I Dislike The Male Lead’s Child

Chapter 76.2

Recap: “I hope you don’t drag Avril into this situation.”

As expected, it seemed like only Avril existed in his mind and heart.

Other than that, anything else does not matter.

So, instead of arguing, Andrea brought up a story that might appeal to him.

“You know what I’m capable of, don’t you?”

“If it’s mana affinity, I don’t need it.” – Asellus

“You are a great wizard, but your sociability is average, right? I can see it in my eyes. Your mana is suppressed and on the verge of exploding. You are already suppressing a lot of magic power for Avril, so your heart must be numb.”

As Andrea had touched Asellus’ most vulnerable thoughts, his body stiffened.

Suddenly, the surroundings became so quiet that even the sound of breathing could be heard.

Andrea broke the silence and spoke.

“Haven’t you ever thought about this? You and I are forming an alliance. My mana affinity must be something you’ve never seen before. Isn’t it tempting?”

Asellus became silent.

It was only then that Andrea smiled calmly.

“I have a great ability to channel mana, so I can remove stagnant mana from all over your body. It might also be helpful in your research.”

Asellus asked after much consideration.

“What do you want?”

“One’s personal safety. It’s simple.”

Andrea laughed.

Asellus also curled the corner of his mouth.

Actually, it didn’t matter what the reason was.

The princess, born illegitimate, had no authority.

The only common thing between them is that both were at rock bottom some years ago.

Because Asellus lost his parents early and suffered hardships, Austell’s support base was not solid.

Both gained power at once, but they were in a precarious position.

In addition, the princess was being sacrificed by the King’s political play.

Asellus doesn’t know if the princess herself enjoyed it, but the princess seemed to have different intentions from the King.

There was no better word to use.

Asellus nodded gently.

“It’s good.”

If it wasn’t good, you could just throw it away. [talking about Andrea]

Andrea’s eyes lit up as she could clearly see his true intentions.

Asellus is like a mysterious jewel that changes its color.

“Please put an end to the scandal first. It will be most certain for the person involved to come forward.” -Asellus

“Oh, why don’t we postpone that for a bit ?”

At Endria’s words, Asellus looked back at her.

“There’s nothing better than covering the King’s eyes and ears, right? Wouldn’t it be better to be fully prepared and strike him in the back?”

Asellus laughed coldly.

What Andrea said wasn’t entirely wrong.

But there was a big flaw in her words.

That Avril’s sacrifice comes with it.

Whatever the reason, Avril will be in people’s mouths.

Asellus had no intention of letting her be swayed by dirty rumors.

It’s an extravagant price to pay for joining hands with the princess.

Asellus ended the conversation without hesitation.

“We don’t have the same views. I will take back what I said earlier.”

Asellus turned around and vanished in thin air.

“So this is it.”

Andrea’s eyes sparkle like a pink jewel.

Asellus revealed his weaknesses so easily and had no intention of hiding them.

He must be confident enough.

A confident attitude is typical of someone who is perfectly superior.

Andrea somehow felt like breaking his nose.

“If this happens, I will have no choice but to become closer to Mrs. Austell.”

If Andrea had a choice to make a connection, she preferred Avril, who is like a spring breeze, than a hardened and cold steel like Asellus.

Moreover, if Avril commands Asellus to die, he will do it right away.

Andrea immediately changed her target.

“Because it’s Avril.”

A refreshing smile appeared on Andrea’s face.

********

Avril’s POV

The wide intersection was filled with stores.

I just turned around one of the streets with no end in sight, and several hours had already passed.

Aside from the pain in my legs, I could no longer see the dresses and accessories I had seen countless times.

It all looked the same.

‘When will it end?’

Avril wondered.

I glanced at Mrs. Lovtree.

There wasn’t even a trace of fatigue on her face.

‘Should I suggest going back soon?’

As I was sighing, someone greeted me.

It was a mysterious brown-haired woman.

“It’s been a while. Mrs. Lovtree, Mrs. Austell.”

I glanced at Mrs. Lovtree and saw that she looked dissatisfied.

Judging by the fact that Mrs. Lovtree backed away without even accepting her greeting, it seemed like she wasn’t in a good mood.

‘I should let it go in moderation.’

After thinking about it, I greeted her with a calm expression.

“It’s been a long time.”

“Are you doing well?” -Avril

“Yes! I am,”

Replied the brown-hair lady

“Then have a good time.” – Avril.

That lady walked away without saying another word.

She was murmuring herself, but it was none of my business.

I was exhausted enough to care about such things.

Only then did Mrs. Lovtree quietly open her mouth.

“Something never changes. Her temper is still the same.”

A hint of displeasure appeared in her expression.
