Into The Rain With You

Chapter 24: Chapter 7: Between The Shadows

The hardest part about facing yourself, I think, is not the realization that you're broken—it's the fear that you'll never be able to put yourself back together again.

I had spent so much time convincing myself that I was fine, that I was normal,

that I was like everyone else. I played the part of the good student, the loyal friend, the guy who always had a joke or a smile ready. But behind all of that,

there was something darker—a pit that I couldn't seem to climb out of.

I had become so used to hiding that I had forgotten what it felt like to be real.

And the hardest part? Admitting that I didn't know how to fix it.
