Watching the two sides of the fight I briefly considered helping out and ending this quickly, but thinking other wise I decided Spider-Man and Jean need this. With me here the Lizard wouldn't win no matter what he did, but if I interfered now Jean and Spider-Man would be publicly embarrassed in front of the news camera sticking out the door on the news helicopter.
Packing up my items back into my inventory I unfurl my wings and move out of the Camera's sight, liquefying myself I blend into the shadows cast along the rooftop by mimicking a paint can.
Starting the fight the Lizard breaks the tension by dashing towards the button on the Ganali Device, using his webs to accelerate himself Spider-Man meets the Lizard head on with his fist. With a crack of the air the Lizards head snaps back and he stumbles.
Using the momentum from Spider-man's punch the Lizard spins on his foot swiping down with his tail at Spider-Man, unable to dodge Spider-man braces for the attack only for Jean to grab him with her telekinesis and yank him out of the way. Seizing the initiative Jean tears blocks of concrete off of the elevator access and hurtles them at high speeds towards the Lizard.
Smacking a majority of the concrete projectiles into dust, the Lizard ducks around the largest blocks only to get whacked multiple times by the smaller faster projectiles. Losing his balance the Lizard gets knocked back scales flying off from the force of the impacts only to nearly instantly regenerate.
Coming in from the side Spider-man jumps above the Lizard and shooting a web towards the Lizards feet slingshots himself down punching square on top of the Lizards head. The force of his punch is so great the rain in a 5 metre radius is blasted away.
Following up before the Lizard can recover Spider-man springboards off the ground cracking the concrete floor beneath him as he drives his fist into the underside of the Lizards snout, the force booming across the roof as the Lizard is sent flying.
Looking on from the shadows I'm mildly impressed by Spider-mans shear strength, but at the same time I pity him as I realize his mistake before him.
Landing on the ground the Lizard slides across the rain slicked cement before coming to a stop at the foot of the Ganali device. Spider-man quickly realising his mistake rapidly shoots webs out trying to capture the lizard, Jean also tries to help but is getting exhausted and can only slow the Lizard.
Reaching the Lizard at the same instant he's about to press the button, Spider-man hits him square in the chest knocking him back enough to prevent the Lizard from pressing the instant release button but fails to stop him from hitting the timer.
With a loud beep the device powers up, red lines flickering over its digital display before settling into a timer displaying 1 minute. With a quiet beep the display flickers and changes to 59 seconds.
Now more desperate Spider-man ignores the Lizard and tries to stop the device. Catching Spider-man off guard the Lizard stabs towards him with his tail, seeing this Jean is able to slow the tail enough for Spider-mans spider sense to trigger.
Angling his body Spider-man is able to avoid getting speared straight through his chest but still gets grazed. Flying through the air Spider-man is about to fly over the edge when Jean catches him with her telekinesis, falling to her knees Jean pants in exhaustion as a trickle of blood drips down her nose.
Standing up the Lizards wounds knit together at a noticeably slower pace than before, watching as the Lizards flesh twists and squirms as it has a mind of its own mildly repulsed me.
Standing up both Jean and Spider-man stand on their feet, Jean with a swipe of her arm clears the blood from her nose and takes a deep breath. Spider-man on the other side of the roof uses a web to seal his wound.
Both combatants gaze at the Lizard standing firmly next to the Ganali device the screen clicking down to 35 seconds. Dashing forward Spider-man slides underneath the Lizards wild swipe, now inside the Lizards guard he begins rapidly beating the Lizards chest.
Jean on the other side of the roof uses her abilities to snap off the spines on the Lizards back and uses them as weapons against him. Receiving attacks from two sides the Lizard isn't able to react and spits blood.
Digging deep into his back some of the spines Jean shot travel far enough to break through the skin on the Lizards chest. Regenerating now far slower than before the lizard falls to his knee's scales falling away as he slowly shrinks.
Dashing forward I catch Jean as she falls unconscious, Spider-man on the other hand Dashes towards the Ganali device. Looking at the timer on 3 seconds and counting down I know he won't make it; I also know I could easily stop the device with just a thought. But where's the fun in that?.
Reaching the device Spider-Mans hand slams down on the abort button a microsecond too late, and with a woosh of air a bright green ball of light launches into the sky. Looking at the vial I gave him Spider-man hesitates a second before slamming it into the machine and hitting the immediate launch button.
Watching as the blue orb shoots into the sky ,smashing into the green orb that was slightly slower I smile. At this moment I still don't know which vial has the mystery potion and it could have been the one launched into the air. Merging with the green orb the blue orb seems to corrupt its colouring before with a large explosion the blue orb is scattered across the sky.
Raining down softly the blue flakes settle gently on the people below before fading like embers from a fire. Not seeing any immediate reaction I sigh, I guess the mystery potion doesn't get used.
On the other side of the roof the Lizard regenerates enough to regain consciousness, watching as the lizard traits seemed to shy away from anywhere the blue flakes landed was quite interesting. With a groan I could see the Lizard returning to his human form.
With a animalistic roar the lizard draws the final vial of lizard serum and injects it into himself whilst screaming in a part reptilian part human voice.
"No!, I won't let you take my work from me Spider-man." – The Lizard
Diving towards the Lizard, Spider-man tries to stop him but falls short. Waking up Jean and healing her I watch on as the Lizard seems to freeze for a second. Standing up from where he fell Spider-man rushes at the Lizard only to be blown back when the Lizard explodes in a cloud of steam.
Waving away the steam a mist of small blue and pink particles can be seen floating around the rooftop. Grinning ear to ear I poke Jeans shoulder, Jean seeing my grin seems to figure out this has something to do with the surprise I mentioned earlier.
Waving away the steam I can hear a feminine cough from the origin of the cloud, using a small application of psionics I clear away the last of the steam to reveal the Lizard in all his, now her glory.
Sitting on the ground with a confused and mortified look is a young woman looking to be around the age 25, the woman has long green hair cascading down her shoulders covered in smooth pine green scales. The woman's arms are covered in smooth white skin from her shoulders down to her fingers, the tip of her fingers have short green nails that look like a mix between a lizard's claws and a human fingernail.
Below her scale covered shoulders her hair rests obscuring her large shapely breasts, following down her hourglass figure a short tail about a metre long rests on the ground behind her. Finally, her long smooth legs end with humanoid feet covered in scales from just below the half mark on her calves.
Unable to resist any longer I burst out laughing, my unsettling laughter rings out across the rooftop pulling everyone from their shock. Placing Jean down I approach Dr Connors sitting on the ground, and seeing her confused look burst into laughter. Tossing her a set of clothes to change into and a blanket in case she wasn't in the mental state to put them on I shift the floor into a large cubicle to preserve her dignity.
Turning to me Spider-man hobbles over, standing in front of me I stop laughing for a bit so Spider-man can speak. Raising his hand, he seems to think for a bit before dropping his hand again, raising his hand with a single finger pointing up he seems to catch his words.
"Did you gender bend Dr Connors?" – Spider-man
Giggling to myself at Spider-man's reaction I reply.
"Yup, what do you reckon?" – Morgan
"I don't know, why and how did you do it?" – Spider-man
"Well, remember the first time we met? After you chased off after our resident lizard girl I broke into Oscorp and fixed Connors serum. Then I just added a drop of magic potion to one of the vials and mixed it up, besides, I figured I can change them back after they spend a bit of time repenting for the lives they took. The other option was to let them die, but since they didn't kill anyone innocent and in some fluke only killed a bunch of kidnappers I decided to be nice." – Morgan
Tapping Spider-man on the shoulder I return to Jean before waking up the helicopter camera man, I'd knocked him out and turned off his camera when the Lizard exploded in steam. Picking up the still weak Jean I approach the edge of the building and return to my full height. Turning back to Spider-man before I leave I get the final word in.
"Oh, and Spider-man make sure to visit me with Dr Connors, my address is on the card I stuck to your palm earlier. Bye." – Morgan
"How in the…." – Spider-man
Taking off before Spider-man can finish his sentence I make my way back to my house with Jean in my arms. Gently landing I carry Jean inside and sit her on the couch, grabbing some drinks I sit opposite Jean and turn on the tv.
On the tv footage of the fight at Oscorp is being played on repeat across multiple news channels, following the footage I'm able to see Spider-man escaping with a now dressed Dr Connors. After that the news pans to a different report and I lose interest.
Looking over at Jean who is quietly sipping her drink I notice she's still wearing the suit I made her, handing her a spare set of cloths I keep in my inventory I silently point out the bathroom for her. Though instead of moving to the bathroom Jean slides over next to me.
"Hey Morgan, why didn't you help with the Lizard? With your power you could have ended it instantly." – Jean
Sighing I ponder what to tell Jean, shifting back into my human form I twiddle a strand of my hair as I think.
"I didn't help for a number of reasons; the first reason is I didn't want to make you and Spider-man seem weak. The second reason was I figured this would be a good chance for you to make a debut without your professor hiding your efforts. And the final reason was you looked like you needed it." -Morgan
"Oh, thanks Morgan it means a lot. Also, this suit is sexy as hell, how long have you been thinking about this?" – Jean
Chuckling at Jeans comment I enjoy the comfortable atmosphere for a bit before replying.
"Would you believe me if I told you I came up with the design on the spot?" – Morgan
"Sure, I'll believe you. Can I stay at your house for the night Morgan? Its pretty late and it might be unsafe driving in the rain." – Jean
"Sure, you can stay, though its funny your scared of driving in the rain after fighting a giant lizard" – Morgan
Silently dropping the conversation after that I remotely control the tv to begin playing a movie. Sitting through the movie Jean at some point falls asleep, her head resting on my shoulder as she gently breathes.
Realising I won't be getting much work done tonight doesn't bother me at all, I probably could have used a proper break after rushing to complete my factory. Content to just sit here in silence for the rest of the night I'm interrupted by a quest notification.

Groaning slightly from the sheer quality of information poured into my head all at once I quickly sort it out and process the information. Shaking my head slightly I try to rid myself of the small headache that chooses to linger, the shear quantity of information just dumped into my head from the Modern Knowledge skill would of easily killed me if my stats where still the same as when I first arrived in this universe, not to mention if I was human.
Shaking off the headache a large maniacal grin splits my face as I review the information, maths, science, physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and more. The goal of the arks was to collect knowledge and preserve humanity so they were absolutely teaming with knowledge, I now had nearly all humanities scientific progress from the stone age to the modern age crammed into my mind.
My mind racing, I look at the other rewards, the mining drill is good because its considered futuristic tech and wasn't included in my knowledge. The smelter is as good as garbage to me the only use I can see for it is improving the industrial refiner from ark, finally the polymer is another huge deposit of data.
The sheer versatility of polymer based technology was amazing, not only was it able to act as a massive communication network it was also able to replicate certain elemental effects with pure technology. Not to mention polymer based computers when combined with solid state silicon computers could be unrivalled in the entire modern world.
Deciding to double down with knowledge I open the points shop only to stop when I see a new tab, opening the new tab I'm greeted by an infinite selection of powers from all games across reality. The shop has simple powers like a ghasts fireball all the way up to complex powers like the Blacklight virus and game adaptations of devil fruit powers.
Jawing dropping my dreams of power fly away as quick as they came when I see the price tag, the cheapest and most useless power still cost over 10,000pts. Deciding this is a problem for a future me I switch back to the knowledge menu.
After a few minutes of browsing the shop I decide on my purchases, buying the Crucible technology from Horizon Zero Dawn for 15,000pts I move to my next choice. Buying the recycler knowledge from the prey universe for 3,000pts, I then buy Efficient Rocket Design from Space engineers for 2,000pts before finishing my purchase spree with the Red Queen from Resident Evil for 5,000pts.
