"What?!"

"How can that be?"

The trio is in disbelief at Lord Fugaku's proposal. Shikaku even questions whether he is delusional for suggesting that only four people launch a night raid on the Suna camp.

Do they not understand the reality of their enemy? Do they think the opposing ninjas are mere decorations? Or worse, that the Kazekage is a figment of their imagination?

Shikaku, after regaining his composure, took a deep breath before asking, "Lord Fugaku, you're joking, right?"

"No, I'm serious," Fugaku reiterates. "Inoichi's sensory skills are among the best, but his offensive abilities are lacking. If he happens to miss some enemies while on the mission, he could be in danger. That's why I need you guys to accompany him."

Chōza is taken aback by Fugaku's request, causing him to drop the potato chips he was munching on.

Shikaku, on the other hand, remains silent. Meanwhile, Inoichi is hesitant and speaks up, "Lord Fugaku, do you think this is really necessary? Shouldn't you be the one commanding the war? We're all..."

They are stunned by what they heard. Shikaku is the commander of the war, and even though they are supposed to use their skills to assist him in leading the ninja forces, he wants the three of them to join him in a night raid.

Leaving the troops and going on an infiltration mission? Were they stupid? Do the tasks of assassins.

They are taken aback by the proposition, but Inoichi sees Fugaku's serious expression and knows he isn't kidding.

"Kekeke, Lord Fugaku, why don't you invite me for such a fun thing?"

Suddenly, one more individual joins the conversation— a madman.

They turn to see the long-haired man who has just entered the tent, and they feel speechless at the absurd situation

"Lord Orochimaru, you are..."

Shikaku pauses, struggling for words. He implied that Fugaku's plan was absurd, but now that Orochimaru has joined in, it only makes things worse.

After all, Orochimaru is known for his love of research, not risky missions.

Initially, his interest in Fugaku had been mild during his time in Konoha. However, after hearing rumors about Fugaku's clones' capabilities to kill hundreds of ninja, Orochimaru's curiosity piqued.

While passing by the tent, Orochimaru overheard Fugaku's plan to lead a night raid with the three of them. The idea is bold and outrageous, something Orochimaru has never considered. With a desire to test his strength, he volunteers for the mission.

Despite the risks, Orochimaru is confident in his ability to escape if anything goes awry. He is determined to see Fugaku's power for himself.

Orochimaru asks, and Fugaku smiles and says, "Since Lord Orochimaru is willing to go, I'm more than happy to have him."

Orochimaru's long hair sways as he enters the tent, leaving the others speechless.

At first, Fugaku hesitates about inviting Orochimaru, feeling a subconscious repulsion towards the snake-like man. Despite this, Orochimaru's strength makes him a valuable ally. Now that Orochimaru has volunteered, it has saved him some trouble.

"You two, are you serious?" Chōza asks incredulously.

After thinking for a while, Fugaku shakes his head and replies, "This is the best way I can think of to intimidate the Suna camp at the moment. As long as we can successfully retreat after the night raid and it will deter them.

Although it won't affect their decision to continue a war, as long as they don't know that I have left the camp, I think we can delay war for a few months."

Shikaku, the strategist, is contemplating. Risking his own life was not something a leader should do, but Fugaku's strength is undeniable. With Orochimaru's assistance and Inoichi's sensory skills, maybe it is possible?

The thought of betting on a brief chance for peace makes Shikaku feel like he is taking a reckless gamble. He looks at Fugaku and remembers how he had single-handedly wiped out over a hundred sand ninjas with a single clone. A sense of pride rises in his heart, and he can't help but smile.

"This is probably the most reckless decision of my life!" he says.

Inoichi and Chōza give wry smiles. Orochimaru and Fugaku smirk, and so the unlikely and absurd night raid team of five is formed.

At the Suna camp of the Land of the Wind

Rasa feels a throbbing headache. He is facing the daunting task of battling seven thousand ninjas from the Konoha camp, which is just a fraction of Konoha's total strength.

The sheer number of enemies makes him hesitate to continue attacking Konoha's force. If he does, he will have to face off against formidable foes like the Uchiha clan leader and Orochimaru. He will also have to contend with the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, which poses a unique challenge.

For him to have a winning chance, he will need at least 10,000 troops, but he only has a little over 20,000 ninjas in total.

Rasa frets over the possibility of sending more than 10,000 troops to battle, only for them to suffer a crushing defeat, and the Land of the Earth takes advantage of the situation.

Besides, battles aren't won solely by the number of troops; he has learned the hard way when his side, with a thousand ninjas, was decimated by four hundred from Konoha.

An elite ninja from Konoha clashes with his side and kills many of his men.

Rasa doesn't have anyone on his side who can match the enemy's elite except for himself and maybe Chiyo, but the latter has lost interest in the affairs of the Suna village ever since her son died and her grandson was missing.

He hesitates to ask her for help, and he can't use his significant numerical advantage effectively.

Furthermore, many people oppose him and keep him under close watch. If he blunders, he might lose his position as Kazekage.

On the other hand, he can't afford not to attack. Tsuchikage and the Raikage would bide their time and strike when their guard is down.

Rasa has always been ambitious and aimed for the fertile lands, and he can't let the daimyo's incessant complaints that he achieved nothing with the military funds drive him crazy.

He knows that he can't afford to fight a decisive battle right away. It has never happened in the history of ninja battles. He can only rely on his numerical superiority to wear his enemies down slowly.

For now, there are only seven or eight thousand ninjas here, while the rest are still on missions in the towns around the village.

He knows he can keep the supply with his expertise. However, as the sky outside darkens, he doesn't know that today night will be unforgettable for him.
