afternoon class as well.
Luckily, it was Xiao Ming’s class. Xiao Ming was known for not being too strict, and Ling Ning usually had good grades, so he turned a blind eye to her tardiness.
“Why were you late again in the afternoon?” Xu Qing asked Ling Ning quietly.
“Um… I wasn’t supposed to be late, but I miscalculated,” Ling Ning replied, a bit exasperated.
Xu Qing was about to ask more, but then she saw Xiao Ming giving her a pointed look. She knew she was in trouble.
“Xu Qing, please come up and solve this problem for us. Make sure your thought process is clear. If the blackboard isn’t enough, feel free to use the one at the back.”
Hearing Xiao Ming’s words, Xu Qing almost spat out blood in frustration.

After class, Ling Ning was summoned to the office by Ye Xuan.
The large office was empty, except for her and Ye Xuan. This made Ling Ning inexplicably nervous. Ever since that incident when she was almost pushed too far, she had instinctively avoided Ye Xuan. Where had all the other teachers gone? The office was always full during breaks, yet today, it was completely empty.
Ye Xuan looked at Ling Ning, who was clearly uneasy, and said calmly, “You seem a bit afraid of me?”
Ling Ning shook her head. “N-no, I’m not.”
“Then why have you been avoiding me lately?” Ye Xuan’s tone remained flat.
“Huh!? I… I haven’t been avoiding you~”
Under Ye Xuan’s indifferent gaze, Ling Ning felt a chill run through her. She instinctively averted her eyes, focusing on irrelevant details around the room. Wasn’t Ye Xuan supposed to be lecturing her about skipping class? Why were they talking about all these unrelated things instead?
Silence. The air suddenly felt oppressively quiet.
Seeing Ye Xuan’s unchanging expression, Ling Ning had no idea what to say. She just wished for class to start soon—maybe the bell would save her.
Just then, Ye Xuan suddenly stood up from her seat, startling Ling Ning. She instinctively took a step back, only to bump into a chair behind her. Losing her balance, she ended up sitting down. By the time she realized what had happened, Ye Xuan was already sitting on her lap.
“Um… Ye Xuan?” Ling Ning’s voice trembled as she felt a hand moving up her thigh.
“Teacher Ye, are you in the office?”
Just as Ye Xuan was about to go further, a voice called from outside. It was Cang Kongjing. In that moment, Ye Xuan felt murderous. Why did this always happen? Was she destined to be interrupted every time she tried to make a move on Ling Ning?
And, as if on cue, the bell for the next class rang.
“Um… it’s time for class,” Ling Ning said in a small voice.
Ye Xuan took a deep breath, stood up from Ling Ning’s lap, and Ling Ning dashed out of the office as if her life depended on it. As she reached the door, she gave Cang Kongjing a grateful look.
Cang Kongjing watched Ling Ning leave, confused, then turned to see Ye Xuan coming out of the office, her face dark.
“Did you need something?” Ye Xuan asked coldly.
“Uh… I just wanted to ask you something, but… um… never mind,” Cang Kongjing decided it was better not to ask, seeing Ye Xuan’s expression grow darker by the second.
“It’s fine. Ask whatever you need.” Ye Xuan grabbed Cang Kongjing and pulled her back into the office, ignoring her frightened expression.
“Mama, school is terrifying. I want to go home! /(ㄒoㄒ)/~~”
