“Are you scared? You may not stay as first place for any longer.” The demon lord said in complete satisfaction.

Jiang Heng’s arm was nudged by her and he lowered his eyes to give her an indifferent glance.

The teenager slowly moved his arm away and tidied his white sleeves with his slender fingers with a graceful posture.

His long eyelashes were slightly drooped down and his face was devoid of expression but he pouted his lips and spoke with a pleasing yet deep voice.

“Don’t mess around.”

There were no emotions in that sentence as he lowered his eyes and had an expressionless face while his deep voice harbored a hint of laziness.

But Yun Xia was stunned.

Messing around?

She was a dignified boss yet she was scolded by her underling for messing around?

The demon lord was in disbelief.

She frowned and wanted to give him a scolding when the headteacher waved his hand. “That’s enough. Go back first… Yun Xia, I will not call your parents this time. Next time, put more effort into completing your examination papers.”

It was obvious she had only got that question correct and could not make the headteacher believe her words.

Yun Xia pouted and took her examination script before nodding respectfully to the headteacher. She could not be bothered with Jiang Heng anymore and left the staffroom.

The headteacher said to the teenager, “Go back to your classroom as well. Although your results have always been stable, you cannot slack off in your learning.”

Jiang Heng respectfully nodded his head and took the information for being the substitute teacher on the table as his fair fingers touched the white papers beside him.

He glanced at it before taking it and stuffing it into the book pages.

“I’ll take my leave.” The teenager had a cold voice and was so steady that no emotions were revealed.

“Sure, go ahead.” The headteacher nodded his head.

Jiang Heng left the staff room and his slender figure passed by Yun Xia’s classroom.

The subject representative quickly ran out and stopped him. She nervously said with a blushing red face, “Erm… Jiang Heng, the mathematics department is having a competition lately. Are you interested in it?”

The teenager glanced sideways with his cold eyes and had no expression yet he remained in his demeanor as a model student and stopped his footsteps out of courtesy. “No.”

The subject representative regretfully gave an “ah” yet she did not want him to leave just like that and started to find topics to converse with him.

“Did you bump into Yun Xia at the staff room earlier? I don’t know what has gotten in her mind but she passed up a blank examination script. She’s already a third-year student yet she still doesn’t know how to be responsible for herself…”

She habitually mocked a few sentences before she met Jiang Heng’s black pupils.

He kept an expressionless face that looked warm yet cold at the same time. The shape of his eyes was beautiful as his eyes under his long eyelashes stared silently at her.

“Is there anything more you want to say? If not, I’ll take my leave.” The teenager pursed his thin lips and seemed uninterested in her words before he lowered his eyes and left with the pile of documents in his hands.

This sense of distance was very obvious and made the subject representative a little dejected as she stared at his back.

The afternoon classes passed by.

Once the teacher announced the end of class, the students swiftly packed their things and noisily walked out of the classroom as they awoke from the listless stupor they had in lessons.

Jiang Heng sat at his seat with an indifferent expression while his long fingers spun the pen in his hands.

His fair fingers and black pen strangely suited each other.

After ten minutes, he was the only one left in the classroom. The classroom was filled with silence.

The teenager wore a white shirt and sat silently be himself with a strict and cold demeanor.

He gazed at the pen between his fingers before giving it a casual throw on the table. He raised one of his fair hands and slowly loosened his collar.

His thin lips curled up slightly.

That small movement had an additional sense of laziness amid the coldness. As his white collar was loosened and unbuttoned, his beauty had a hint of evilness.

The teenager’s gaze was icy cold and lazy as he leaned back on the table behind him with an indifferent posture. He lowered his luscious eyelashes and his thin lips curved with gusto.
