I Reincarnated into a Game Filled with Mods

Chapter 0

[The Creature that Devours the World NG+10, No-Hit Barehanded Clear (Darkest Light Mod)]

With this, I’ve completed the Brightest Darkness 4 Darkest Light Mod All Boss No-Hit Barehanded Clear.

Everything else was fine, but the fact that there was no parry made it a total pain to dodge one by one with rolls.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comments.

Are you serious?

I can’t even keep up with my eyes, why is there someone who can clear this?

Are they really insane? LMAO

What’s the playtime? Is it around 10,000 hours?

Check it out now. counts fingers

30,171 hours.

I thought you were human, but you’re a beast! sigh

It’s been a decade since the game was released, and you’re saying you have 30,000 hours? Is that even a life?

This is life, where do you find life?

??????

Clearing vanilla No-Hit Barehanded is already tough, but Darkest Light Mod No-Hit Barehanded is freaking hilarious.

You just need to watch and dodge, why can’t you do that?

Shut up, you bastard.

As I stretched my back and yawned, a groan escaped my mouth. The comment notifications just wouldn’t stop, but I ignored them all.

I picked up the phone from the desk and threw myself onto the bed. My head buried deep into the blanket. I ignored the real-time notifications piling up in the status bar as I browsed through the Brightest Darkness community.

‘Am I the first to clear No-Hit Barehanded in Darkest Light Mod?’

The video I recently uploaded, ‘The Brightest Darkness 4’, affectionately called ‘Brightest Darkness 4’, celebrated its 10th anniversary this year.

Let’s say it stimulates the spirit of challenge; bad side, its notoriously ridiculous difficulty has created a huge cult following worldwide, especially with the 4th installment being ridiculously successful.

Thanks to that, the community is filled with all sorts of hardcore players. Only acts like blindfolded clears or even pedestrian clears were enough to earn you some respect.

It was a notoriously difficult game to begin with, and naturally, those who had stuck with it for a decade were bound to be insane.

However, the Darkest Light Mod was something else entirely.

It was a masterpiece combining and polishing countless chaotic enemy enhancement mods into one ultimate mod.

From the get-go, the target was hardcore players who had nothing to do in the game, engaging in every type of crazy feat, so you could only imagine how ruthless it could get.

When I had around 10,000 hours of playtime, I was getting destroyed by the first boss in the tutorial area without being able to do anything.

There were just disgusting patterns that made you question, “Did they really create this to be cleared?” Especially with the various instakill attacks and area attacks that screamed “You must die if you don’t know this,” I had lived with profanity for a while due to frustration.

As I painstakingly played to reach the skill to achieve the highest tier No-Hit Barehanded clear, somehow my playtime exceeded 30,000 hours.

“What should I do now?”

As my sense of achievement faded, an emptiness washed over me. Having achieved what had been my life’s goal for several years made me feel like I had lost direction.

‘When the hell will they release Brightest Darkness 5?’

If there were any details about Brightest Darkness 5’s release, I could have at least turned on my happy circuitry.

The first game released 19 years ago, the second 17 years ago, the third 15 years ago, and the fourth 10 years ago, yet since then, no news about the 5th installment.

After 4 years since its release, they only showed a trailer with the 5th logo once, and another 6 years passed; fans of the series were slowly losing their minds, and I was one of them.

Thinking to just take a nap, I was about to turn off my phone when an unusual kind of notification reached my ears.

Curious, I pulled down the status bar to find one email floating above countless comment notifications.

“What is this?”

The preview was filled with English. It was an email from overseas. As soon as I checked it, I squinted, thinking it might be spam.

As I peeked through the contents, starting with calling for “more about this,” I was about to throw it into the spam folder when I spotted a particular word that made me freeze.

I immediately touched the email and read it slowly from the beginning.

“The Brightest Darkness 5… CBT?”

To summarize the email: they were recruiting participants for the CBT of Brightest Darkness 5 and asked if I was interested. If so, click the attached link.

Huh?!

I shot up instinctively. Brightest Darkness 5? Really? I was on the verge of clicking the link without thinking, then barely managed to hold back and stop myself.

My fingers, which had turned stiff in mid-air, were trembling.

“… No, this could be a lie.”

Yeah, there’s no guarantee this isn’t spam. I could get screwed by clicking that link without thinking.

I calmed my mind and, in an attempt to summon the collective intelligence, typed on my smartphone keyboard with shaky hands.

[Hey, I just got an email from the Brightest Darkness developers, what’s this about?]

I just received an email for the Brightest Darkness 5 CBT invitation, but I can’t tell if this is a scam or not. Damn it!

[Comments]

Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5? Brightest Darkness 5?

Of course, that’s bullshit, there’s only been a 15-second trailer released! CBT? LOL

Anyone can see that’s a scam, just delete it and block them.

If you believe that, can you give me a guarantee too?

? No, that’s really from the developers’ official email, you idiots.

That’s the correct official email address, check the link.

Damn, it really is!

Is that really the official email????? Brightest Darkness 5 is finally coming out, damn it????

It’s indeed official!

But why would this guy get a CBT invitation?

No idea.

“Is it really from the Brightest Darkness developers?”

With doubts creeping in, I compared the email address, and it was indeed the correct one of the company that developed the Brightest Darkness series.

Just to be sure they weren’t using upper and lower case tricks to scam me, I turned on the computer and painstakingly verified each and every letter—it was truly the official email.

‘If this is official, I should apply and think later. I’ve got nothing to lose. I absolutely must go for this, seriously.’

With my excitement peaking, I clicked the link and was instantly sucked into the monitor.
