Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Draxus clashed with Ulysses at the middle of the arena. Duke Elliot and the royal guard dashed forward at a speed that's somewhat comparable to their hero. They achieved this speed from their long time training and battles alongside Ulysses. As they surround Draxus from three sides, the leader of the scout group and the royal magician moved away from each other, completely removing the possibilities of taking splash damage. Arrows were immediately shot from the scout leader and a barrier formed from the royal magician to each member of their group to lessen the damage from Draxus. Duke Elliot closed his position to Draxus and brought out a black sword. The royal guard dashed forward with a large shield and a broadsword from the other direction. While pushing each other, Draxus immediately slanted the glowing sword downwards to the right. "Copy! [Constellation Trulla Cementarii]!" With a loud shout, Draxus perfectly copied the abilities of a certain character and disappeared from his position, leaving a huge magic circle on the ground with the central point being his former spot. Multiple purple slashes came out from inside the magic circle which Ulysses defended nicely, the arrows that tried to pierce him passed through nothing but air. He was able to perceive the speed of Draxus who used a new skill that he had never seen from the last battle. Duke Elliot received a few cuts after dodging within hairsbreadth. The royal guard was barely able to fend of the attacks using the shield that was able to cover his entire body. Draxus returned to the former position and unleashed a large slash directed to Ulysses. Even though it was blocked, the amount of power that was brought out from the final strike was too much to be blocked and was overcame. Ulysses tried to dash back and received a long but shallow cut straight at his chest. The barriers that were given to them were the saving grace from most of the damage. Duke Elliot who saw Draxus damage Ulysses took the opportunity to use magic from behind him. With the royal guard dashing to his position, Draxus summoned a small stiletto which was thrown towards the front of Duke Elliot before he even knew it. With a short surprise, his short chant was interrupted and noticed the gaze of Draxus staring right at him. The royal guard was about to strike him with the shield while the royal magician prepared a powerful attack. The scout leader repositioned herself away from any action and prepared to fire enchanted arrows. But Draxus instantly appeared from the stiletto's position and tried to slash Duke Elliot. With fast reaction time, he tried to block the attack which was successful. Ulysses who started to bleed from the slash bit by bit dashed towards the position where Draxus and Duke Elliot were clashing swords. Duke Elliot was forced in defensive swordplay as Draxus continuously attacked without stopping. The royal guard was closer but Ulysses who was significantly faster, arrived towards the position of Draxus. Draxus dodged to the side and tried to counterattack but noticed three arrows were fired off as if predicting his dodges. He received two arrows to his left arm while barely dodging the third one. He turned away from all the attackers and repositioned himself to fight where he can see all of them. Draxus who noticed the royal magician had finished her chant, felt something off on the ground. Draxus dashed away from his former position before a geyser could erupt from the ground. He placed the purple glowing sword back to the orbit and took out a different colored one while removing the arrows. This time it was a white sword that glowed brightly. "Copy! [Constellation Acer Palmatum]!" Ulysses, Elliot, and the rest of their party continued attacking Draxus.

Among the audience, Remuel was recording the match that was going pretty hard for either sides. He continued to answer the questions of the royal family that are asking him how the fight is going. "The effect of judgement allows him to become omniscient, he will master every single ability that he knows of in an instant and have it stocked within his brain. Judging by his usage of it so far, it seems that it's limited for a certain set of styles." Remuel knows very well that Draxus has pretty much taken all those abilities from a certain game called [Genshin Impact] but seeing as the royalty won't understand if he mentions the word [Game], he decided to omit it. "I've never seen him use those abilities before, not even in Mt. Valtav!" Prince Oswald was shocked beyond belief to the new abilities that Draxus displayed in battle. Unable to hide his curiosity, he asked Remuel for the explanations. "That's because when the first mock battle occurred, he hasn't made that kind of magic yet. But now that he has made it, we get to see his [True Versatility]." The nobles who saw Draxus land a slash towards Ulysses were surprised as to how a single person could manage to damage their hero, even with the powerful barrier of the royal magician. "The barrier got sliced off that easy huh? As expected of him." Olivia, upon hearing Remuel's words and seeing Draxus damage Ulysses and Duke Elliot, was staring at him. She was speechless and couldn't take off her eyes from him. Princess Alexia, her older sister and her mother, the queen who saw the eyes of a maiden in love chuckled a bit. The king who finally witnessed the power of a person that managed to harm the hero had his eyes wide open. He openly asked questions to Remuel which were answered almost immediately.

Back to the arena, Draxus was defending from Ulysses, and his party that are unleashing an endless amount of attacks. With the wind guiding him with his actions, he was able to parry and deflect any form of attack that came from the three. Arrows came out from time to time because of the possibility of friendly fire. "[Chihayaburu]" Draxus unleashed heavy winds to force the three backwards after the increased amount of close calls. With that opportunity, more arrows flew towards Draxus's position and elemental spikes converge towards him. He formed a stance where he takes out a sword for one large slash. The royal magician noticed that and immediately activated an even more powerful barrier than before. As the projectiles came close towards Draxus's position, he muttered a small chant "[Autumn Whirlwind]" and slashed forward and cut everything in front of him. Ulysses, Duke Elliot, and the royal guard defended from the strike with all their might. Duke Elliot received considerable damage and ended up vomiting some blood after taking a cut on the stomach. Ulysses remained unscathed from the attack as he made multiple barriers after the royal magician to himself. While the royal guard took serious damage and had to drop out. Harold, who was a witness, opened a gate to the royal guard who knelt down with his shield cut in half. After the royal guard was forced to retire from the match, Harold immediately began healing his injuries.

In the audience seat, Olivia started cheering on Draxus who had managed to take out one of the more troublesome enemies. The royal guard kept the pressure to Draxus earlier by constantly being in front of him with his shield up. By charging with the shield, Draxus had almost no counter measure but to constantly force it back by launching attacks. Seeing that it was removed gave Olivia hope. "Olivia-hime." Remuel who noticed Olivia's hopeful stare gave her a reminder. "There is no need to hope, as Draxus said, he will win." But that was completely ignored. The king who heard Remuel's words asked in doubt. "Are you sure he'll win?" Remuel smiled and gave a response as to explain. "He said it himself you know? Besides, everyone underestimates us [People of Earth] when we fight, most of us may be weak right now but us who trained to our limits definitely will not lose to the likes of heroes who never saw us fight before." Oswald, who witnessed their royal guard being cut in one go became worried. "Is he gonna be alright?" Remuel then explained how capable their group is. "Don't worry, Harold is here, he's our best magician after all. Oh! Looks like Draxus is about to end the battle!"

In the arena, Draxus returned the white sword and took out the cerulean colored one. "Copy! [Constellation Grus Nivis]!" Ice particles had gathered around Draxus as he dashed forward to the position of the scout leader. Ulysses tried to stop him while Duke Elliot began chanting some magic while catching up. Draxus, who noticed Duke Elliot and the royal magician chanting, activated a special skill in a small mutter. "[Senho]..." He disappeared to the ground which got all four opponents surprised. They remained on guard but Draxus used this opportunity to eliminate their problematic defense source and sweep them down easily. He emerged from the ground without even a single piece of dirt on his clothes. He appeared from behind the royal magician and slashed her back. Just like the royal guard, she was transported to the audience with Harold's gate and was forced to retire the match to heal up. Arrows flew towards his position but he disappeared into the ground once more. This time, he aimed for Ulysses as the scout leader understood that she could be targeted next. Duke Elliot who was chanting became even more wary while Ulysses continued searching for answers as to how Draxus can hide in the situation. Before he noticed, a sleet of ice was being left as a trail which he immediately followed with his stern gaze. When Draxus appeared behind him, he immediately performed a slash behind him as if he anticipated for it. Draxus who realized that Ulysses found out about his method brought out an ice pillar from the ground to redirect his strike upwards with the slanted and curved shape. But instead of landing a slash which won't do much, he formed a sheathed stance and unleashed a powerful ability. "[Frost Storm]" a storm of ice blades were brought out from Draxus and made multiple unavoidable cuts on Ulysses. Most of which were defended but over the duration of five seconds, Ulysses accumulated to much cuts to be able to move in perfect condition. Two arrows struck the back of Draxus which was open and a sword made out of water passed through his chest. Ulysses was transported by Harold to the audience seat to heal up from critical damage, but Draxus remained on the battlefield as he vomited blood.

"Drax!" A loud shout came from Olivia as she saw Draxus getting pierced from behind with a sword made out of water. "We may have showed a shameful sight, but seeing as you're about to win, I just have to kill you so that Olivia can't marry you." Duke Elliot pulled out the water sword, leaving Draxus with an open chest as he vomited more blood. He then turned around and raised his black sword as if proclaiming victory. "With this, I have attained vict-" When he noticed the scout leader drawing the bow, he reflexively turned around to see Draxus floating in midair as his body starts healing up. "Don't think... You've won... Because you stabbed me..." Draxus, who started floating up his body announced with a rough voice and a deep smile. He then raised his voice while his chest closes up. "[Fortune Card XVII - Stars]!" With a burst of yellow light, Draxus was completely healed but there were signs of exhaustion. But because of the sudden recovery, Duke Elliot was surprised beyond belief and stepped back once. With panic in his eyes, he was completely vulnerable. Multiple ice spikes formed around him and pierced his elbows and knees, more of it were formed at point-blank range at the scout leader, piercing her elbows and knees. With them being unable to battle, Draxus took the victory as he raised his clenched fist up high.
