I’m the Only Human at the Beastman Academy, and now Everyone seems Obsessed with Me.

Chapter 10.2

I immediately pulled out my smartphone, opened the Su-in University website, and double-checked the regulations. As I thought… nothing!

‘What kind of rule isn’t even listed on the website?!’

Romantic relationships between consenting adults are perfectly natural! Expulsion for a little intimacy? Don’t make me laugh!

“Like hell I’m going to suffer because of a bunch of horny idiots who can’t control themselves!”

Afternoon Elective Class.

Choi Eum-ah spent the entire lecture with her mind consumed by thoughts of Joo Jihyuk.

‘Does Jihyuk hate me?’

She had thought they’d grown close enough to make playful (?) requests and offer comforting (?) gestures. But lately, it felt like Jihyuk was avoiding her, and her worry was growing by the minute.

‘What if I did something wrong without realizing it?’

Burying her face in her textbook, she fought back tears. Jihyuk was the first person who seemed genuinely interested in being her friend without ulterior motives.

If they drifted apart now…

‘That would be too sad!’

Sniffle, sniffle.

Meanwhile, in the first-floor dormitory lounge, several Su-ins eating dinner glanced out the window. Spotting a dejected, sniffling Choi Eum-ah dragging her feet outside, they sprang to their feet like a herd of buffalo in the savanna.

“Eum-ah! What’s wrong?!”

“Who made our Eum-ah cry?!”

“Was it during mating season? Did someone bother you?”

“Who’s the bastard?!”

They might not be the sharpest tools in the shed, but they were good-hearted. Whoever had upset their sweet friend was in trouble now.

“H-hoeeeng…”

As Eum-ah began sobbing openly, her friends gathered around, showering her with earnest licks and comfort. Only after her ear fur was practically plucked clean did she finally stop crying.

“What happened?”

Desperate for advice, Eum-ah explained her situation in simple terms: “There’s someone I like, but I don’t think they like me back.”

“It’s not Joo Jihyuk, is it?”

“N-no, of course not!”

“Figured as much. That guy looks like a total loser anyway.”

“Yeah, Eum-ah, you’re way too good for someone like him.”

“Ugh… uuuh…”

Eum-ah felt disappointed in herself for not being able to shield Joo Jihyuk and keep his name out of the conversation. But that wasn’t the most pressing issue right now.

“But if he’s a dorm resident, isn’t it better to avoid him altogether?”

“Oh, yeah. True.”

“…? Why? Why is that?”

Eum-ah blinked in confusion at her friends’ reactions. Normally, they’d be cheering her on, right?

The smartest-looking Su-in in the group adjusted their glasses before speaking.

“It’s in the school rules. If you’re caught having sex, both parties are expelled.”

“W-what…? Seriously…?”

“Yeah. Apparently, every year, female students get attacked by male Su-ins during mating season and end up dead. That’s why the rule exists—or so the small-animal seniors say.”

“Ah… r-really…?”

Hearing this for the first time, Eum-ah was thrown off balance. She started thinking back to her interactions with Joo Jihyuk. They’d come close—really close—and she’d thought it wouldn’t be long before they went all the way.

‘I have to give that up because of a school rule?’

“Hey, that’s not true. It’s not an official rule,” another Su-in chimed in.

“…Huh?”

“It’s just a rumor. If it’s not listed on the school’s official website, how can it be a real rule? Besides, why would consenting adults be expelled for something like that? Everyone’s responsible for their own body.”

“Exactly.”

“So… the seniors lied to us?”

“Who knows? But it is strange that it’s only the small-animal seniors spreading this rumor.”

“Yeah, when you think about it, that is weird.”

…What? So it’s not a rule?

Listening quietly to her friends’ debate, Eum-ah felt a wave of confusion wash over her. Finally, she slipped out of the lounge unnoticed.

As she stepped into the elevator, she caught a familiar scent.

‘…Jihyuk’s scent.’

It lingered even as she got off the elevator on the fifth floor, leading her down the hallway. From room 503, she heard Jihyuk’s voice. Curious, she tiptoed closer and pressed her ear to the door.

Twitch-twitch.

“Does picking Teemo in this comp even make sense?! What the hell, you bronze idiot!”

‘Angry Jihyuk… is the best…’

Eum-ah’s heart fluttered.

In her mind, Joo Jihyuk was ranked number one by Forbos as the sexiest man when swearing, and hearing his voice—even from outside his door—recharged her energy.

‘Time to put this energy to good use!’

After taking a shower, Eum-ah lay naked on her bed, her flushed skin glowing. She let out a soft sigh as she began to caress her chest, exploring herself with delicate fingers.

‘What did Jihyuk do again?’

Trying to recall the sensations, Eum-ah wiggled her fingers experimentally. She vividly remembered him touching, sucking, and teasing her nipples, but no matter how much she tried, she couldn’t replicate the feeling on her own. It was frustrating.

‘Am I supposed to spend my entire college life just masturbating by myself? That’s so weird.’

She was a grown adult now. Even as a Su-in, she was legally an adult under the law’s definition.

‘From the way everyone reacted, the rule against on-campus sex might just be a rumor… but even if it’s not, it doesn’t matter.’

Jihyuk was worth it.

If she could have him entirely to herself, expulsion was a price she was willing to pay.

“Ugh. This is why you can’t queue with bronze players,” Jihyuk muttered, frustrated.

Playing a few matches with Na Min-seo to clear his head had only drained his rank points.

Still, his thoughts had started to come into focus.

“A university full of adults telling other adults not to have sex? That’s ridiculous. Pew pew pew.”

Rules were made to be bent, and if he looked carefully enough, there had to be loopholes. For example, the dorms didn’t have CCTV in the rooms, and since the administration had put him in the women’s dorm “for his convenience,” they weren’t exactly enforcing strict policies.

The whole idea of an unwritten rule about sex seemed absurd. A school rule that wasn’t even listed on the website?

“Do they think this is some kind of urban legend?!”
