Chapter : Q & A (Spoiler-ish?)
With the number of questions I've received over some topics I figured I should post some of them here and let you all hear my thoughts and answers on them. Thank you all for your support and I look forward to your additional questions and thoughts. And yes, I included your typos, feel my pain!
Questioner: I_cant_choose_name
Question: Does he not have an inventory?
Answer: Yes, but I'm not exactly sure how I want to handle it so I've been purposefully vague. I don't know if I want it to act like a bag of holding in D&D, have it as an aspect of the system, or if it doesn't exist at all. And if I do the D&D option I feel I'd start incorporating other D&D aspects and I don't want to stray too far from Skyrim. Fun side note, I made the crafting of a bag of holding reguire a dragon's ball sack.
Questioner: Hit_Gamer22
Question: Doesn't one of the mods give him 2 perk points per lever or does he have to disable the dragon soul conversion?
Answer: Yes that is something you can do, but I feel too many perk points at one point will dilute the progress MC makes and the effort he puts forth. For example, the points are valuable BECAUSE they are so rare, and even if there are more ways to get and spend them (ie 50,000 gold, dragon souls, etc.) they're still valuable in modifying and expanding how MC can handle new developments.
Questioner: Juto
Question: How does the MC time and the overall Skyrim plotline correlate? Does certain events happen before he is ready if he spends his time doing something else first as I know most skyrim players have preference on what to do first and what to do later but that's the game. So the mc may have to rush if everything is simultaneously running.
Answer: That's a good question. For simplicity's sake, I'm using newton's laws to explain this at least for now, IE, an object at rest tends to stay at rest while an object at motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. The MC is the outside force in this scenario and quests and their progress are paused until he "Triggers" them. For example, nothing in the civil war changes until the player chooses a side and starts progressing the war. The difference in our story is that the MC is setting up things that shouldn't happen with his fore knowledge. Which will start their own timers for triggers about those quests and the changes he has caused. But so long as he's yet to "trigger" the quest it will operate as if he isn't there. The colleges hold classes, the war is at a standstill, and the dragons are off randomly attacking the world.
Questioner: Infinite_Shadow_57
Question: Hope he does learn each branch of Magic to at least expert lvl
Answer: While not a question, I plan to eventually max out every skill and max out all perks, but just like if you were to do so in game it will take a LONG time. So he will focus on certain skills during certain arcs and will flesh out his abilities as necessary. To take another D&D reference, I love multi-classing, it makes crazy characters and that's what I love. He will explore all of the different trees and what their top tier perks grant. Dwemer auto cannons, undead armies, and other fantastical abilities await.
Questioner: Renton_Rouwler
Question: If I remember correctly…. you can virtually unlock all the game perks if you "legendary" all your skill to a certain extent. So technically there's no level cap for unlocking your skill perks and after literally mastering all skill tree(and gaining all the perks) you literally become one of the most strongest being in the game :)
Answer: True, and I'm unsure as to how I will handle that. It feels weird to "lose" your skill proficiencies in exchange for a legendary grading. So I plan to either use it as an emergency class reset or give MC a boon for going for a legendary grade. But it would also be hard to try for legendary on skills that are hard to grind like Alchemy or Enchanting.
Questioner: Literally Everyone
Question: Why da orc boi?
Answer: Because, I actually love incorporating RNG into my writing and when something completely random or unexpected happens, it's because I left it up to "fate" and I put the choice of the race completely up to fate and then built the start of the story around that. And as for the complications of being an orc in Skyrim, I look forward to him having to overcome the challenges of becoming High King. I am personally debating if he will refound Orsinium or keep the land as Skyrim. Luckily there is plenty of time for me to decide such an important thing. And there are a number of things I plan to do to address the issue of his aging… Vampires…
Questioner: Literally No One
Question: What about his soul?
Answer: Yes, what indeed? I wonder what selling your soul to half a dozen different entities while result in… Hmmm…
Questioner: Some People
Question: Is this a Harem? And why do you tease us?! Where da boning?!
Answer: Absolutely, but I want it to be tasteful. Like the novel, Code Zulu Alpha: Nerd in the Apocalypse, which I absolutely love and highly recommend. And because I'm drunk on power and love cliffhangers! Mwahaha! *Cough, cough, cough…* While that is true, I'm wanting it to actually build up a relationship with the girls and I want him to struggle with his feelings and what to do with his hot-blooded orcness.
Questioner: Some Nosey Nellies
Question: Is it hardcore/survival? What if MC dies? Does he actually have a past?
Answer: Who knows? Stay and find out. Yes, duh. Where do you think the flashbacks come from?
Questioner: Beautiful Bastards
Question: How fixed is the world and its limitations?
Answer: I use the information in the system and in the game to track progress and estimate certain probabilities, but they are not the be all end all. And the MC's ingenuity and problem-solving will be just as important and the hard guidelines of the system.

Question: do you have a patreon?
