I Am Peter Parker (MARVEL AU)

Chapter 9: Grinding

"What the! Shit! Shit! Shit!"

"Drifting... Watching the world go-'round."

"Noo! Don't kill me! Please-"

*Crack*

"Listening to unfamiliar feelings and unknown sounds..."

"Oh my god! No! Please! I swear I had no part in this-"

*Bang!*

"Unknown Sounds! Unknown Sounds!"

*Drip.**Drip.*

"Lot's a gossip, I been watching you."

"How you're talking to yourself is rude." Spider-Man sang as he retracted the blade from his gauntlet. Sitting on top of the pile of bodies, as stretched as the red and black texture of his suit glistened in the dim flickering light of the warehouse. The doors of the warehouse opened as Yuri stepped inside along with four other officers with guns in their hands. "Welcome to the party, officers."

"Well, this is less messy than I expected." Yuri nodded to herself as walked in.

"You are late. Like always." Spiderman said getting up and walking towards Yuri. "And I thought typically men were late to their dates. I guess, women these days are truly wearing the pants."

Standing in front of Yuri, Spiderman teased as he pulled the hood of his suit down as the red visor of his mask glowed ominously.

"Sorry my dear, I would have been early if I was able to swing from top-to-top and escape the traffic altogether." Yuri teased back as she traced the outlines of his defined muscles that were pressing against the tight fabric of his suit. "Nice threads. Blood red and pitch black... it suits you well."

"Flattery will get you everywhere, officer but right now, I think you should set up this encounter spot first." Spider-Man said in amusement as he pulled back and walked towards the lockers in the warehouse.

"Damn it." Yuri muttered under her breath.

"So close and yet so far." A male officer snickered in Yuri's ear which earned him a whack from his female partner.

"Fuck off Bart." The female chided which made him grunt before turning towards the bodies. "Don't mind him. You were almost there. Better luck next time."

"Thanks, Trish." Yuri smiled as walked towards where Spider-Man was. "Tell me you have something for me this time."

"My god, Yuri. We have been working together for two months now. You should know that by now... I always have something." Spider-Man said as he tossed her a bundle of files. "Human trafficking this time. If you are fast enough you might just catch a shipment of 'goods' getting ready and set to sail for Italy."

"Hmm." Yuri hummed as she skimmed through the files. "All the prove I'll need."

"That still won't be enough." Spider-Man said as he folded his arms.

"I know. That's why I have you." Yuri said as she winked mischievously. "You get to kill, I have my justice, police gets the evidence, and problems are solved, permanently. That's why we started this merry-band of ours in the first place right?"

"True. I do the dirty work. You re-arrange it artistically, altering the evidence so it looks like an encounter. No witnesses... No one knows the truth."

"Except for us." Yuri said whispering in Spider-Man's eyes as she caressed his arms.

"Yes, except for us." Spider-Man echoed the statement. "I'll see you later then."

"Bye." Yuri whispered giving Spider-Man a peck on his lips over his mask. She stepped back, biting her lips while winking mischievously once again.

"Haha. Cheeky minx." Spider-Man smiled to himself before walking out of the warehouse and swinging into the night.

It has been two months since the Back Riley Harbor incident and there had been a noticeable spike in criminal activities. Spider-Man has become quite the celebrity. He was like a boogeyman, sweeping in as the night fell and purging the streets of its filth. People knew he was no hero, they knew behind every massacre and encounter, Spider-Man was behind it. But, no one would say a word against him, those who did, disappeared. For a few days at least and when they reappeared they would do so as a completely different person.

The general public only had good things to say about him. One reason was that he was viewed as a 'Superhero' and although he was far from a hero, people were fascinated by him. Another reason was that as questionable as his methods maybe there was no denying that they were nigh effective. The scums of the world were sent away, for good. There were no deep pockets that could bribe their subjects out from death's grasps.

That did not mean that he didn't have his fair share of detractors though. The higher-ups in the NYPD, the media, or the rest of the population, who think that law and the system are absolute. The same system that has been catered by the, and for the strong and wealthy.

But Peter could care less even if the whole world turned against him. He wouldn't be serving justice if there was nothing for him in it.

Landing on the rooftop, Spider-Man pulled out a device and triggered it. The building lost power and the communications were jammed. Spider-Man jumped off the edge, free-falling as he approached his destination.

"Rock and Roll! Buckaroo!" He shot the web to the glass and twisted his body. Pulling himself he flipped breaking the glass and entering the 18th floor of the building. "Don't mind if I join, do you?"

Flipping over a desk, he landed in front of a guard and punched him, before grabbing his head and slamming it into the pointy edge of the desk. He took the machine gun from the guard and sprayed the rest of the approaching guards. It was dark, so aside from the fire from the gun, there was almost no way to see Spider-Man.

*Click*

He threw the empty gun aside and brandished the blades in his gauntlet rushing towards the remaining guards. "Oh, how proud I would have made you Jacob."

He slid as he approached the nearest one, kicking his legs in the process taking him down. What followed was a blade to the windpipe and the man was dead.

Jumping back to his feet, he ducked under a knife before gutting the man and tearing open his gut. Kicking him into another approaching man, Spider-Man flipped backward avoiding a tackle. Mid-air he shot towards the man landing on his back. Two quick stomps were thrown out in a succession at the downed, one snapping the man's spine in half the other almost opening his brain.

Cracking his neck Spider-Man pulled his hood down as the red visors glowed ominously.

"Come. The night is still young."

"Ahhhhh!"

Killing another ten of the special guards Spider-Man walked inside the office of the CEO of the company. Walking towards the center of the fancy wall, Spider-Man took off the painting which had hidden a vault door underneath it.

"How typical, Fisk. How typical." Spider-Man snorted as he pulled out a circular object. Attaching the device to the vault door. Peter stepped back as it release a burst of concentrated energy and the door melted into a molten goo. "Using the brains for all the right reasons."

Stepping inside he was greeted by a large room and inside the room, in glass displays were multiple old-looking artifacts. "Not typical things to keep it inside a typical vault. You played yourself, Fisk."

Breaking the glass he made a bag out of the web and begin stuffing the tomes into the makeshift duffle bag.

"Alrighty. Time to go." Stepping out of the vault he tossed a metallic sphere in the room. Walking out of the room he tossed a few more of those as he walked towards the broken glass wall from where he had made his entrance. Pulling out his phone he clicked a prompt as the spheres begin flickering. "A gift to you, Fisk. From your ever caring friend."

"Boom." He whispered as he let himself fall backward.

*Boom!*

Spider-Man swung away as the Fisk tower behind him collapsed onto itself. The feeling when a plan comes together.

"It's simply, orgasmic." Spider-Man joked to himself as he landed on top of a modern two-story house. "Damn. Wade is rubbing off on me. Haha. I hope that dolt is doing good."

Quitely entering his bedroom, Peter removed his suit and put it away. Tossing the duffle bag into his closet he just jumped into bed. Everything could wait till tomorrow. He needed to sleep first.

------

"Morning, May." Peter greeted as flipped the omelet.

"Morning Pete." May yawned as she sat in front of the Kitchen Island.

"Still no used to the new place?" Peter asked as he set a cup of hot coffee and breakfast in front of May.

"No, no! I slept fantastically! It's just that... It's still hard to believe this." May said as she looked around. "I never expected I would be able to live in a house like this."

"Well... I did tell you the Baxter's are paying me well. Once I become a part of the main staff they'll be paying me even more." Peter smiled. The truth was a lot more than that. His daily raids and spoils after the raid gave Peter more than enough money for now. He sold their old house and after adding some more money he bought this house for him and his aunt. The old house reminded May too much of Ben so Peter thought a change of scene might help, and it seems to be working. "I told you I would take care of everything, didn't I? This is just the beginning."

"I know and I am so happy." May said putting her hand over Peter's. She smiled lovingly as she looked at him before she blushed a bit and her smile became strained. "Umm..."

"Something wrong?" Peter asked tilting his head.

"No... It's just that... Shouldn't you be wearing something?" May asked looking away.

"Well, I am wearing shorts. It's not like I am naked."

"No! I meant something more! Like a shirt or something?!"

"I just finished my shower and it was time for you to wake up. So, I just rushed to make some breakfast." Peter smiled as he turned to brew some coffee for me. "It's not like it's something unpleasant, is it?"

"No... It's just that I don't know where to look anymore." May muttered in a daze as Peter's back muscles flexed while water glistened down his skin. Peter was hot, and May could not deny it. "Damn..."

"You said something?"

"Nope! The breakfast is nice." May said leaning on her hand. "You will be a great husband."

"Geez. Thanks, May." Peter smiled sitting down to eat as well.

"So... How's everything at School."

"All good." Peter said taking a bit out of his sandwich.

"How's Mary Jane? Do you guys talk anymore?"

"She's grumpy. She says I have changed and I agree. I'm not a lovesick pup. We talk but it's mostly through Gwen. She and Gwen nearly had an argument two days ago I think. She called Gwen a thieving bitch or something. It was hilarious."

"That's... Bad."

"I know right? High school drama and shit." Peter shrugged. "Gwen is obviously the big brain. She took it well and handled it on her own. The grounds are still shaky but we do talk. Just not like before."

"I see. How's Gwen?"

"You should see her." Peter chuckled. "She's awesome."

"I bet." May flashed a strained smile. "Lucky bitch."

"Huh?"

"Nothing! She's a lucky girl." May said.

"Trust me. I'm a lucky bastard. Haha." Peter laughed getting up with his plate.

"You are something alright..."

------

"Pete!"

"Hey, nerd." Peter said leaning a bit and kissing her cheek which made her grin widely. "You finished the notes?"

"I did. It was easy thanks to you." Gwen smiled as she grabbed his hand began pulling him. "Come on now! Dr. Connor is coming to our school for a special lecture! I don't wanna miss this!"

'...hah.' Peter sighed to himself as he forced a smile.

"Trust me. We won't be missing anything."
