Yun Xia glanced at the little zombie.

Since he had agreed, she had no reason to object hence, she nodded her head. “Okay.”

Once the laboratory manager received her agreement, she immediately became elated and said to Yan Zhuo in a kind tone, “It’s not painful. We’re just going to take some blood. Not only can it be used for research, but it may even cure your sickness.”

The little zombie hugged his silver hair and nodded his head.

The laboratory manager smiled warmly and motioned for him to sit on the chair.

Yan Zhuo walked over before he stopped and looked towards Yun Xia.

The girl had not moved from her place and when she saw him staring at her, she raised her brows and asked, “What’s wrong?”

The little zombie blinked his eyes and hesitated a little before he lowered his eyes and softly said, “I’ll be obedient and have my blood drawn so can Xiaxia agree to one of my requests?”

The demon lord was slightly startled and pondered for a moment.

If they could really use Yan Zhuo’s blood to research the zombie virus and cure the humans, that would really be a great help to her and her Faith Points would be even higher.

In the first world, ever since she found Yan Zhuo, it seemed as though she hadn’t needed to do anything.

With such a useful and handsome helper who saved her lots of time and energy, pampering him was no problem.

Hence, she nodded her head. “Sure, I’ll promise you. As long as it’s within my means, you can ask for anything.”

The little zombie had an expressionless face yet the bracelet on his slender wrists lit up.

The light blue color was very beautiful.

He pursed his lips and said softly, “Xiaxia is able to do it… It’s very easy.”

With that said, he turned around and carried his silver hair towards the experimental chair. He obediently sat on it and drooped his long eyelashes.

Actually, he had not told them everything.

He was different from others. Because he was raised in the laboratory since he was young, he had been fed all kinds of medicine so his pain tolerance towards drawing blood was many times lower than a normal person.

He was neither a human nor a zombie. After his body had changed, his blood became the most important constituent in his body so the consequence of having his blood drawn was bearing with the pain. That pain was unimaginable by others.

The needle pierced through the little child’s tender arm.

He lowered his eyes and his breathing became sluggish.

Yun Xia stood at the side and saw the light from his bracelet on his wrists slowly dimming.

Drawing blood was not considered to be serious yet the little child’s face became paler over time and his long and luscious eyelashes covered his beautiful pair of grayish-white eyes.

He was originally a quiet person but now he became so quiet that there was no noise at all. He was like a beautiful doll.

The laboratory manager took the syringe needle off.

Yan Zhuo raised his eyes and looked at that bottle of blood before he quietly lowered his eyes again. The pain was so excruciating that it overwhelmed his consciousness but he was used to such degrees of pain. Other than his pale face, nobody could tell that something was wrong.

The girl stood beside the experimental chair.

He had not known if he was pampered too much by her these days but in the past, he would silently tolerate the pain by himself yet this time, he instinctively turned his head and grabbed her fingers. “Xiaxia, hug me.”

The girl lowered her head but did not reject him. She rolled the silver hair into the little child’s arms and carried him.

The little zombie snuggled in her embrace and rubbed his small face on the girl’s shoulders before he obediently laid in her arms and stayed still.

The lab manager immediately said, “Bring him back for a rest. Once we have made any progress, we will notify you immediately.”

Yun Xia glanced at the little zombie and saw that he seemed to lower his eyes in discomfort. Hence, she nodded her head and carried him out.

She curiously asked, “What is the request you wanted me to fulfill?”

The little zombie sprawled on her shoulder and paused for a while after hearing Yun Xia’s question before he softly said, “I’ll tell you later at night.”

He wanted to bite Xiaxia for a while.

Just a while.
