-----------------------

After all, Fugaku's thoughts are very similar to Shikamaru's. When he transmigrated into this strange new world, he is set on returning to his own world.

However, as time passes, he slowly realizes that there is no hope of going back. He has no choice but to face the harsh reality of his situation—he will have to stay here and make the best of it.

Fugaku knows that in order to live, people need to have their own dreams and goals, and he has learned this from his idol.

Without dreams, people were no better than salted fish. Saving the Uchiha clan and changing their fate was a goal, but it wasn't his dream.

Fugaku has a lofty ambition: to become a renowned ninja in the world. He imagines a world where his enemies are frozen in fear by his mere appearance, and he becomes a force that shakes the entire ninja world with a single step.

In the midst of his ambition, he also yearns for a peaceful life with his family in the mountains.

He dreams of sleeping on the mountain top, basking in the sun, spending quality time with his wife and son, and stargazing.

However, the prospect of becoming Hokage threatens to shatter these dreams, doesn't it?

He had hoped to settle down in a quiet corner of the world and enjoy a peaceful life. But peace was hard to come by.

Anytime, a full-scale war could break out and shatter his tranquil existence. What a nerve-wracking headache, don't you think?

Nevertheless, in order to achieve his dreams, Fugaku must not meet his demise. This is not a game where he can simply restart after death.

Tsunade is taken aback by his perspective on the Hokage position. He appears to be truthful, and there is no hint of deception in his words.

Despite Tsunade's acceptance of the old man's orders and her assisting Orochimaru in acquiring his blood, he did not seem to suspect her of any wrongdoing.

She thought she might have betrayed him, but upon reflection, she realized that she was only following the old man's instructions to ensure the safety and stability of Konoha.

Additionally, obtaining his blood was solely for research purposes to uncover his unique regeneration ability, and Tsunade had no intention of harming him.

"It's alright," Tsunade reassured herself.

As they were lost in their thoughts, a mouthwatering smell of barbecue wafted to them.

Akihiko arrived with a team of skilled cooks who immediately set to work preparing a feast for everyone. The ninjas were weary of the soldier pills that had sustained them on their journey, so the arrival of fresh ingredients and a capable kitchen staff was a welcomed relief.

However, the journey to this point had been slow and arduous. The carriages carrying the supplies and cooks had taken more than 20 days to arrive, delaying the much-needed sustenance.

"Come on, let's enjoy some tasty food."

Eager to finally enjoy a flavorful meal, Fugaku led the charge to the kitchen area, urging everyone to join him.

Tsunade couldn't help but chuckle as she watched him sneak bites from the dishes like a kid in a candy store.

"He acts as if we're on a leisurely picnic," she muttered under her breath.

Despite the lighthearted atmosphere, the group enjoyed a satisfying meal and spent a peaceful night.

--------------------------------

The next morning, Tsunade and Shizune set out to join Uchiha's team of twelve to recruit more medical staff from the Land of Fire.

By noon, they had assembled over 2,000 Uchiha clan members in a temporary open field. In front of them stood only four individuals: Ino-shika-cho and Fugaku.

The silence on the ground showcased the discipline and commitment of the ninjas. Fugaku gazed upon his people with a deep sense of pride swelling within him.

These were his soldiers, each one an elite ninja. He marveled at their sheer numbers—over 2,000! Impressive indeed.

"Ahem! " Fugaku cleared his throat before addressing the crowd: "Listen up, everyone. You are all Uchiha elites, but from now on, you must follow Lord Shikaku's orders until the war ends. Any objections?"

Several members of the clan appeared unhappy, shocked, or angry; he had been prepared for this response.

He pointed at one of the clan members who had a yes expression and said calmly, "You, speak your mind. Don't be shy."

The member appeared startled at being called out but soon gathered his courage to speak diplomatically.

"Well, I don't think Lord Shikaku is fit to lead us."

He was polite, but everyone could tell he thought Shikaku was weak. Many people agreed with him.

Shikaku, who hadn't expected the sharp remarks, sighed, acknowledging the truth of the matter.

His shadow technique was ineffective against the sharingan, and the Uchiha clan, famous for their independent strengths, looked down on his commendable but team-based fighting style.

"Patriarch, Lord Shikaku is too young and inexperienced," one clan member chimed in.

"That's right," another added.

"I agree."

Some clansmen voiced their opinions, and others joined in.

He remained silent, knowing this exchange was necessary. As the clan's leader, he knew that change was never easy, especially when it came to the prideful and powerful Uchiha clan.

He understood that Shikaku's youth and inexperience would make his leadership challenging, especially given that most clan members were older and stronger.

He wanted them to obey Shikaku, but he knew it was hard for them. He raised his hand and said, "Quiet, everyone. Listen to me."

His voice was clear, but everyone heard him and became quiet. After seeing that everyone had quieted down, he walked around with his hands behind his back.

"You are Uchiha, but you are also ninjas. Ninjas need to follow orders and complete missions. That's your duty."

He continued, "Don't worry about who leads the team. This is a war. We have to fight for our glory with our swords."

He said firm and clear, "The Uchiha's honor is not in how many battles we win, but in how many enemies we scare."

He shouted at the clan members, "Do you understand?"

"Yes!"

"Louder, I can't hear you!"

"Yes!!"

The reverberations of almost two thousand shinobi echoed through the ground. Fugaku grinned, satisfied that the speech had made an impact. He drew inspiration from the tactics employed in old war movies.
