Infinite Change.

Chapter 3: Act 01 - Gwen Stacy.

[ Currently ]

It was on a Sunday after a wild night with his aunt that Peter was able to reflect on everything, reflect on his new memories and how everything fit together in two alternative versions of him and how they now seemed to be himself, because no matter how much he tried to explain them as different entities, it was still as if they were him, as if he had done such actions, walked such paths, lived such different lives from birth to some specific point.

And being in the presence of the dearest woman in the world to him, he was able to understand that they weren't really in their universe, in fact it was as if his story had ended there with the slap, causing the anomaly in Universe M-199,999.

From which he was thrown through time and space until he landed here, with divine interference bringing his Aunt May back from the universe he used the snap on, the two of them against the world again, but... in another world.

Thus begins Peter Benjamin Parker's journey in the M-001 Universe... High school freshman, trainee avenger, fusion of the souls of three Spider-men and holder of Stan Lee's legacy. But this time, with all the knowledge of future catastrophic events, along with the memories of two alternative versions of himself, which make him more unpredictable to everyone and everything, be they allies or enemies.

Monday had been a tumultuous start for the web-head. It was the beginning of his first year in high school, and if he were to compare his mind still assimilating the lives merged into one body that was gradually adapting to this more mature appearance, it would be the fourth time he had entered high school, and although the first three times he had had complications, this time his mind was already working out methods of becoming unique and not submissive to anyone.

His aunt, who had shown him his new gear, told him that even though he was a hero, he had to go to school, so he had to start his rounds early and be pampered by the best person he knew in the world.

After leaving his apartment, Peter aimed to get back into his original costume given to him by Mr. Stark. He knew he could kick ass with the Iron Spider function, but just imagine how much trouble it would be if Tony Stark actually saw a spiderman jumping under buildings while wearing a suit with the same unique technology as his company.

With an intercom imbedded in his suit, the web-head was able to find out all the information provided by the police department. Of course, it was illegal to hack into the police department's system, but this had led to a close friendship and alliance between Peter and a female agent on the inside, and there was nothing better than maintaining this relationship and even trying to go deeper now that he had so much knowledge between worlds with the police department's Asian sweetheart.

Falling from a height of two hundred meters, Peter aimed to smile inside the suit, such a feeling of freedom was always the best.

And with a simple wave of his arm, a web spread out from there, connecting to one of the region's countless grand buildings.

His maneuvers through the buildings drew attention from the civilian public below him, there were those who hated him and those who loved him.

But Peter didn't care, he would save anyone from the evil that plagued his beloved Queens.

- Peter, I know things have been complicated lately, I'm sorry about that... - It was his dear uncle's voice that Peter heard on the last call he received, which the artificial intelligence in his suit always played back in the mornings to motivate him. - I understand how you feel, since you were a little boy, you've been through so many unresolved things..., well, here's an old man's advice, these things direct our lives, they make us who we are, and if anyone is destined for greatness... it's you, son.

- You owe the people your gifts, the people will give you the world, you just have to figure out how to use them.

- And know that wherever they take you, we'll always be here.

- You're my hero, Peter... and I love you.

The voice message ended and Peter couldn't help but think that if he returned a little further into the past, he could save his uncle, but with a sigh he abandoned such thoughts, because they wouldn't change what had happened, that wasn't how it worked, this was another universe, now he had the minds of two different versions in his cerebral cortex and he was lucky that a divine entity had put his real aunt here with him, because if it was just about falling into another land, they wouldn't be the same people, but for a small and great act, he had his real May with him.

[ ... ]

It was 7 a.m. when Peter finished his morning routine. His aunt had left to work at a coffee franchise that had recently opened and Peter had aimed to eat a donut while waiting for someone to arrive at his meeting point... or rather, the daughter of the police captain, Gwen Stacy, who had reproached him the day before for ignoring her calls.

An emerald-green bicycle had parked in front of him with an extremely beautiful blonde woman on it. Her clear eyes, her smile, her cute and cheerful expression... There were few women as beautiful as her that Peter had ever seen and this really touched him, because since he had arrived on this earth, he had felt a great difference from his previous self and this was only strengthened as the hours passed and he had the impulses and mentality of three versions in one.

- Peter! - This girl shouted euphorically as she got off her bike and practically jumped into her friend's arms. - Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for saving my father.

- Nothing but my duty. - Peter said smiling when she looked down at him and snorted at his manner. - Have you had breakfast?

- Yes, I've had mine... - She explained with his consent. - And you won't believe it, my father knows who you are and he said he won't expose anything, isn't that amazing? - She said excitedly at her father's acceptance and how she felt that she could have lost him, but that her hero had saved him.

- Her father is a strong man, a bit stubborn and extremely brave for taking such a risk. - Peter reassured her with a playful act of his own, kissing her on the back of the hand, then seeing her bike just behind. - So, off you go?

- Off you go! - She said euphorically, all excited about the idea of going to school together on a bike and skateboard, something that the web-head didn't refuse at all, he wanted to get to know this Gwen better, especially as he had memories of different versions of her, one where she's a model and the other where she's his girlfriend, but here, she's just a friend at the moment, or rather, his best friend... for now.

In his locker, not far from Gwen's, Peter had put away some of his materials, keeping only his binder with him.

- Speak up, Parker. - It was a blond man taller than Peter, with an athletic build and short hair who hugged him from behind as if they were great friends. - Are you coming to class?

Smiling at Flash Thompson and noticing how there were different versions of this boy that Peter had already met, even the way the web-head acted at school, he thought to himself that a change of attitude could be better for his student life, as he was well aware of the future and would like to make the most of his life.

- Nice shirt. - He said, pointing to the wine-red shirt with a black spider printed on it.

- Yeah, this guy's crazy... girls go crazy. - He smiled, with Peter following him and Gwen clinging to his right arm, escorting the two boys to their first year class.

[ ... ]

Entering her apartment on the heels of the blonde who was attracting a lot of attention to herself, she soon noticed that the apartment was nothing grand, but it was very cozy, as if it were looked after by a housewife and not a high school teenager.

Staring at a picture frame on the wall, she noticed a glass frame containing a kind of chrome object with a symbol carved into it, with the name "Spider-Man" below it.

- Do you like it? - Peter asked jokingly when she turned around embarrassed that she was analyzing the whole apartment, as if looking for traps.

- Don't bother... It's my plaque for 100,000 subscribers to a YouTube channel I created. - Peter explained, under her doubt, which showed on his features. - I've started posting random amateur videos about Spider-Man and his day-to-day life, whether it's training my skills or saving someone and helping out during the course of the day.

- It's kind of cool to know what people think, there's the majority of the teenage audience who support me and the famous haters who are always there to talk any nonsense. I ended up receiving this plaque when a hundred thousand people started following my channel on this platform. - He explained, with her smiling at the euphoric way Peter liked to explain. - Anyway, you can sit down... I just have to post a new video for this day, even though it was recorded this morning... - He explained the ending to himself, as he went on to use his computer to post a video.

As Peter went about his house-cleaning duties, he noticed how focused Gwen Stacy was with him. They ranged from videos of his fights and confrontations recorded by amateur civilians either on the street or in places where he had ventured in the Spider-Man suit, to a large section of journalistic videos of the recent villain, which showed a helicopter recording the moment his father was impaled by the lizard's claws and how Spider-Man defeated the villain and took his father speeding from building to building, paying little attention to the risk of being without his web shooters at that moment.

- Well... - Peter said after finishing the dishes, turning to her on the sofa in the living room. - What do you want to do? - He asked, sitting down only to open his eyes wide when the girl sat on his lap, put her arms around his shoulders and pressed her lips to his.

Several minutes passed, with both reciprocating each other's kisses. Despite their lack of experience, they continued, eager to find the best ways to express themselves.

- Wow. - Gwen murmured after pausing for breath.

- I'll say... what was that? - Peter asked.

- A thank you. - Gwen replied, smiling. - And if you want, there will be much more, spider. - Her smile widened as Peter took the initiative for the next kiss.

With that, I conclude the third chapter of Infinite Change.

I hope you're enjoying it, this time introducing some characters that I will love to involve in the story.

Gwen is more of a close friend here rather than a girlfriend, as seen in the movies starring Andrew Garfield.

And Flash Thompson, who is a bully, but will respect Peter for standing up to him, leading to a change in Flash and the beginning of a friendship that will only grow from here.

Because let's face it, back in the '80s and such, it was fine with that cliché of a bully beating up a nerd, everyone laughs, then the guy trains and overcomes him.

But that's not how it is here. I represent the time I grew up, and in my school, when a bully hit someone, they got beaten by me and my friends, and the so-called bully ended up becoming our friend. Crazy stuff.

Anyway, below you'll find photos of the characters introduced and what Peter and Gwen use to go to school.

Who knows, if you guys want, Flash might start going to school with them too.
