"I'm... I'm fine..." I replied, trying to smile even though the pain was still there. I didn't want to make Natsuki worry. Calm down, Lilyana! You have to be more careful this time...

"Really? You looked unwell just now," Natsuki said, her gaze filled with concern piercing directly into my eyes.

I repeated that sentence in my head, as if saying it over and over could make it true.

"I'm fine, Natsuki," I said, even though my voice sounded flat even to my own ears.

I tried to lower my head, hiding my face filled with frustration. I knew that this failure shouldn't make me feel crushed, but the reality was different. My head felt like it was splitting in two, the pain was so sharp that I could hardly think clearly.

"Is that so?" Natsuki replied, her tone also filled with dissatisfaction. Natsuki held her chest, her face showing the same exhaustion I felt. "I'm frustrated too; I can't control this thing at all!"

I could only stare blankly at Natsuki, feeling like there was nothing left of me except despair. I had tried so hard, over and over again, but every attempt ended the same... in failure.
