I, The Celestial Dragon, Rule The Heavens Through The Double Gate

Chapter 45: The Layout Of The Fish Man Island.

Seeing the silent Doflamingo, Kaos had to admit that he was indeed a smart man.

Shaking his head, Kaos raised his legs and asked, "You want the cooperation rights for the new weapons?"

"Yes," Doflamingo replied, nodding as business was brought up.

Kaos gestured with a wave of his hand at Zero.

Zero turned and left, returning shortly with an AK-47 in his hand.

That's right—this was the new product produced by the World Government.

Taking the weapon, and under Doflamingo's curious gaze, Kaos aimed at a wall and pulled the trigger without hesitation.

Bang, bang, bang.

Fire spewed forth, and countless bullets flew out immediately.

The so-called recoil naturally did not exist in Kaos's hands.

In just moments, the magazine was emptied, leaving the wall riddled with bullet holes.

As a modern weapon, compared to the muskets commonly found in the One Piece world, this was an immense upgrade.

Doflamingo watched the demonstration, his mind quickly grasping the great value of this weapon.

If it shows up on the black market

Someone will definitely need it.

No.

It is very much needed by many people!

Especially among the criminal syndicates in the West Blue—it would sell out instantly!

Doflamingo's eyes revealed a deep longing as he envisioned the massive profits.

Without hesitation, he said, "Is this the new weapon of the World Government? It's truly remarkable. If Your Highness is willing to grant me the cooperation rights, I'm willing to buy one weapon for 100,000 Berries. What do you think?"

"One hundred thousand?" Kaos sneered, setting down the AK-47. Calmly, he replied, "If you want the cooperation rights, fine. Five hundred thousand Berries per weapon, and ten thousand Berries per bullet for a hundred-round magazine."

Hearing this, Doflamingo's brows furrowed in deep thought.

In this world, a standard firearm costs tens of thousands of Berries at most. Better-quality ones could fetch over a hundred thousand.

But five hundred thousand?

No!

That's insane.

Even worse, the rate of ammunition consumption would be astronomical.

Hundreds of bullets would easily be expended in a single day, and in large-scale conflicts, thousands might be used.

Still, this wasn't just an ordinary weapon.

Even though the price was exorbitant, the firepower and destructive capability made it worth considering. Without needing to experience it firsthand, Doflamingo could tell it wasn't weak.

There would undoubtedly be plenty of buyers.

Although the price of 500,000 was outrageous, it wasn't impossible to accept.

The issue was that this was only the wholesale price.

To profit, Doflamingo would need to mark it up significantly, which came with substantial risks.

Yet, decisively, after a brief pause, Doflamingo nodded. "Fine, I accept the price Your Highness has proposed."

Kaos raised an eyebrow, momentarily surprised at how quickly Doflamingo agreed, but a glimmer of appreciation shone in his eyes.

Tap, tap, tap

Knocking his fingers on the table, Kaos nodded. "Good. Someone else will handle the specifics with you later. This is a trivial matter for me—not worth my time."

"I came to you because there's another task I want you to handle."

"Think of it as an additional condition for obtaining the cooperation rights."

This sudden addition felt like a last-minute price hike.

If it had been someone else, Doflamingo might have been enraged and torn his head off.

But standing opposite him was Kaos.

Instead of anger, Doflamingo felt thrilled.

After all, he was well aware of Kaos's extraordinary status.

How could he refuse such an opportunity to forge a closer connection?

"Please, do tell," Doflamingo said without hesitation.

Kaos's satisfaction was evident. "You should be entering the Grand Line soon, correct? If so, I want you to use whatever means necessary to make the situation on Fish-Man Island even more chaotic."

"Fish-Man Island?"

Doflamingo was startled, his face betraying surprise.

Currently, Fish-Man Island was already in turmoil.

Princess Otohime was alive and tirelessly advocating for the equality of Fish-Men and humans, hoping to elevate Fish-Man Island's status and ensure its people would no longer be treated as slaves.

On the other hand, the presence of slavers had fueled the rise of a faction of Fish-Men who deeply resented humans and sought rebellion.

Kaos, however, was indifferent to these disputes.

But Fish-Man Island was undeniably a critical location.

Its strategic position beneath the sea, along with the existence of Poseidon, made it invaluable.

Unlike the Pluton or Uranus, Poseidon's ability to control Sea Kings gave it unparalleled power in a world dominated by oceans.

Kaos was determined to bring Fish-Man Island under his influence.

Its people would become his followers—no exceptions.

The current unrest wasn't enough. Kaos needed chaos to escalate.

Only then, when he intervened, could he take control of Fish-Man Island in one decisive move.

"Make it chaotic?"

Doflamingo didn't immediately agree, instead pondering the request.

After a while, he asked, "Any degree of chaos is acceptable?"

"Yes," Kaos affirmed but warned, "Just don't further deepen the hatred between humans and Fish-Men."

"I understand."

"Good. In that case, I agree to your condition," Doflamingo nodded.

He already had a plan in mind.

If human-Fish-Men hatred couldn't be stoked further, then the ongoing conflict between Otohime's peace faction and the War faction from Fish-Man Street would be exacerbated instead.

It would be easy to amplify the discord.

Previously, the World Government's watchful eyes had made meddling impossible.

This time, however, was different.

Doflamingo wouldn't have dared before.

But now, with Kaos's blessing, there was no reason to hold back.

"While I'm at it, I might as well capture some Fish-Men as a gift for His Highness. Who knows? He might appreciate the gesture," Doflamingo thought, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.

The image of Princess Otohime and King Neptune surfaced in his mind.

Kaos, unaware of Doflamingo's schemes, had merely laid a chess piece.

If it worked, great.

If not, the consequences of his disappointment would be Doflamingo's to bear.

Shortly after, Kaos left the conference room, leaving only Doflamingo and Eleanor behind.

Watching him, Eleanor warned, "Though I don't know His Highness's true intentions, do not disappoint him, Doflamingo. Do you understand?"

"Of course, Eleanor Palace," Doflamingo replied smoothly. "I won't let His Highness down—no need for reminders."

Still, he couldn't resist asking, "That said, can you tell me more about His Highness's identity? I'm curious."

He was indeed curious.

Such existence.

There is no news.

If he say he is not curious, it must be a lie.

Although he know the status is very high.

But in fact, this news is no different from not knowing anything.

Eleanor's eyes flickered coldly. "Keep your curiosity in check. His Highness's identity is not something you can hope to comprehend. Sometimes, ignorance is safer."

With that, she departed, leaving Doflamingo to his thoughts.

Her words had revealed much.

"It seems His Highness's identity is unimaginably high," he mused.

Still, Eleanor was right.

Knowing too much could lead to disaster.

For now, Doflamingo was content with his gains.

"Let's go, Trebol," Doflamingo ordered, a sinister smile spreading across his face.

"The seas are about to get far more interesting. And with it, our opportunities will grow."

"Yes, young master," Trebol responded.
