Kargis experienced a brief moment of illusion.

And when the illusion ended, he returned to reality.

But by then, he was already entering the countdown to the end of his life.

The pain coming from his chest constantly reminded him that death was approaching.

'What exactly had happened?'

Kargis was shocked and confused.

He wasn't some rookie who had just stepped into the world of Nen...

Ever since he saw Aindo fall prey to what seemed like a Manipulation-Type Ability, he had remained on high alert, constantly using Gyo to guard against hidden tricks without hesitation.

If something had truly been placed on him, or if he had been hit by some sort of Nen Ability, the Gyo he frequently used while fleeing would definitely be able to discover it right away.
