I'm Really Not a Pokémon

Chapter 36: Finale

Rope sat on the chair, pressed his brow and said to the four big men in front of him, "In other words, Nobuhide died in a very disgraceful manner."

The four big men looked at each other. Although they didn't know what Rope meant by "face", considering the way Nobuhide died, they could more or less guess what Rope meant.

"Nobuhide's Gengar wasn't his own Pokémon, I'm afraid." Rope muttered to himself as he raised his head to look up at the ceiling.

Knowing that Rope wasn't talking to them, the four Khans had the good sense not to make a sound, and each watched with their own eyes, not daring to interrupt Rope's train of thought by making a sound.

"The whole thing started as a massive operation by poaching organizations all over the world, and we entangled a large group of people to organize this operation, and wait until Hoopa breaks the seal and either gets sealed again by Prison Bottle, or reconciles with the little Hoopa and rejoins as one."

Rope's tone grew more ethereal and his eyes more mesmerized.

"Suspicions in this matter, Hoopa Unbound has an odd pattern of actions, skipping multiple stages and growing too fast compared to what should be the pattern of behavior. nobuhide's death and Gengar's disappearance."

"Conclusion, Hoopa Unbound's unblocking has a push from the mastermind behind the scenes, and among them, Nobuhide, who is the head of the poaching organization behind the scenes, isn't really the mastermind behind the scenes, Nobuhide is just a pawn, or even an outcast."

"The trigger for the whole thing, was Rai's arrest, and the further clue gained, was Denki's exposure..."

"Doubtful, Denki said he was Rai's brother, but Rai didn't mention it. And the resemblance between the two... there's no resemblance... Rai remained in the Kanto region after completing his mission, and even carried out several highly dangerous missions, but he wasn't short of money... the Kalos region had lined up four Pokémon Hunters to come and support them, so why not just have them carry the Prison Bottle."

"Guess, there is some relationship between Rai and Denki, but it may not be a brotherly relationship like Denki said. Rai stays in the Kanto region for other purposes, or even just actively exposing himself to us. Rai's strength may be so strong that letting him carry the Prison Bottle is the only way to let the Kalos region's Pokémon Hunter leader at ease, which means Rai can pick off a foursome. There's no way he can't beat me with just Charmander."

Rope's disembodied voice drifted through this slightly empty office, and at some point Cynthia, Diantha, Lance, Red, and Blue all crowded into this office, listening quietly to Rope's words, again without making a sound to disturb him.

"Conclusion... Rai and Denki are in trouble. With the possibility of being behind it."

"Doubtful, why would Rai and Denki voluntarily expose themselves?"

"Guess, these two guys don't like Nobuhide; these two guys feel that the existence of Nobuhide or the entire Pokémon Hunter organization is blocking their own plans of some sort."

"Guess number one is ruled out; there's no need to be so subtle about disliking Nobuhide; it's more straightforward to just tell my door that Nobuhide exists."

"Guess number two extends it further, Nobuhide and the entire Pokémon Hunter Organization exist for the purpose of concealment, but Nobuhide's high-profile development has made the Pokémon Hunter Organization less covert, less meaningful as a façade, and even in danger of exposing itself, so the Pokémon Hunter Organization and Nobuhide are both going to disappear, and it just so happens that they have some sort of method in their hands that will allow Hoopa Unbound to gain the previously stated status. And this likewise answers the question of how Hoopa Unbound can be tampered with. The three people known to have had access to such a thing, Rai, Denki, and Nobuhide."

With that said, Rope snapped back to his senses, then in an instant he was up, transformed into flames, and sprinting as fast as he could towards where Rai and Denki were being held.

"Bang!"

Er, he didn't go through the door and knocked the wall down.

Good thing it wasn't a load-bearing wall...

Watching Rope's back as he left, Lance followed with an ugly face... if there was nothing wrong with Rope's guess... he, the person in charge of the operation, could be said to be derelict in his duties...

Blue and Red glanced at each other, both saw a bit of worry in the other's eyes and a hint of excitement underneath them.

An organization or individual with the power to manipulate Legendary Pokémon had appeared?

Diantha was looking at the distant flames as if she were a god.

"How did this guy... analyze it?"

She asked, slightly dazed.

Cynthia smiled at her and said, "That's why I said, you shouldn't underestimate Rope."

Diantha let out a bitter laugh at her words, "Are you kidding me, the youngest Doctor in the League, one of the Legendary Pokémon trainers in the League, a humanoid Pokémon, and such a good brain..."

Saying this, Diantha looked at Cynthia with a complicated face.

"I before, it's not worth it for you to like a newbie trainer, although this guy's achievements in the field of research can hang 90% of the researchers, but people without strength always lack common topics, and there is always a ceiling for growth. You have to know that Professor Oak, who is the current ruling figure in the research world, was also a trainer who transformed into a researcher."

"I never imagined that Rope would be able to take in Entei with such a crisis. even his special ability can strengthen Entei, I'm afraid that my Mega Gardevoir will only be able to go through a couple of moves with his Entei strengthened after it evolves."

"Cynthia, I feel now, you are so lucky."

Cynthia smiled brightly at her words.

"I feel the same way."

————————————

Inside the dank confinement cell.

This is the Pewter City Police Department's confinement cell, dark but not damp, cold but not dirty.

You could say it's quite a nice environment to hold criminals.

Rai and Denki looked at each other, then Rai smiled and said, "Looks like our plan worked."

Denki grinned hideously, "In that case we can officially join the organization, right?"

Rai's mouth twitched slightly...

"In theory... yes..."

But for now, they were still locked up in this cold and cramped confinement room.

"All of our Pokémon are stowed away somewhere in the organization... you said it wouldn't make to be obscured..." Rai's face looked rather odd.

"How could it be! Do you think people would care about our two or three big cats?" Denki fell back on his face, as if he had full confidence in the so-called organization in his mouth.

"Of course we won't care about your few Pokémon that aren't considered strong."

In the shadows, a man wearing black and gold embroidered clothes with a pair of golden eyes appeared somewhere at some point.

Rai and Denki first tensed up, their whole body tensed into a guitar string that was pulled tight.

But soon relaxed again.

Like they were relieved.

"Don't worry, the two of you have already obtained our codenames, then the organization will not give up on you easily."

The man with glasses smiled very kindly.

Unfortunately, the fake one was very...
