Chapter 17: 17. Training
Running on the treadmill…
And after five minutes, Anna slumped on the side.
It seemed that she still underestimated how weak her body is. It was only an extremely short walk, but Anna already felt that her body was about to break.
She wouldn't be able to survive going down 16 floor downstairs in this situation.
Looking at the treadmill, Anna gritted her teeth.
Isn't it just jogging?
She will prove that she could last longer!
After resting for a bit, Anna started to jog on the treadmill, trying to preserve for a longer period of time than before. She could feel that her legs felt weak, but Anna still continued to jog.
Until she couldn't continue and slumped on the floor again.
Looking at the time, Anna felt her face turned black.
Even after forcing her body to continue running, she was only able to jog for 10 minutes? This is outrageous!
How come she's so weak?
Anna wanted to cry but there were no tears.
She could only try again and again.
She didn't know how many times she tried when her phone rang. Anna could only weakly pick her phone and saw that it was Dylan calling. She naturally still has his phone number but after a long period of time, she hadn't contacted him again.
It seemed that the two of them just gradually drifted away.
Anna pursed her lips and answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Anna, did you want to come for dinner or not?"
"Ahhh, I forgot… I don't think I can move for the time being, so please wait for a bit…"
"Anna? Did something happen to you?"
"Uh… I tried to exercise now my leg is sore." Anna was embarrassed. She never liked training ever since she was young and her three friends naturally knew this. Since there was no necessity for her to train her body, they also didn't force her to train with them.
Lucy and Mark were training maniac while Dylan himself has his own training.
Only Anna was the weakest.
…She's truly a weak chicken.
QAQ.
Thinking about this again, Anna already felt immense regret for her laziness.
She hoped that the rain and flood will stop soon so that she would not have to train continuously like this.
"How about if I come there and help you?" Dylan frowned when he heard Anna's weak voice. He knew that this girl has always been very lazy in the past.
Now that the situation was like this and she was forced by herself to train hard, he guessed that Anna's body might not be able to handle it.
"Uh…" Anna had to admit that her current body's condition was indeed not the best. "I'll open the door for you."
"Ok."
Dylan didn't hang up the call and walked to the opposite door very quickly.
Anna was still able to stand up after some struggling and opened the door, letting Dylan to come in.
Seeing Anna like this, Dylan shook his head. He walked inside while hanging up the phone. "You can't train like this in the future. You will only hurt yourself and strain your muscles. If you truly want to train, you need someone who can supervise you."
Anna nodded weakly.
Even if she felt that she lasted longer, she didn't think that this would last for a long time.
"I just want to train my endurance through running."
Dylan looked at Anna and guessed that the flood downstairs must have caused Anna to feel a bit of panic. Even he himself frowned when he heard that there was flood and the water level might rise because the rain hadn't stopped.
But there was nothing that he could do but to wait.
It was a bit suffocating.
"If you truly want to train, you can follow me and Kitty to practice. In any case, Kitty also had to train and if you come along, he should be able to behave better," Dylan made a suggestion.
Being lazy was clearly not an option.
He was also thinking about asking Anna to ask Lucy and Mark. But thinking that these two were so active to enhance their relationship, he decided that it would be better for Anna not to disturb them.
This suggestion actually worked in his favor.
Dylan looked at Anna seriously.
Being stared like that, Anna felt a bit uncomfortable.
She knew that Dylan was right.
But…
"Wouldn't I end up bothering you a lot in this way?" Anna asked back.
"It's not a problem at all. Besides, you can help to persuade Kitty to train. That lazy cat is getting even lazier lately." Dylan shrugged and looked at Anna. His tone changed to be a big aggrieved next. "Or do you not want to accompany me, Sister Anna?"
