"We need to operate on this wounded man as soon as possible," stated one of the medical ninjas urgently.

"His wound is still bleeding, and he needs a fresh bandage," added another.

"Shizune, please get me a bandage."

“Sure, right away.”

The  medical ninjas are teeming with injured ninjas, and the medical staff  are working tirelessly to save as many lives as possible. However, the  number of casualties continued to rise, leaving them overwhelmed.

Even the Suna Camp Squad's clash with the Konoha Squad added to the growing list of wounded.

“Lord Shikaku, we can’t handle so many wounded ninjas.”

Lord  Shikaku, who was sitting in the commander's position, listened to the  report with a confused expression. He couldn't understand why Fugaku had  suddenly left and why he was now in charge.

"I understand the severity of the situation, and I will do my best to help," he assured them.

He knew having a few teams of medic ninjas was a privilege in the current state of the ninja world.

Shikaku  was aware that ordering combat ninjas to assist with medical duties  could only hinder their work, as they had different skill sets and  needed to be ready for battle.

So he glanced at Inoichi Yamanaka and Chōza Akimichi and made a decision.

“We need outside help. Let’s send some ninjas to the fire country’s territory and recruit medical staff from the towns there.”

Although  civilian medical personnel might not know medical ninjutsu, they could  effectively treat wounds, disinfect them, and bandage them, which would  relieve the medical ninjas of some of their burden.

“But,  Crunch... Crunch. Shikaku, it will cost a lot of money, Crunch...  Crunch, if we use the camp’s funds for this, I’m afraid... Crunch,  crunch, we’ll have trouble feeding everyone,” said Chōza as he crunched  on potato chips.

Inoichi gave him a silent stare, as the Akimichi clan was known for their huge appetites.

They  had high chakra levels and needed to eat a lot to build up or replenish  their chakra reserves. As a tribute to their clan's eating habits, they  wore the kanji for “food” on their clothing.

While their appetite  was a necessity for their techniques, it was also a source of  enjoyment, and they loved to eat various kinds of food, especially  potato chips, barbecue, and sweets, which they often consumed during  missions or breaks.

“Let’s inform Konoha Village and ask Hokage-sama for more funds. We have no choice.” Shikaku

“In addition, we should consult Tsunade-sama for her knowledge and expertise in medical matters,” Inoichi suggested.

He knew that his friend’s IQ was higher than his, but he still gave his advice.

Ino-Shika-Cho  is a symbol of friendship and cooperation among the three clans. They  have a close bond that transcends generations and bloodlines. They are  also respected and admired by other Shinobi for their skills and  loyalty.

Fugaku changed back into his ninja  outfit and put his hands in his pockets before strolling towards the  camp. He didn't bother to use the body flicker technique.

As he  walked, Fugaku was deep in thought. "Who was that girl? She didn't look  like she was part of the Fourth Ninja Alliance force," he muttered to  himself, scrunching up his face in a frown.

Nono's face came to  mind, but he couldn't remember much about her. Fugaku had been in this  world for a year, and many of the details had become fuzzy.

Even if he did remember, he wasn't sure if it was relevant, as things could change in the future.

He had racked his brain for most of the day, but he couldn’t figure it out, so he gave up with a sigh.

He  felt he needed something that could make him faster, and he knew that  the Eight Gates technique was not a viable solution as it accumulated a  lot of fatigue and could cause muscle tears. He needed something that  was smoother, something that wouldn't take a toll on his physical  health.

Maybe a flying technique was it. He thought of Deidara,  who flew on a clay bird and attacked the Hidden Sand Village alone,  capturing Gaara.

He could come and go as he pleased. Wouldn’t that  make it easy for him to go back to Konoha and meet Mikoto? He wouldn’t  have to worry about losing control of himself again. He imagined how it  would feel to fly in the sky and drop clay bombs on the enemy's base,  then leave.

He would be more dangerous than the Yellow Flash. But  how could he acquire that technique? Getting that technique from  Iwagakure would be unrealistic. He could use magnetism instead of clay.

Deidara? Clay Bird? Even without his hands, he can use a clay bird.

What else could make him fly besides the Sage of Six Paths Power?

It  appeared that flying with Ninjutsu would be feasible. Maybe summoning  beasts would work. An eagle? He remembered that Sasuke had a giant  eagle. But where could he find one? As he was lost in thought,...

Two shurikens whizzed through the air, but Fugaku managed to react in time and dodge them.

Just as he thought he was safe, a dark shadow emerged from the side and swung a tanton at him, catching him off guard.

Fugaku  Gathering his wits, he quickly used his rock-hand ninjutsu to defend  himself from the tanton. It wasn't until he saw the attacker's face that  he realized he was from his own clan.

"Huh? Aren't you one of my clan members?" Fugaku was surprised.

The  attacker, equally startled, tried to pull the tanton with both hands.  "Clan… head… Is that you? Why aren't you wearing a headband?"

"Huh?  Headband? Sorry, I'll put it on." Fugaku remembered that he had  forgotten to wear it. He said this as he quickly donned his headband.

He had never understood the significance of the headband and even questioned its purpose. To protect the forehead?

It didn't do anything. But it wasn't until he joined the war that he realized the headband represented one's allegiance.

In war, it was easy to distinguish between friend and foe with the headband.

The  clan member must have been guarding this area and attacked Fugaku,  mistaking him for an enemy since he lacked a headband. Feeling  speechless, Fugaku patted the clan member's shoulder before walking back  to the camp.

He knew that when Akihiko arrived with  reinforcements, he would look for a flying summoning beast, as it would  be more practical for him.

Fighting with summoning beasts is convenient, but compared to flying ones, it is even more convenient.

Fugaku hadn't met anyone else who used to fight with summoning beasts since that encounter with the rogue ninja.

He also wondered how his abilities would measure up to those of big summoning beasts.

"Hey, why are you still awake? It's so late."
