Chapter 25: Vincent Is Starting To Go Crazy
The next day, Rihanna had to head back to South Zondalia after a one-night stay at Sean and Odelia's house. She had a new client that she needed to work with immediately. That's why she had to go home immediately.
Before going home, she went to one of the cake shops in the city center to buy the cake that Megan had bought yesterday.
"The name of the shop is Luxury Cake House, I told the driver the address so you wouldn't get lost," Megan said.
"Thank you very much, Megan. Thank you also Odelia and Sean, I'm very happy to have been invited to the party yesterday. Especially to be driven home again," Rihanna told them.
"No problem, come again next time. You can tell Odelia and I'll send someone to pick you up again. Odelia will be happy to have a friend along with her," Sean said.
Rihanna nodded her head, she thanked him profusely and got into the car and left the house for the cake shop Megan had mentioned.
Arriving at the cake shop, Rihanna looked at the cakes displayed in the window and chose her favorite mango cake.
As she was walking out of the shop, someone suddenly called her and Rihanna recognized the man's voice.
"Rihanna, what are you doing here?" asked a blonde man who walked up to her.
Reflexively she turned her head and found Vincent walking towards her. Of course she was surprised to see him, she didn't expect to run into someone she didn't want to meet.
'Damn, why did I have to meet him? I just bought a cake and went home. What a horrible coincidence, why does he have to be here too?' she thought in confusion.
"What am I doing here? Oh just hunting elephants for my lunch later. What do you think I'm doing near the cake shop?" she asked back, trying to sound displeased with Vincent's presence there.
"Ohh... Did you just buy a cake? But you must have something else to do here, right? From South to North takes five hours, there's no way you're just here to buy a cake," he said.
'He's smart too-'
"That's none of your business, is it? Wherever I am has nothing to do with you. So you better shut up and leave." Rihanna opened the car door and placed the cake box on the seat where she was about to sit.
However, just as she was about to get into the car, Vincent caught her arm. "Did you just see Odelia? Is Odelia around?"
"What are you saying? I didn't meet Odelia. And even if I did, I wouldn't tell you about it."
"Where is she, Rihanna? Do you really know where she is? Please tell me, I'm really crazy without her. I want to get back together with her, please Rihanna... I'll do anything for that..." Vincent begged her.
Rihanna who witnessed it at first felt sorry for him, but Vincent's whining bothered her more and more. Especially after she remembered everything Vincent had done.
Fed up with it, Rihanna snapped at him.
"No wonder why Odelia doesn't want to come back to you! Just forget about her! You're already with your ex-girlfriend anyway, right? Forget Odelia and let her be happy with her new family!"
"Her new family?" asked a surprised Vincent.
She was surprised by her own words, not knowing she was going to say anything more than that. Rihanna immediately covered her mouth and tried to calm her anger so that she would not speak out again.
But Vincent immediately grabbed both her shoulders and shook her, asking about Odelia's whereabouts.
"So you really know something, tell me where she is! Rihanna, tell me where Odelia is!" he said very forcefully, making Rihanna both scared and annoyed.
Because of her mounting frustration, she shouted for help which made people rush over to them.
"Help me! He's trying to do violence to me!" she shouted, and several men immediately pulled Vincent away.
"You can't be like that with women! You call yourself a man by torturing women?!" snapped one of the men.
"Wait... This is a misunderstanding! I didn't abuse her. I just..."
Before he could speak, they were beating Vincent. He tried to fight back until he finally managed to escape. Rihanna felt a bit guilty about it as she looked at Vincent who had been hit, but she still felt dizzy from her body being shaken by him.
She then got into the car and drove away, as did Vincent who went straight home.
At home, he felt his head and body ache from the blow.
Alice was the first to see her brother coming home with a battered face.
"Vin?! What happened to you?" she asked frantically. "Mom! Monica! Come quickly!"
The woman helped Vincent walk into the living room, and Samantha and Monica rushed over to them as soon as she heard the commotion.
"Oh my God! What happened? Why did you come back injured like this!" asked a shocked Samantha, as did Monica.
They sat Vincent down on the sofa and Monica got the medicine box to treat the man's wounds, but he refused.
"You need to be treated, Vin. What exactly happened to make you hurt like this?" asked Monica who took a clean cloth to clean Vincent's wound.
"I was just looking for Odelia, and I'm sure that woman knows where Odelia is..." he replied.
Hearing Odelia's name mentioned, Samantha became upset and scolded Vincent not to look for Odelia. She didn't want her name to be mentioned in their house again.
"I told you, I don't want her back here! Why are you still looking for her, huh?! Have you disobeyed me?"
"She's still my wife... Odelia is still my wife and I love her," Vincent replied.
"But Vin, she's gone off with another man! That woman doesn't deserve to be with you! You already have me, why are you still thinking about her?!" This time Monica also scolded Vincent because she felt he continued to love a barren and annoying woman like Odelia.
Hearing Monica's remarks about her being there, Vincent brushed aside the container of water that she held in her hand. It surprised him that the water soaked her.
"Vincent! What are you doing?" Samantha became even angrier as she witnessed this.
However, Vincent, who had gone crazy looking for Odelia after six months of her disappearance, no longer cared.
"This is all your fault! You three have ruined my marriage! Making my Odelia leave without me knowing where she is! Three of you... Get out of this house!" he threw out angrily.
"What the hell are you, Vin? You're kicking us out just because of that shameless woman?!" asked Alice looking at her brother.
"Yes, I kicked you out! Everything was fine between me and Odelia, until three of you came along! This is my house with her, so you need to get out of here!" He yelled at them all and then walked away from the living room.
Seeing Vincent throwing a tantrum like that made Samantha even more upset. She didn't know what had happened to her son and if Vincent had known that Odelia was around, he would have immediately asked her to come home.
"Mom, I don't want to leave here! I want to stay here!" said her daughter.
"Right, I want to stay here with you too, auntie..." Monica held Samantha's hand.
The middle-aged woman nodded and said she wanted to stay with them. But she had to do something before Vincent would meet Odelia one day.
"We have to do something."
