in Russian Ukranian war with a system

Chapter 12: AMBUSH BEGINS

Currently I am sitting in my command vehicle watching the footage from the drones and commanding the overall situation, but there is a change of plans since we are not seeing any enemy movement from the opposite side; not even a single person is seen even with the infrared and night vision goggles.

"Is there any problem with the system, soldier?."

"No, sir, there is no problem with the system."

"Well, it means we have to send the drones into the enemy camp to know the situation, so get ready for it, right commander?."

"No major, we will not be doing that since there is a chance that the enemy will get alerted by the noise of the drones, so instead of that, we have to send troops to check the situation."

"Okay, sir, I will get spies prepared for it."

"Well, you do the preparation this instant because I want to know what the enemy is thinking."

"Yes sir."

After the major left, I started to make some small changes to the plan and changed the locations of some small groups of soldiers and made them prepared for an ambush as well as ready for an attack.

"Colonel Stanislav Petrov I hereby command you to prepare for an attack and use tactics like position on high ground, use impassable terrain, and use forests as your tactics, pay a good amount of attention to your south area, also give the radio to a captain, and also make sure that he is one of our men."

"Sir, I will prepare the soldiers this instant and here talk with the captain, sir."

"Captain B reporting sir."

Oh, how did I forget that the rest of the people names are in code? Well, it does not matter now; I have to work with this for now.

"Captain, I hereby command you to gather a hundred men and attack enemy base from the north side. Is it clear?."

"No sir."

"Very well, now listen carefully. You have to decide your group in four parts: assault personnel, snipers, heavy bombarders, and logistics, and the work for these groups is like this: logistics, like the name suggests, is to give logistics and cover while heavy bombarders will use their heavy equipment to do maximum damage to tanks and stuff, and snipers will get rid of those on high platforms or those who can take retaliation action against us, and at last the assault team will get the rest of the people, and you will do a surgical strike. Have you heard everything, soldier?."

"Yes, sir, I have heard everything clearly."

"Very well, then make the plan work out."

After giving them these orders, I started to have a small cup of coffee since I do not want to have any energy deficiency in my body, and it also helps in reducing sleep; moreover, it also helps in reducing irritability and insomnia, so it is a perfect thing for me in this movement since I am very nervous. After all, I have a burden of these troops on my shoulders, and I do not want to lose a single soldier. While I was sipping my favorite instant coffee of Grand Brand, the Major suddenly barged in my commanding vehicle while feeling short of breath.

"What happened, Major? Why did you suddenly come running and barged here?."

"Co...command...command, THERE IS AN EMERGENCY!!!."

"Why what happened first? Have a glass of water and tell me."

I handed him a glass of warm water and waited for him to calm down.

"Sir, the enemy has attacked us, and we are losing ground, sir."

"Wait, how did it happen?."

"Just four minutes ago, sir, we already lost some key positions in the area. The attack was so sudden that our troops were not able to do a good counterattack."

"What happened to the spies that we had sent? Shouldn't they give us some key information?"

"Sir, we lost contact with them. I think we lost them already now. Please tell me what to do, sir?."

"Well first of all, do not panic and call for reinforcements and also boost the morale of our army and also order them to make a lot of traps around the base because I do not want to die and also order them to do fortifications too. After seeing a suitable time, we will retreat if the reinforcements do not arrive. Is it clear, major, but before that, do a three-line defense, okay, major?."

"Yes, commander, I will order the soldiers."

When he left, I again made the connection with my soldiers and gave them orders like do not lose land and do not follow orders of Major Dima, and after that, I again started to see the footage given by the drones.

(after five minutes)

"What happened major? Why are you again here? Is it good news or bad?."

"Sir, it is bad news we are losing land too quickly. I do not think we can take this on, so should we surrender, sir?."

"Why does not the colonel order it right, colonel?."

"Well, well, who we have here, Major Dima, or should I say Civillian Fedor, the twin brother of our martyr soldier Major Dima and also a spy of Ukraine who sent military information to Ukraine through your wife? Is she not a nice Ukrainian right traitor, Fedor?"

Suddenly this voice came from my radio, which was of Brigadier Nikolai, the supreme commander of the entire Kursk region.

"Commander, please arrest Fedor for us; we will be there in one day to take him away and run a case of giving sensitive information to the army; moreover, you can tell me anything you want to help you resolve the crisis."

"I am happy to hear your words, Brigadier, but I can handle it myself."

"Very well, then see you after your victory."

"Colonel, do the attack now."

"Yes, sir, copy that."

I already knew there was something wrong with him; that was why I already changed my strategies, which are Position on high ground: Defenders can position themselves above attackers and open fire when the attackers reach a certain point. This forces the attackers to retreat, continue under fire, or climb the mountain another way. Use impassable terrain: Steep cliffs, rivers, and houses can be used to protect flanks without having to dedicate troops to that task. Use forests: Troops can be hidden in forests, and ambushes can be set up to take out the enemy's rear flank. Trees can also block projectiles, reducing the accuracy of archers.

"Now what can I do to you, major Dima?."

"Do whatever you want to do with me."

"Very well, then soldiers come."

"Yes sir."

"Arrest major Dima on the grounds of Federal law No. 152 FZ of 27 July 2006, "On Personal Data" (the Data Protection Act or DPA); Federal law No. 149-FZ of 14 July 2006, "On Information, Information Technologies, and Protection of Information" (the Information Law); The Labor Code of the Russian Federation; and The Constitution of the Russian Federation."

"Yes sir."

"Do whatever you want, but you do not have enough time since the Ukrainian soldiers will come here in just ten minutes. Are not you hearing the cries of pain and gun sounds in the area?"

"I am very ashamed to tell you that it will only remain a dream."

"Sir, here is a communication from Colonel."

"Yes, colonel, what is the situation?."

I deliberately increased the volume of the speaker so that everyone can hear us, which will also boost the morale of the army.

"Sir, the enemies have surrendered and are now prisoners of war, and that is why we cannot do anything to them. What are your orders, sir?"

"How many did we lose?."

"Sir, we lost twenty soldiers in the assault."

"And wounded."

"Sir, only two are wounded, and that too are just small wounds, nothing serious."

"But still take care of them, and now tell me, How many enemy soldiers are their colonels?."

"Killed or captured commander?."

"Killed?."

"Sir, we have killed five hundred men thanks to your superb strategy."

"And captured?."

"Sir, it is two hundred and fifty soldiers, and some of them are wounded."

"First check them for any secret weapon, then give emergency treatment to the wounded, and then bring them here, is it clear?."

"Yes sir."

I just ended the call that captain B contacted me to report the mission.

"What is it, captain?."

"Sir, the mission was successful; we have completely killed all the soldiers here and also captured some tanks. Now we are coming back."

"Nice work, captain."

"Commander, it is nothing; we are happy to serve you."

"Very well, come back; we will talk here."

"Okay sir."

Now I am feeling quite relieved to hear that the losses are minimal and there is no heavy loss, and to top it off, we officially started the war on this front, which means Ukraine now will have to focus on this side too, which will greatly relieve pressure from other fronts, and the cherry on top is that I will be getting a lot of media attention due to this.

"How?."

"What how, Fedor?."

"How did you find me?."
