Chapter 3: On the night before Christmas
Lakeside, Illinois December 24 1990
These past four days have been... interesting to say the least.
Not only did I need to sort out the thirty-seven years of memories I just gained, but I also needed to reconnect to the people I "knew". Having an divorced wife was weird, as in my former life I never married, but what really worried me was if I would be able to connect with my son, Charlie.
Guess spending father and son time together on Christmas eve will be a "trail by fire". I'm both anxious and excited to met him officially. With my own personal memories and the film memories I know him well, but just knowing someone doesn't mean you're close to them.
Regardless it should be an interesting night.
Another issue I needed to wrap my head around was that fact that it was also a marvel universe. What type of marvel universe I didn't know. While I know now that the existence of Captain America in World War II is historical fact, no other events have occurred so far to reveal what type of universe it is.
The main events of Captain Marvel won't occur for another five years. Tony Stark is only twenty years old and Nick Fury was still an agent of SHIELD. On the bright side there are no signs or words of mutants existing in this universe.
Regardless, I can't just keep my head down. Transmigration 101; transmigrators can't settle down when they first arrive. Plus I have a feeling that the destiny the entity spoke about will reveal itself tonight.
But for know I'll just enjoy myself. Just like in the first film I am currently attending my company's holiday party, but instead of the do-it yourself dolly we are celebrating the success of the Captain America action figure.
"And I think we should give a special thanks to the people responsible for our record breaking sale, our mid-west marketing and distribution team, Scott Calvin and Susan Perry"

"Are they adorable? Say a few words"
While I am proud of the work I "did" I was in a hurry to get home to pick up Charlie
"But we don't have time for that do we? In all seriousness here at B&R Toys, we're not just about making a profit in quality toys. We're also about families. But our families aren't here with us right now... which is probably why Johnson's secretary is sitting in his lap"
HAHAHAHA
"You guys have a great party. Have a great year. Drive safely. Thanks very much"

I made my exit in a hurry hoping to make it in time to pick up my son. Huh... this might be a poor start, but the night is still young.
