The gathering of high-concentration spiritual particles in a large area even attracted the attention of Adjucha and even Gillians throughout the Menos Grande Forest.

But none of them had the courage to approach Shendu's location.

They instinctively stayed far away.

This was because all Menos Grande who had evolved knew that during the evolution process, the individual was in a state of absolute violence.

Any existence that entered their Reiatsu range would incur monstrous wrath.

The flames gathered toward the center, forming a tornado-like pillar of fire that engulfed the dark green body, carving into it bit by bit.

The already perfect demonic body was marked with strange lines.

On top of a quartz tree far away, Szayelaporro, who had been about to leave the Menos Grande Forest, froze in place.

He sensed the familiar and terrifying aura, as if all the moisture in the air had been evaporated.

Every breath felt like fire burning down his throat.

"The speed at which this guy evolves..."

Szayelaporro gritted his teeth with disgust and hatred.

"I have to hurry; otherwise, it will interfere with the conception research plan!"

The next moment, he simply disappeared into the depths of the Menos Grande Forest.

Time passed—Shendu did not know how long.

The flames in the Menos Grande Forest had subsided, leaving the once-hardened ground nearby crystalline and transparent.

At the center of the area, Shendu still sat cross-legged.

However, compared to his former burly physique, his body now appeared significantly smaller, only about the height of a normal human.

This was one of the defining traits of a Vasto Lorde.

At this stage, there was no longer any need to rely on predation for evolution.

Nonetheless, Shendu's overall form had not changed much.

The only noticeable difference was the addition of strange lines on his dark green skin. These lines were symmetrically distributed on both arms, faintly emitting a scorching aura.

As far as Shendu knew, the only one to accomplish this was Coyote Starrk, who split into two individuals out of loneliness.

There was also a rumor that Ulquiorra was an autonomous Arrancar, but Shendu doubted it.

Whether his Reiatsu met the standard or not, if Ulquiorra relied on external forces, it had nothing to do with autonomous Arrancar.

After all, according to Shendu's knowledge, Ulquiorra's mask was broken by a mere branch...

Szayelaporro, one of the earliest Vasto Lorde and Hueco Mundo's most accomplished researcher, likely understood Arrancar early on.

However, his imperfect evolution due to insufficient potential forced him to rely on Aizen's power to complete the process.

The second method involved using the Hōgyoku, which embodied the Spirit King's power to draw out potential.

Though effective, the Hōgyoku merely acted as a guide and was far from omnipotent.

Undoubtedly, Shendu would only pursue the first method.

Using the Hōgyoku was akin to suicide.

A manipulative figure like Aizen would undoubtedly plant undetectable traps. Kaname Tōsen was living proof.

Working with Aizen was like asking a tiger for its skin.

"Arrancar or not, it doesn't matter."

Shendu was unconcerned.

"In my view, the potential of the Twelve Talismans far exceeds that of Arrancar."

With abilities such as the immortality granted by the Dog Talisman and the soul-targeting power of the Sheep Talisman. the Twelve Talismans could shake the foundations of the Three Realms.

Shendu gazed out over the deep and sprawling forest, the occasional roars vibrating through the air.
