Hunted by Characters I Drew!!

Chapter 381: Chapter 383:  Mother-in-Law?!

Yakumo Yukari... 'Old... cough, cough.'

As Alexander stared at the elegant figure in front of him, he nearly blurted out "Old Witch." Fortunately, he caught himself at the last second.

'That was close.'

Alexander knew the consequences would be dire. Sure, Yakumo Yukari looked dignified and composed now, but if she heard anyone call her "old" what awaited him would be nothing short of a nightmare.

It wasn't just about words. As one of Gensokyo's most legendary yokai, she could probably read minds. But Alexander had an advantage—his system. Even someone like Yakumo would find it difficult to pry into his thoughts.

"What did you just say?" Yakumo asked, smiling sweetly.

But that smile? It sent chills down Alexander's spine. He could feel the murderous intent beneath it.

'If I say 'old woman,' I'm done for. She'll throw me into a gap to rot with the misfortune of the world.'

So Alexander quickly pivoted.

"cough, cough! My apologies! It's just that, when I see a beautiful woman, my heart starts racing. I can't help myself. Seems I'm destined to be a hopeless romantic."

"Pfft!"

Yakumo almost burst into laughter. 'This guy is shameless,' she thought. He was the first man bold enough to act so frivolously around her.

"Are you teasing me?" she asked, amusement dancing in her eyes.

"Isn't it natural for a man to flirt with a beautiful woman?" Alexander responded with a grin.

For a moment, Yakumo seemed genuinely pleased. Being called a "beautiful woman" wasn't something she minded.

"Why are you here, Miss Yakumo?" Alexander asked, shifting the subject. "We don't know each other, after all."

Alexander hadn't expected to meet Yakumo here. What he didn't know was that she had been aware of his presence from the moment he arrived. As one of the founders of Gensokyo, Yakumo Yukari made it her business to monitor any potential threats.

From the moment Alexander encountered Little Fran, she had been watching through her gaps in space. Seeing Alexander successfully calm and stabilize Fran's powers convinced her that he didn't harbor ill intentions toward Gensokyo. That was why she revealed herself—to find out who he truly was.

"What? You come to 'my' domain, and I'm not supposed to take an interest in you, outsider?"

"Outsider?" Alexander chuckled. "I don't think I'm an outsider. In fact, in a sense, Gensokyo... I created it."

He said it with full confidence, as if it were undeniable fact. After all, he 'had' brought the entire Gensokyo series into existence in this world. So claiming he created it wasn't exactly wrong, was it?

However, Yakumo raised an eyebrow, intrigued by his words. 'Created it? What's that supposed to mean?'

"Oh? You're claiming to be the creator of Gensokyo? Then what am I?"

Alexander smirked. "You? You're also my creation."

Yakumo's expression shifted. "Little brother, that's not a very funny joke." Her eyes sharpened as she glared at Alexander. To suggest that 'she'—the great Yakumo Yukari—was created by someone else? The audacity!

Seeing the disbelief in her eyes, Alexander remained calm. Without another word, he casually threw ten "Descendant Conversion Cards" toward her.

With his upgraded system, Alexander no longer needed to convert people in person. These cards were enough to do the job.

"All the answers you seek are in those cards," Alexander said confidently. "Use them, and everything will be revealed."

Yakumo examined the card in her hand, her curiosity piqued. It looked ordinary—nothing special. But the promise of secrets intrigued her.

'Interesting. Let's see what kind of game you're playing.'

She decided not to rush. As long as Alexander remained in Gensokyo, she could observe him at any time. For now, she wanted to know more.

At that moment, another figure approached—Remilia, with a fierce look in her eyes, followed closely by Patchouli, Sakuya, et al.

Yakumo smirked at the sight, silently enjoying the show. "Looks like you've got some trouble now," she teased Alexander, her voice laced with amusement. "Try not to die, will you?" With that, she vanished into the sky.

Alexander sighed, turning to face the furious Remilia, who stormed right up to him. Little Fran, sensing her sister's anger, quickly hid behind Alexander, peeking out nervously.

"Alexander! Hand my sister over, now!" Remilia demanded, her voice brimming with anger.

"And why should I?" Alexander asked, standing firm.

"Because I'm her older sister!"

Alexander shrugged. "Well, I'm her big brother now."

"That's different! I'm her 'real' sister!" Remilia was growing increasingly frustrated. She'd never encountered anyone so shameless before. If it weren't for the no-fighting rule in Gensokyo, she would've already drawn her Spear of Gungnir to deal with him.

"Sister? You mean the one who locked Fran in the basement?" Alexander shot back with a smirk.

Remilia's face turned red with rage, but she couldn't argue with the truth.
