Ten minutes before midnight.
Harry looked at the completed ritual circle he painted on the floor to make sure that there are no mistakes.
"Flawlessly done, this should work perfectly. Now start placing the three major components in their place and don't mess up their order" the portrait instructed him from behind.
Harry placed the three core components in the three empty circles in the ritual circle. After that Harry cut his left palm with a knife and let his blood fall onto the ritual circle.
Instead of falling on the floor and spreading everywhere harry's blood instead started flowing along the lines of the circle. Pretty soon the white circle turned completely blood-red, seeing that Harry used his magic to heal the cut on his hand and just in a few seconds the cut closed itself. Such powerful and complex rituals can only be performed by using his blood as a conduit.
The ritual circle painted by Harry is very different from other ritual circles, normally a ritual circle is made using ancient languages like Sanskrit and old runes but this circle is made entirely of parseltongue writings.
Ancient languages and runes are developed by humans and these languages and runes change with time and human understanding. Parseltongue on the other hand is an entirely magical language.
This makes parseltongue the perfect language to perform ritualistic magic since there is no room for interpretation and misunderstanding like with other languages.
This allows a wizard with parseltongue to perform rituals that are impossible for other wizards. Just like how Harry's mother offered her life as a sacrifice to protect her son or how Slytherin made it so that all of his direct descendants were born with a very limited version of parseltongue.
Slytherin's ritual could only give his descendants the ability to speak the language but not understand it. That's why most of the members of House Gaunt could only speak the tongue, this is like having an inbuilt translator in your head, you can speak the language but can't recognize your own words.
Tom, Lily and Harry were also born like this but eventually, when their magic grew strong enough they slowly started to understand the serpent language like a true speaker who is born this ability naturally.
The ability to truly speak parseltongue can allow a wizard to do all kinds of things that are impossible for other wizards, like performing powerful rituals that can't be performed by other wizards.
Parseltongue allowed Voldemort to perform seven dark enhancement rituals without any noticeable sides effects or drawbacks when he was just 13 years old. Parseltongue is also what allowed Voldemort to split his soul seven times to make his Horcruxes. For an average wizard just splitting his soul once is next to impossible let alone being able to do it seven times. Splitting your own soul is not easy, almost all of the wizards who try to make a Horcrux die while performing the ritual.
Parseltongue is also what allowed for this portrait of Slytherin to modify Dumbledore's three rituals into seven more powerful rituals.
The first two in the set are for enhancing the magic aspect of the wizard. The first ritual is to enhance all aspects of harry's magic just like Dumbledore's original first ritual.
The second ritual is to boost harry's magical healing and recovery to its absolute limits, this is done by sacrificing a part of a magical creature with incredible healing properties. This part also has to be willingly given. At first, this was going to be a unicorn's horn but after seeing Hedwig Slytherin suggested going with Hedwig's phoenix tears instead.
The next two rituals in the set are for enhancing a wizard's mind. The first of the two is to enhance all aspects of harry's mind just like Dumbledore's original second ritual.
The second of two is to boost harry's connection to magic to its absolute limits, this is done by sacrificing a dragon's heart. Dragons innately have a very strong connection to magic.
The next two rituals in the set are for enhancing the wizard's body. The first of the two is to enhance all aspects of harry's body just like Dumbledore's original third ritual.
The second of two is to boost harry's immunity to its absolute limits, this is done by sacrificing an entire vial of basilisk venom. Basilisk venom is formed in drops every few years so to collect an entire vial takes centuries even if you have a domesticated basilisk lying around.
The last ritual of the set is a very powerful balancing ritual just so the effects of the first six don't overwhelm harry's body.
Seeing that there is only a minute left to midnight harry quickly went and sat down in the middle of the ritual circle. As soon as harry turns seven he is going to perform seven rituals in three hours.
Just as the magical clock in the room indicated 12 harry started to move his magic according to the ritual. Slowly the ritual circle underneath him started glowing little by little with golden light.
It took ten minutes for harry to complete the entire ritual circle and with that he relaxed. Even with harry's incredibly control over magic it took his complete concentration and focus to complete this ritual circle. With this harry's job is done now he just has to let the rituals take effect in the next three hours. The golden light slowly rose from the circle and started going into harry's body.
Pain! Unspeakable pain started to flow through harry's body like a surge of electricity. This pain is even worse than taking a torture curse from Voldemort.
Before when harry performed enhancement rituals at 21 years old at that time there was only slight pain and a numbing sensation. He expected performing rituals with his young body to be more painful but he didn't expect this much pain.
Harry can't even use his occlumency to block out this pain because this pain is coming from his own soul. Even then he has to stay calm if he loses focus then the ritual will fail. The backlash from a set of rituals this powerful is not something he ever wants to face.
So begins Harry's three hours in hell.
