Chapter 7: 007 Progress Visualization_1

"Training stand (first section): 0.1%"

Next to the inscription, there were two blank columns as long as two fingers, floating side by side. The one on top was filled with an insignificant red dot, which must represent the 0.1%.

A visualization of martial arts progress?! Is there any other function?

While being astounded, Casio began to further explore.

Regrettably, the residual information on the symbol indicated that it was solely a visualization of martial arts progress, lacking other bizarre abilities such as point attribution speculation. Besides, Casio also learned that the smallest unit for progress visualization was 0.1%.

He had gotten the hang of the training stand the fastest, so naturally, that was what was displayed. As for the combat movements and explosive techniques in the Wind Elephant Basic Combat Technique, Casio hadn't even begun.

"I thought I could level up by cheating, turns out I still have to rely on my own effort." Casio shook his head, letting out a sigh.

However, the ability to visualize martial arts progress was indeed of great assistance to him. The most fearful thing about monotonous training is the lack of a goal, as confusion and timidity happen all too often.

There's no telling how many martial artists have given up halfway down the path which has no end in sight, as day after day of refining inevitably becomes tedious.

That's why qualities like perseverance and diligence are so important in martial arts cultivation, even capable of matching natural talents.

Casio considered himself to be above average in will and determination. Yet, after visualizing his martial arts progress, he might even be able to compete with those at the top in terms of perseverance. With the goal right in front of him, he could constantly feel the joy of progress.

The desire to train was more than just a little bit stronger.

Visualizing martial arts progress was very useful for Casio.

"Hoo~" He released a long breath.

His originally sore muscles seemed full of strength again.

"Well then, let's continue..."

*******************

Whoosh!

Several azure magpies flew across the azure sky.

Casio's gaze was gradually distanced as he followed them.

"Li Wei... Li Wei... Li Wei!"

"Hm? Here!"

Casio snapped back to focus and took a step forward.

In front, Lixia was standing with her hands behind her, speaking. "First of all, I would like to introduce this person to everyone." She stretched out her hand and patted Casio's shoulder, her gaze sweeping over the students in the team.

"Yes, most of you should know him by now. This is Li Wei, the madman who put someone in the hospital on his second day in the Youth Training Camp." Laughter followed her words.

"What's so funny? He managed to take on three people alone, could you?" Lixia paused before speaking again, "Of course, I'm not praising him. What I'm saying is, once you are in the Wind Elephant Youth Training Camp, you must strictly adhere to camp rules!"

"Those who fight with others, regardless of the reason, must accept a punishment of double the usual training volume for a week! And if you don't complete your daily training volume, you will not be allowed to eat in the cafeteria!"

Lixia's voice suddenly heightened.

She lowered her head to look at Casio, "Do you have any complaints?"

"No!" Casio shouted back.

Without rules, nothing can be accomplished. Casio knew Lixia was enforcing the rules, it had nothing to do with whether she liked him or not.

"Good! From now on, I'll be supervising you!"

Lixia patted Casio's shoulder once more, "Go back to your team."

"Yes!" Casio stepped back a couple of steps.

As soon as he stabilized himself, he noticed a worried gaze from his left. The female team, where Li Chu was, seemed to be over there.

"Now, let's start our physical training!" Lixia walked to the side of the team, then told Casio, "You don't have rest time, after they finish running, you have to keep running one more time."

"Yes."

"Good, let's start now."

In the early morning, faint mists were hovering above the distant mountains. The sunlight traced an arch through the air, scattering like rays onto the martial arts field. The Youth Training Camp's martial arts field was evenly divided into five parts, with a group of twenty people on each part.

Looking down from a high altitude.

In the beige square blocks, a long snake-like formation composed of twenty small black dots circulated around the perimeter of the square.

A while later, nineteen of the black dots stopped moving, gathering under the shade of a tree by the sports field. Only one dot continued to run around the perimeter of the square, just like before.

"Huff... huff... huff..."

Sweat began to seep out of Casio's forehead and back.

After running a few more rounds, his cheeks were unusually hot.

"Breathing like this saves more energy than before..." Some odd thoughts involuntarily popped up in his mind, serving as a distraction from his suffering.

Five minutes later, Casio finished the double distance.

"Not bad, you get a two-minute break as a reward." Lixia glanced at the pocket watch in her hand, nodding slightly.

Two minutes later, the next stage of physical training started.

No matter what the students of team four did, Casio had to complete twice their volume. Truthfully, he was having a hard time keeping up.

It was mainly due to his physical condition, Li Wei was too weak.

The whole morning passed, the other students had all gone to have their meals. Only Casio was still struggling with his training on the sports field.

He still fell behind on the last two training items.

Under the tree nearby, Lixia was quietly watching. She looked at her pocket watch from time to time, lunchtime was almost over.

Most of the students should have gone back to their dorms for an afternoon nap.

"Ha!"

Casio struggled to get up from the ground, looking like he had been soaked in water for a long while and then plucked out. Not only was his clothes soaked in sweat, but his black hair was also clumped together.

The sunlight was intense, Casio squinted and looked over. Lixia seemed to be waiting for him by the tree, so he staggered over.

"How about it? Do you need me to help you?"

"No, no need." Casio shook his head, flinging a few drops of sweat from his forehead. His voice was slightly hoarse.

"You've got spirit, let's go, time to eat in the cafeteria. I asked your teaching assistant, Ya Peng, to save some food for you." Lixia took a step forward.

Casio followed behind her, remaining silent.

Ten minutes later, at a corner of the cafeteria by the window.

Lixia leaned back in her chair, silently staring ahead.

Casio, on the other hand, was eating with his head down like a famished ghost, constantly chewing and swallowing. In the middle of his meal, a piece of meat the size of a palm skewered by a fork was handed over to him.

Lifting his head, Casio locked eyes with Lixia.

"Thank you, instructor." He swallowed the food in his mouth.

"Don't thank me, I'm just afraid you'll have no food tonight, so I let you eat more during lunch. Based on your physique and speed, you need to keep training until late into the night to complete the afternoon's tasks." Lixia shook her head dismissively.

"I'll try to finish as soon as possible..." Casio lowered his head and stopped speaking.

After lunch, he returned to the dorms when the naptime was already half over. In the room, on the two beds, five students were snoring like dead pigs, reeking of sweat.

Casio glanced at his own bed, the two guys were already sleeping inside, leaving one single spot for him on the outside.

He looked down at the chubby face sleeping soundly.

A quiet thanks escaped his lips, and then he climbed onto the bed.

With a turn of his head, he was instantly swept into dreamland.
