"I've almost mastered my spider powers. It's time to find Gwen." Mike felt a sense of urgency. If New York City was truly on the verge of falling, he feared that before the city surrendered completely, the congressmen and generals outside would have already abandoned it.

As Mike was about to leave, his eyes caught sight of the ruins of a collapsed residential building nearby. On the sole surviving piece of iron railing at the entrance hung a string of letters forming an address, still faintly visible.

It was just a fleeting glance, but inexplicably, the address struck him as familiar.

'Where have I seen this recently?'

Mike was startled. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. The address written on it matched perfectly with the one in front of him.

A silver-haired figure flashed in his mind.

"Pietro!" Mike rushed to the ruins and shouted inside.

No one responded.

This was hardly surprising. The entire house had collapsed, and the area bore the charred marks of a bombing. Pietro and his family had most likely evacuated before the attack.

If anyone was still inside, their chances of survival were slim.

Mike paused, placing his hand on a stone amid the rubble. He closed his eyes, using his extraordinary spider sense to search for signs of life.

Beneath the ruins, amidst broken furniture and shattered walls, there was only darkness.

Silence surrounded a single survivor—a young girl lying motionless in a crevice. She couldn't sense any light or sound from the outside world and could only hear her faint breathing and heartbeat.

The air was thin.

The girl felt herself slipping closer to death. Her only solace was that her twin brother hadn't been home when the explosion hit.

Her consciousness began to blur.

Crack!

Did she hear something?

The girl opened her eyes weakly. A faint sound reached her ears—objects being moved outside.

"I'm here..." She whispered, her voice barely audible.

The sound of shifting debris grew louder, as if the person outside knew exactly where she was.

And then—

A bright light pierced the darkness. The girl opened her eyes wider and saw a gentle-looking boy's face.

Mike had forced his way through the rubble, finding a red-haired girl buried deep within.

The girl was about thirteen, dressed in a winter coat now covered in dust.

Mike carefully picked her up, "What's your name?" He asked.

"Wanda." The red-haired girl said weakly.

"You must be Pietro's sister." Mike realized.

"Sister?" Wanda looked up at Mike in surprise, lying in his arms like a wounded rabbit. She nodded timidly and whispered, "Who are you?"

"Mike Prince. I met Pete last night. Did he mention me?"

"Yes." Wanda murmured. She hadn't expected the boy her brother mentioned to save her life.

"Pietro isn't home, is he?" Mike asked.

"No." Wanda shook her head feebly, then suddenly looked alarmed, "My parents..."

"I'm so sorry."

Mike hesitated but decided not to lie. He looked her in the eyes and said gently, "I found them earlier. They didn't make it."

Wanda's body shook violently. Though she had feared the worst, hearing it confirmed broke her spirit. She fainted in Mike's arms.

Mike held Wanda tightly. He understood that a girl of her age, suddenly losing both parents, would be overwhelmed with grief.

Across New York, countless families were being torn apart.

Mike sighed, preparing to take Wanda to safety. But then—

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Six alien robots landed around the ruins, surrounding Mike and Wanda. Above them, several small alien spacecraft hovered, locking onto him.

"Are you here for me?" Mike's eyes narrowed. He had defeated alien robots earlier, but now reinforcements had arrived.

Alone, he could fight. But with Wanda unconscious in his arms, the situation was far more complicated.

"The only option is to break through." Mike thought.

But something strange happened.

The alien robots froze, their movements halted by an unseen force.

Snap!

One by one, the robots' heads twisted 360 degrees, sparks flying from their joints. Above, the spacecraft disintegrated, raining debris onto the ground.

Mike's spider sense flared. He turned to see a green-haired girl with smoky makeup walking toward him, stepping over the destroyed machinery.

"Hey, little brother." She called out cheerfully, her hands glowing with green energy.

Mike stared at the girl in shock. It was Luna, the gang leader he had met the night before.

Now, a green glow surrounded her hands, and an intense aura radiated from her small frame.

"You're here... why?" Mike asked cautiously.

Luna smirked, "You're still alive. Impressive."

She glanced at Wanda in Mike's arms. A flicker of emotion crossed her face before she added, "Pietro's been taken."

"Taken? By who?"

"Not sure. Someone grabbed him in a black van. He's no longer in New York."

Mike nodded, "You should evacuate. This city won't last much longer."

Luna tilted her head, "You coming with us? I can guarantee your safety."

"No." Mike said firmly, "I have a friend to find. But... can you take Wanda somewhere safe?"

Luna stepped closer, her light-green eyes locking onto Mike's, "Kneel down." She ordered.

Mike hesitated, "Uh... okay."

As he leaned forward, Luna suddenly pressed her lips to his, surprising him.

"Hmmm~" A soft moan escaped Luna's small mouth as she kissed Mike passionately, exchanging their fluids in a very lewd way.

She pulled back with a smirk and a bridge of saliva was formed between their lips, "Consider that... a reward. Use my abilities well from now on." Luna reached out to take the unconscious Wanda, then turned around and walked out of the ruins.

Mike watched the other person go away.

Why did the other party know about his ability? Or, when was it exposed? The most likely time was when he separated from Gwen just now.

Leaving him stunned, Luna carried Wanda and walked away.
