Chapter 29: Will You Go Out With Me
Nagisa's lips curled into a wicked smile, the kind that made it impossible to read her true intentions.
"Why are you so scared?" she teased, her voice dripping with amusement. "It's not like I'm going to bite, you know?"
Kouhei felt a shiver creep up his spine. "W-Why are you here, Kiyohara-san?" he stammered.
"Shhh..." She pressed a finger to her lips. "They're already asleep. The Prez might come sneaking in later, slip into your bed while you're not looking. But for now, while she's not here... I'm taking my chance. I'm here to see you... in secret. Just you and me."
"...Why would—"
Before he could finish his thought, Nagisa closed the distance between them, moving so quickly he barely registered it. Suddenly, she was right in front of him, invading his personal space. Kouhei instinctively backed up, his heart racing, and he stumbled back onto the bed, feeling the mattress dip beneath him. Nagisa followed, her movements smooth as she settled beside him.
"I'm interested in you," she said, her voice dropping to a low murmur, leaning in just enough that he could feel her breath against his skin. Then, with a sly smile, she placed a hand on his face. "Will you go out with me?"
Kouhei's face flushed bright red. "G-Go out?" he choked.
"Yes," Nagisa replied. "A normal relationship. You're cute, you know that? And I like cute types. You've got my blood pumping, you know? You've got my heart racing. You're probably the type of guy who'd do anything for the people he loves. It's so noble. I like that."
Her fingers trailed lightly over his hand, sending a shiver through him as her touch lingered on his skin.
"You've got a good sense about things, I can tell. And you're sharp. You're good at whatever you put your mind to. Do you handle your own housework? Your hands... they're rough but soft. Despite your feminine look, you've gained some muscle in your forearms. Have you been doing push-ups?"
Kouhei nodded, swallowing hard. He'd been doing push-ups for the past couple of months, hoping to build a bit of muscle to balance out his delicate features. It hadn't felt like much progress—nothing worth showing off. But somehow, Nagisa had noticed.
"I like the feel of your skin too," she continued, her fingertips grazing over the curve of his arm. "And your face... It's just my type. I feel like I could watch you sleep for hours."
"W-Why do you like me?" Kouhei asked. "D-Does it have something to do with the fact that I'm the child of anti-prophecy? Are you faking this, trying to use me to gain more strength by getting closer?"
It was the first time they'd ever spoken like this, the first time they'd even met face-to-face. The idea that she'd developed feelings for him so suddenly was impossible to grasp.
Nagisa pouted, her cheeks puffing up in a way that almost seemed childish. "You're making me mad, Kou-kun. Do you doubt my feelings?"
"I'm sorry for doubting you, but... I can't help it. I mean, this is our first time even talking."
"Don't you believe in love at first sight?" she whispered, her voice taking on a sultry edge as she leaned in closer, her face now inches from his. "Don't you think it's possible that I fell for you the moment I saw you?" Her eyes bore into his, daring him to look away, while he leaned back instinctively, trying to put some space between them.
"It's hard to believe, honestly," Kouhei admitted.
"You're very worried, aren't you?" Nagisa giggled. Then, she pressed her body against him, her arms tightening around him like a snare, as if she had no intention of letting him slip away. Her soft cheek brushed sensually against his, warm breath teasing his ear. "How about this? Do you still doubt me?"
Kouhei's mind was spinning, his confusion quickly giving way to the distracting sensation of her breasts pressing firmly against his chest. It was overwhelming, clouding his thoughts, making it impossible to focus on anything else she might have meant.
"The beating of my heart," she whispered, her voice dropping lower, sultry and teasing. "You can feel it getting louder, can't you? It's because my body's pressed right up against yours. The closer I get, the faster my heart races, the hotter my body feels."
Now that his head was starting to clear, Kouhei could feel it—the steady thud of her heartbeat against his chest. Ba-dump, ba-dump, ba-dump. It resonated through him, oddly soothing despite the tension in the air. But what really got to him was her scent, the fresh, clean notes of soap and shampoo mingling in the air, wrapping around his senses and making his thoughts feel like they were short-circuiting.
"You're such a cute boy," Nagisa purred, her lips curling into a wicked smile. "If you become mine, I might just give you some special rewards, Kou-kun. Rewards even the Prez can't offer. Like, for example, if you grow stronger, I could give you... some affection." Her voice turned husky, her breath brushing against his ear, a whisper that sent shivers down his spine and made his brain feel like it was turning to mush.
Kouhei's blush deepened, his cheeks burning as he swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. Nagisa's gaze darkened as she drank in his reaction, her eyes glinting with satisfaction.
"...What should I do with you when you make a face like that?" she murmured.
Before he could respond, Nagisa closed the distance between them, pressing her lips to his in a sudden, fleeting kiss. It was just a quick peck, a teasing brush of her lips against his, but when she pulled back, Kouhei's mind went blank, too shocked to process what had just happened.
Nagisa's expression softened into something more dangerous, her eyes gleaming with a glazed, heated look. "This... it made my heart race," she whispered, her fingers brushing over her lips like she was savoring the sensation. "I've never felt like this before."
And then she kissed him again, but this time, her lips parted, her tongue slipping between his. The wet, intimate sound of their kiss echoed in the quiet room, filling the air with a heady tension. Kouhei felt himself melting into the sensation, her warmth seeping into him.
Nagisa's tongue moved against his, swirling and exploring, while Kouhei's own responded instinctively, their breaths mingling as the kiss deepened. The heat between them built rapidly, Kouhei's mind teetering on the edge of overload, while Nagisa's body trembled with the intensity of the moment, the warmth spreading through her like fire.
When they finally broke apart, gasping for air, a thin thread of saliva stretched between their lips.
