Chapter 7: Success?
Ash walked over to the Inventing Machine and picked up the mic attached to it, feeling a liitle excited. This was the moment he'd been waiting for since he got his hands on the gadget. He took a deep breath and started speaking slowly, making sure to be clear.
"I want to create a super suit with a lot of abilities," he began. "First, it needs to survive every extreme environment possible. Whether it's freezing cold, burning hot, or under heavy pressure deep underwater, the suit has to hold up perfectly."
He paused, imagining the kind of power the suit would give him. "It also needs to give me super-strength and super-speed. And I want a feature that absorbs any attack, physical or not. Whether it's a punch, a blast, or something mental, the suit should take it in, and then I want the choice to either nullify the attack or send it right back at whoever tried to hit me."
Ash nodded to himself as he went on. "Add a force field for extra protection, just in case. And the suit has to heal me if I ever get injured and repair itself if it's damaged."
He didn't stop there. "I also need a telepathic shield. I don't want anyone reading my thoughts or messing with my mind, no matter who they are." He took a breath, feeling more confident with every word. "And I need teleportation. I should be able to move instantly from one place to another whenever I need to."
As the list continued, his excitement only grew. "Time manipulation, too. I need to control time around me, whether I'm speeding it up or slowing it down."
Finally, Ash thought about convenience. "And the suit has to be able to shrink down into something small, like a watch or a bracelet. I should be able to wear it all the time, and even in that form, it has to protect me from physical and mental attacks."
After finishing, Ash paused for a moment, remembering one more thing that he wanted to add. "I need an A.I. in the suit. Something that can help me manage all the functions and keep track of everything. It should have advanced features like scanning my surroundings, giving tactical advice, and maybe even controlling some parts of the suit if I'm too busy or injured."
Satisfied, Ash set the mic down and stood back, watching the Inventing Machine hum as it processed his requests. The machine whirred and buzzed for what felt like forever, but in reality, it was only a few minutes. Finally, a thick manual popped out from the machine, landing with a thud on the table.
Ash grabbed the book and flipped through the pages. His eyes lit up as he saw the detailed instructions, all written in a simple way that even someone without engineering skills could follow.
"Alright, this is perfect," Ash said to himself, grinning. He couldn't wait to get started. But then he realized something: he didn't have the materials to build the suit yet. That wasn't a problem though—he had prepared for this.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out another gadget, the Tool Box. This special gadget was designed to work with the Inventing Machine. While the Inventing Machine provided the plans, the Tool Box gave him all the materials he needed to actually build the gadgets.
Ash opened the Tool Box, peeking inside at the shimmering contents. With everything ready, he was eager to start putting the suit together. But as he looked around the apartment, reality hit him: the space was way too small for any serious building, and worse, it was a mess. There was barely room to walk, let alone enough room to create a high-tech super suit.
He frowned, looking at the piles of laundry, dust-covered surfaces, and dishes stacked in the sink. "There's no way I can work like this. I've got to clean this place up."
Ash groaned at the thought of cleaning, but he knew he had no choice. Luckily, he had just the gadget to help him. He reached into his pocket again and pulled out the Home-Ec Apron. It looked like an ordinary apron, but Ash knew it was far from that. The moment he put it on, he'd become a master of household chores, cleaning and organizing with lightning speed and perfect results.
He slipped the apron over his head and instantly felt a surge of energy. "Alright, let's do this."
Starting in the bedroom, Ash made quick work of sweeping the floors, tossing dirty sheets into the laundry, and organizing his things. Everything that was cluttered before was now neatly placed in its proper spot. Next, he moved to the living room, dusting the furniture, vacuuming the floor, and wiping down every surface. The kitchen was next—he scrubbed the counters, washed the dishes, and even cleaned out the fridge. By the time he finished with the bathroom, the entire apartment looked like it had been professionally cleaned.
Ash stepped back to admire his work. The place was spotless, and it finally looked like somewhere he could actually live and work in peace. "Now that's more like it," he muttered, feeling proud of himself.
But after all that cleaning, Ash felt sweaty and exhausted. He glanced at the bathroom he had just finished scrubbing and realized it was the perfect time for a shower. He might as well clean himself up too before getting to work on the suit.
"Yeah, a shower sounds good," Ash said to himself as he headed to the bathroom.
As the hot water ran over him, Ash felt a sense of relief. Everything was coming together. His apartment was clean, and he had all the tools he needed to make the suit of his dreams. All that was left now was to build it and take his first step into this new life as something more than just a regular guy.
The possibilities excited him, and as he finished his shower and dried off, he was already thinking about the next steps. Now that the place was clean, it was time to make his super suit a reality.
