Chapter 23: Doing Chores (2/2)
Soon after having come back to Skyloft and finding Graditude Crystals on Beedles island, the first thing Vexalia did is confront Gaepora, "So why exactly haven't you told me I was bleeding? Hell, why did no one?" She questioned the headmaster with the fakest smile ever.
"I didn't think it was important, you've been going to the surface all the time and fighting who knows what." Gaepopra explained to excuse himself, "As for the second part, I doubt anyone is gonna point out someone is bleeding without fearing for their lives." He pointed out, still looking a bit weirded out though.
Vexalia noticed the awkward look on Gaeporas face so she went ahead and asked "What's wrong?", that made Gaepora snap out of it and he pointed to his eyes, "Both your eyes look... Normal..." He informed with an unsure look.
With that Vexalia hurried to the mirror in the room to give herself a look, and indeed, both her eyes looked normal, "What the... How?" She questioned no one in particular, getting absolutely no answer, "...You know what? I don't have time for this, I have other stuff to do." She decided before heading off for other stuff to do.
"You should probably get a red potion before you go." Gaepora suggested, which Vexalia just nodded to, not in the mood to debate that, so she just went to the Baazar to get said red potion, "I still wondering what they put in this stuff... Meh, it's probably bugs." Vexalia shrugged at the train of thought.
Flying off of Skyloft, Vexalia went off to find random stuff to do, "Okay so- What?" She stopped talking when she felt the odd sensation of being looked at, "...The hell was that?" She muttered as she looked around for maybe someone that was flying in the same direction, "Weird." she just said in conclusion before spotting a loftwing sitting on an island.
Landing on it, she saw that there was a girl tending to the loftwing, "Are you okay?" Vexalia asked the girl, noticing that the loftwing was hurt, "Oh? OH! Someone actually arrived!" The girl cheered as she ran up to Vexalia, "You see, me and my loftwing got caught in a hurricane and we just barely managed to land here, but he hurt his wing and can't fly us off." The girl explained as she went back to the loftwing.
This situation made Vexalia chuckle slightly as she pulled out the red potion she got, "Incidentally I got a red potion!" Vexalia said as she fed it to the loftwing, allowing it to heal, "Oh my! Thank you so much!" The girl thanked and Gratitude Crystals formed over her, "Thank you." Vexalia corrected as the girl flew off on her loftwing.
"...Still can't shake off that I'm being watched!!" Vexalia lamented as she looked around, seeing no one either on the small island or the sky, "Nevermind! I'll just go to the surface already! Fi! Any suggestions?" She asked the spirit of the sword, "The most logical course of action would be to go to the sealed grounds." The spirit informed.
With that Vexalia went off to the green light beacon and jumped down towards it, "WAAAHAAAHAAA!!!" She heard as she fell, and turning around she saw Groose falling towards her which made her panic a bit as he grabbed onto her, throwing her off a bit as she fumbled to unfurl her cloth and land a little rougher than usual.
Having gotten used to rough falls, Vexalia was relatively fine, but Groose was far more stunned, which was easily fixed by a slight kick to the side that made him wake up, to the sight of birds, "WOAH TINY LOFTWINGS!?" He exclaimed in shock before noticing the place he was in, "What... Is this... The surface...?" He questioned no one as he was almost speechless, "Yeah, that's the reaction I had." Vexalia reassured as she started heading off to the temple.
"Wait Wait!!" Groose stopped her, "This is where you've been going the whole time!? Zelda is here!?" He questioned, still wrapping his mind around this, "Yeah, she's fine, but I'm trying to figure out how to get to her..." Vexalia explained while walking to the temple, "Oh no way! I'm the one who's going to save her!!" Groose exclaimed as he ran past her to the temple.
"This is gonna be a long day..." Vexalia sighed with resignation, "A very, very long day..." She corrected herself, feeling the headache coming already.
