"Silly boy," Kaito shook his head at Sasuke. "The fact that Neji, as a member of the Hyuga Branch family, has become a rogue ninja already indicates some issues. While others may not know for sure if the curse seal was removed, there are always people in the shinobi world willing to take risks for money and power."

"I didn't think of that," Sasuke turned away, slightly embarrassed.

"Alright, it's up to you both how to proceed from here." Kaito's body began to turn transparent. "Goodbye."

After the paper clone disappeared, Neji snapped out of his thoughts.

Darn, I forgot to get closer to Sasuke's uncle.

He was a bit frustrated but didn't show it.

"My injuries have healed," he told Sasuke. "We can leave now."

Sasuke immediately perked up. "Great! We'll set off tomorrow!"

The next day, the two bid farewell to Lady Cat, Huan, and the ninja cats, who were all swayed by catnip drinks, as they left the outskirts.

Inside his lab, after sending Hizashi's soul back to the Pure Land, Kaito sat down in his chair, feeling a bit weary.

This was the question Kaito had pondered.

Turning his head slightly, Kaito found Yūrei resting her chin on his shoulder. For a moment, their faces were incredibly close, their breaths intertwining.

Yūrei's gaze shifted, and her face reddened as she quickly let go of Kaito, standing beside him and then sitting down, acting as if nothing had happened.

She glanced briefly at Kaito before looking away.

"What are you doing out here so late, Kaito?"

"Watching the moon."

Kaito answered honestly, his cheeks slightly flushed.

"Thinking about the Otsutsuki again?" Yūrei rested her chin in her hands.

"No, I'm curious about Hamura."

"Hamura, huh. I'm sorry, all I know is that he went to the moon."

"It's alright. Someday we'll face him."

"Hm?"

"I just don't know if we'll be friends or enemies then."

"Looks like you're ready to act again?"

"Yes, but I'm not rushing. At least not until Sasuke and Itachi's issues are settled."

"Hm."
