In The Abyss As A Toon Character

Chapter 19: Chapter 16 Goals

(I passed my exams in IRL; I'll try to make another chapter this weekend. Probably, I hope, because I'm running out of time for my Halloween event in a game I play.)

I dismissed the optimistic ponies, apologizing, "I'm sorry, but that place isn't ideal either. We'll probably settle outside. After all, we already have the skills to survive there.

Their hopeful expressions transformed into disappointed ones, collectively they sighed in the dim room, but they needed to know that sometimes, the unknown brought more troubles.

Rainbow Dash: "Then let's go."

We made our way outside, carried effortlessly by Rainbow Dash. Her concern flared as she spoke. "Are you sure about this? Coat yourself in magic if you are. I don't want you to hurt your leg."

God, I almost forgot about it. Physics exist.

With my body reinforced by telekinesis, Rainbow Dash shot up into the sky at an astonishing speed that blurred the surroundings. It felt like mere seconds before we were almost touching the clouds.

Rainbow Dash: "Where To?"

Daniel: "South"

Rainbow Dash warned before accelerating. "Okay, grab on because I'll go full speed."

"Wait, wasn't that before full sp-" Before our brains could even register it, the scenery changed instantly, almost as if we teleported.

She checked our condition before asking, "Are you okay here?"

"Yes, this is a good place"

Rainbow Dash questioned with concern still evident on her face. "Look, it's not my business, but are you sure you will be okay?"

I reassured her. "Yes, don't worry,"

She seemed hesitant to leave us. I wonder why.

With a simple goodbye, Rainbow Dash vanished in a flash, leaving a vibrant rainbow trail in her path.

Dante, in awe, extended his foreleg toward the sky. His eyes wandered, captivated by Rainbow Dash's display, particularly her wings.

If he had that ability, perhaps he would be in a different situation. He could just fly away.

The freedom to do anything was within his reach, so he acquired a new goal. Get wings.

This incident showed him something, he is weak because he can grow fast, but it doesn't mean the others can't.

Daniel broke the reverie. "Before continuing, how much time are we gonna stay here?"

I respond, "24 hours."

Daniel: "Then let's search for a place to pass the time."

"How about that cave that is conventionally there?" I proposed, pointing north

The cave's entrance welcomed us into its cold and dark embrace. We settled in, the rough ground beneath us providing a surprisingly comfortable seat.

The atmosphere remained quiet. I started sewing to kill time, and Daniel meditated, each of us lost in our tasks.

...

The rhythmic sound of me sewing was the only discernible thing until I interrupted the silence, voicing a question that had bothered me for a while

"Do you think it was the right option? Perhaps we could have escaped together by working as a team."

Daniel, without any hesitation, responded, "Yes. It was the right option. I don't blame you for what you did. There wasn't an alternative. I thank you because probably we would be already dead."

Those words took a toll that was eating Dante alive.

A simple "Thanks" was all I could muster in return.

...

The impotence that once overcame him gave life to a new goal.

I am not taking this place seriously enough... there is something that I evaded intentionally

System!

"Class Skill Tree"

I guess I'll start from this place.

my hooves navigate through the skill tree until I find it.

-------------------------

Pony Supremacy:

Ponies may not be the strongest, but they have the potential. With some help, they may become the strongest race in equestria.

-------------------------

Let's hope I don't want to punch my past me for doing this.

*Click*

A window popped up.

System: "The limit breaker from the ponies has been broken."

The cryptic entry left me confused. The limit breaker from the ponies had been broken? What did that even mean?

Suddenly, his whole body and mind were engulfed in an enormous backlash.

System: "The ability "Embodiment Of Generosity" has been generated."

Everything started to burn and feel hot, yet it was completely different from when he transformed.

System: "All pony's skill trees have been expanded."

My body stopped responding for a few seconds, entering a trance where I didn't move or breathe.

Daniel, worried because I almost fainted, asked, "Are you okay?"

A shaky response escaped my lips: "Yes, no, maybe, perhaps. I don't know."

Daniel: "What did you do?"

"I upgraded myself just secondary effects." Everything felt dizzy similar to being drunk at 4:00 AM.

The system, however, had one more revelation in store.

----------------

The price of all your abilities has been updated. 1000G has been spent.

----------------

Dante, bewildered, exclaimed, "WHAT! No one told me that this would spend my money."

Ha...

Overwhelmed and fatigued, I told him, "I'll just rest what's left of the day. I'm tired. Wake me up when at least 12 hours have passed."

...

...

...

I start to feel how a hand is shaking my body to wake me up.

With my eyes barely open, I questioned. "Huh, Already?"

Daniel: "Yes, at any moment, we will go back."

"Do you have a plan to escape from that "Monster"? Because I don't know how time works when we are here, like if it stopped or slowed."

Daniel proposed an absurd plan: "I can carry you and use everything I have in my legs, and You will propel us with a telekinetic catapult."

"That sounds stupid... actually, fair enough."

We patiently waited as the world began to deconstruct, transforming into the familiar, moist green jungle. Daniel's legs were already sprinting at full speed. But there wasn't anyone here. The tree and dirt bore the marks of a fight.

I commented, "Did we spawn at a different location?"

Our observations were interrupted by a voice that we overlooked belonging to a golden knight. The aura he emanated conveyed divine power from the Christian religion. "Hello." said the golden knight

But before he can mutter a word beside him, another player emerges. His speech is warped and distorted.

"¿ʎƎɥ┴ Ǝɹ∀ OɥM." the masked player inquired.

The knight explained, "Some players I found randomly in this place."

Despite the mask hiding his face, I felt an unsettling fixation upon me.

Ignoring the feeling of being stalked, I ask, "Uh... if it isn't a problem, may we know where the closest city is?"

Daniel was ready to take me and run at any moment if something went wrong.

The masked player, in a bizarre language, inquired, "¿∩oλ ┴ǝԀ ᴉ NɐƆ"

The knight translated, "He wants to know if he can pet you."

I was perplexed "._." who the heck asks that? Oh right...

The golden knight explained, "Yeah, it quite contrasts with his looks, but he loves fluffy and cute things."

Reluctantly, I let him pat me on the head. His rough hand lingered for a few seconds before withdrawing. The masked player then pointed north, saying, "ʇHǝɹǝ."

He says, "You should go straight north. It will take you one month to find the nearest city."

His attention switched to the knight asking, "¿ƎuO Ǝʌ∀ɥ Ǝʍ NɐƆ."

The knight replied to his absurd request, "You have already wasted a lot of money on your other pets... do you remember the nekomamushis?"

"ʇ∩q"

"No, we already talked about this."

While they continued their bizarre conversation, we decided to mind our own business. but not before saying "thanks"

The journey continued in silence, with a pessimistic tension hanging between us. The absence of Icaxis and Winfred left a void, making the journey feel lonely.

After a few minutes of somber walking, a peculiar sight caught our attention.

A giant green plant from the earth who ate insects. The only difference is the size it came in.

"Hey, look, a giant Venus flytrap," I exclaimed.

My horn sparkled with magical energy, shooting a beam at its head.

Concerned, Daniel asked, "Shouldn't we conserve energy? We don't want to attract unnecessary attention from players or monsters."

I shrugged off his worry. "Nope, if it weren't for my ticket, we would be in a black pitch space right now talking with a mad wacky maniac."

Daniel, unconvinced, lunged forward, swiftly cutting pieces from the plant. Continuing with, "Then do you expect us to kill all the monsters we find in our path?"

"Yes, we need XP to grow stronger." As the words left my lips, the floor beneath the plant trembled, and a tentacle vine sprouted, trying to impale me.

But it only met an invisible barrier. The telekinetic shield that enveloped me blocked the attack. The plant, realizing it was futile, switched tactics and spat a purple poison.

Yet, the outcome remained the same, the attack halted mid-way, all of the plant's arsenal was rendered ineffective against the telekinetic shield.

I couldn't help but taunt, "Oh darling, if you believe that such a slow attack will hit me, you should replant your existence. NOW!"

Daniel looked at me in disbelief. His face showed skepticism about what I just said.

I asked him, disoriented, "What's the matter, darling?"

Okey, let's recapitulate. I didn't do anything offensive now about saying I just said Dar-

And then it hit me the unintended use of the word "darling."

...

"fuck!" "I-... Ignore that, for Celestia's sake."

A frustrated exclamation followed. "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!"

...

AUTHORS NOTE: DON'T LEAVE JUST FOR THAT INTERACTION. I'LL EXPLAIN (I SWEAR IT'S NECESSARY.)

IMPORTANT STUFF... just half of it

Look, it might seem unnecessary to give him more of the personality of the transformation, BUT IT'S NEEDED.

I need him to grow cocky and arrogant with certain personalities. If not, the plot would not make sense, and he would be broken ASF.

Don't worry. It won't grow more than 50% for now... in the future, I need him to show more ulterior motives. And do some "bad stuff." like, I don't know, setting a communist regime.

About it, it will only change his way of behaving and talking. I'm not going to pull something "FUNNY" with it.

Also

(You know what? I just watched a few power scaling videos, and some things don't make sense. I was trying not to make anyone angry for certain characters losing in such ways, but A LOT OF STUFF DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, AND IT'S COMPLETELY INCONSISTENT.

Like sometimes, they pull out godlike reaction time dodging light-speed projectiles but can't react to a normal punch. WHAT!? IF u have the speed to dodge something that is at light speed, how is it possible for a normal punch to land on you???)

AND

I know I'm quite slow but the last week I had exams also I try to make the best chapter possible (even though I can't)
