[Option 3: Do nothing - Completion Reward: Stelle leaves the party.]
Upon seeing Option 2, Bochang was slightly taken aback.
"Double? That doesn't seem right. Logically, there should only be one gaze, as March 7th isn't nearby. Wait... Could the other one possibly be Bailu?"
At this thought, Bochang found it somewhat unbelievable.
Regarding Serval...
In Belobog, Bochang had initially gained favor with one of his Dating Options by playing bass and wooing them, eventually convincing her to leave.
But what about Bailu?
Bochang hadn't done anything significant yet...
If pressed, the only action he could recall was briefly patting her head earlier.
"Right... When I touched Bailu's head, she didn't resist, but when Jing Yuan tried..." Bochang pondered. "Could the Dragon Talisman's magic have such a strong allure for Bailu?"
After some thought, unable to find an answer, Bochang shifted his focus onto the other two options: Option One and Option Three.
He sensed that these two options would ultimately lead to the same outcome:
Stelle leaving the group to capture Kafka alongside Welt Yang.
The only difference lay in the process...
One involved Bochang persuading Stelle to go,
while the other required Stelle making the decision herself.
From Option Two, it seemed that to change the story's outcome, Bochang would likely need to disrupt Stelle's emotional state.
Without Serval and Bailu present, Bochang might have considered this approach. However, with them watching...
Bochang could only let Stelle pursue Kafka, as Option Three offered no rewards and thus wasn't worth considering.
"Option One."
Bochang looked at the gray-haired girl and said, "Stelle, you seem somewhat preoccupied. Is it about Kafka? If you want to go after him, don't worry about me."
Upon hearing this, Stelle appeared taken aback, momentarily unsure of how to respond.
Serval blinked, suddenly realizing that if Stelle also left, she would be alone with Bochang for the remainder of their journey.
As for Pascal the robot, Sophia the familiar, and Bailu who seemed to have her own background - Serval didn't give them much thought.
"Does Stelle want to go?" Serval asked.
Stelle hesitated for a moment before nodding.
"I must admit, I am concerned about Kafka's situation."
It was impossible for the gray-haired girl not to care about Kafka. After all...
In "Remembrance," there were no memories of Bochang but several involving Kafka. She also clearly remembered his name.
Stelle continued, "But... but I'd like to accompany Bochang around instead."
"This task can be entrusted to me." With her black guitar slung over her back, Serval placed one hand on her hip and gently flicked her golden hair aside. Her demeanor exuded confidence and assurance, "I'll take good care of Bochang; you can go without worry."
Strangely, upon hearing this, Stelle felt even more uneasy.
How could she describe it? Even Stelle couldn't articulate it precisely, but there was an indescribable discomfort within her.
Bochang's tone softened.
"It's your choice, Stelle. I won't force you, but... I still hope you make decisions based on your own thoughts, not just out of concern for me."
"...I understand." Stelle looked deeply into Bochang's eyes.
His black pupils were as bright as when they first met, reminiscent of their time at the Herta Space Station.
Initially, their relationship had been quite ordinary. Stelle even thought to herself, "I probably wouldn't look for a boyfriend like him."
However, everything changed with Bochang's awe-inspiring Dragon Blast.
It subtly altered her perception of him. From Bochang's gaze, she also felt encouragement and support.
"Yes... I can't rely on him for everything; I must have my own thoughts."
After a brief three-second pause, Stelle responded firmly, "Alright, then I'll join Uncle Yang and the others. Sorry, Bochang, although I really want to be with you too, I... cannot ignore Kafka."
"I'll be going now."
With that, Stelle turned around, ready to catch up with Welt-Yang, March 7th, and Tingyun who had taken another route.
At that moment...
[Rewards being distributed—Congratulations! You have received the item: Ultra Soft Facial Tissues (1 box). Whether used for wiping your mouth, bottom, or crafting purposes, it promises an exceptionally pleasant experience.]
Clearly, this time Bochang did not draw anything particularly valuable.
Completely ignoring the system's notification sound, Bochang reached out to stop her and said, "Wait a moment."
"What is it?"
Stelle halted, turning back with a slightly puzzled expression.
"If you're aiming to capture Kafka, I think this might come in handy." Bochang retrieved an item from his System space—the Dog Medal. "When worn, it significantly enhances your sense of smell. Within a ten-kilometer radius, it guarantees precise detection of your target."
The Dog Medal resembled a black stray dog and had a pin on the back, allowing it to be attached to clothing.
Stelle asked, "Your meaning is... you'll lend it to me?"
"Of course." Bochang nodded. Having learned from past experiences, he refrained from casually offering to give away the Dog Medal this time, to avoid potential unintended consequences.
"Although I've heard from others that you sometimes produce peculiar items, seeing it firsthand still feels truly remarkable."
Serval looked at Bochang as if observing a rare specimen, especially when recalling the possibility of his connection with dragons.
What else could he be but a rare specimen?
"Come to think of it... if Bochang really has ties to dragons and isn't purely human, would there be reproductive barriers?" This thought crossed Serval's mind, drawing upon his background as a former researcher for the Silvermane Guards.
Unconsciously, her thoughts drifted towards some peculiar scenarios.
"It's nothing, Serval. You'll get used to it over time," Bochang reassured her with a smile.
Seeing this exchange, Stelle reached out and accepted the Dog Medal.
Bailu silently listened to their conversation without uttering a word. Her curious gaze remained fixed on the Dog Medal.
As for its authenticity, Bailu had no doubts whatsoever.
"If I had something like this... Miss here wouldn't be captured so easily, right? Just by memorizing those Alchemy Commission guys' scents, once they come close, I could instantly make my escape!" With this thought, Bailu felt a slight surge of excitement within her.
But how could she acquire such an item? That was the question.
Shortly after... Stelle departed.
Bochang's squad diminished by one member.
Only Serval, Bailu, Pascal, and Sophia remained.
