Isekai: The Eight Soul Fragments

Victorina and Remuel returned to the castle where we're immediately greeted by Begona Wallowhart. "Perfect timing Remuel Baphomet! We need your assistance to pick up Karl! We don't know why he's running away and avoiding us but we need to ask him for to fix the poison!" Remuel who was suspicious of her retained his calm conscience. "Where is he right now?" Begona urged both of them into the castle. They then went through the halls and arrived to the dining room. That room is where the king was formerly located. Remuel arrived to the empty dining room that was completely untouched. "Victorina, cover. [Amalgam of Secrets]!" Remuel immediately used his magic to uncover the truth of the poison. After some time, he had detected completely nothing. "I can't find anything? And it's aimed at royalty, attempted takeover?" Begona who heard Remuel's words immediately pondered. "Possible, but that also makes our position suspicious." Victorina started processing the situation as well and gained some opinions to bring out. "We're the most suspicious Remuel, since we ended up missing lunch..." Remuel looked around and asked for various questions. "First, we need to get the King and Prince cured. Let's head to the research room at once." After agreeing, Remuel went towards the research room as he had discussed with Harold. He was holding bad premonitions to his mind as he's extremely suspicious towards Begona.

While pretending to pass through the research room, Remuel stopped and followed along the idea of Harold. "Ulysses is in the research room?" He opened the door with a bang and went inside instantly. "Ulysses!" Ulysses heard Remuel's calling shout and immediately left his position. "Remuel! Perfect timing, we need to follow Harold's plan! He'll drag away the security that are chasing him as of the moment, we need a barrier!" Remuel who understood Harold's instructions immediately ordered the two that are behind him. "Begona, locate Duke Elliot and bring him here. Victorina, your strongest barrier that even has soundproofing." Begona immediately left the room and looked for Duke Elliot. "[Sanctuary for those who require the world's protection]" A powerful barrier was erected as Remuel took out his phone to call a certain person. He grit his teeth a little because he intends to drag one of his friends for the damage that is needed to be repaired. He called out to his friends that are also inside the research room hiding. "Everyone, prepare the [Remedy Potions]. We will need a lot if this is going to succeed." Remuel called the person that is needed for this situation.

In the town of Beryll, Draxus was at the back area of the luxurious in that he's staying on. He was working on the weapon request of Remuel with Olivia, Lily, and Julie observing as he made minute details. "Seeing as Remuel likes weaponry like scythes, I should focus on his weapons first since they require details or enhancements that could be used quite well." Draxus had bought the item that fancied him on the tools shop. It was a smelter that had a compact design, allowing for creation of weaponry. As Draxus took another took which flattens objects, he then created a gentle and sharp curve. After some time, just as he finished the weapon a phone call came to him. He pressed the respond button and placed it on loudspeaker. "What is it Remuel?" Remuel, who was on the other side of the phone immediately brought his business in. "Report to the castle stat, the King and Prince have been poisoned." Olivia who heard Remuel's words opened her eyes wide and started to panic in worry. Draxus responded to Remuel while proceeding to calm down Olivia. "I'll head there immediately, I'll arrive within thirty minutes." Draxus had been practicing gate magic for the convenience of transport. But since he hasn't fully gotten used to the magic, he can only travel with a maximum distance. However, it was close enough to the capital which was pretty helpful.

Remuel who was in the castle sat down near the king and the prince who are suffering in silence. They were fighting against the poison with all their might. "[Amalgam of Secrets]!" Remuel brought out the book of destiny and began analyzing them. "[Bring forth the secret of what I face]" The text began appearing on the book which currently explains their condition. "So that's why I can't find it in my [Amalgam of Destiny]! It's not poison!" Ulysses who heard Remuel's realization narrowed his eyes in suspicion. "What do you mean by that?" Remuel then gave an explanation while reading the rest of the information. "It's a liquid substance that resembles water, so it will blend into any wine. But it will corrode the inside of the person if they drink it." Victorina who also began to realize what the substance was, uttered in shock. "Hydrochloric acid?! How did they get that?! Did somebody from the [People on Earth] use it to poison the royalty?! That is an extremely dangerous substance!" Victorina shouted in anger since she knows well regarding the danger of poisoning people using various substances. But since it wasn't made by magic, or a magical beast's poison, it will not be detected as poison. However, objects that was created by mixing in various kinds of elements of the periodic table will not be easily detected. Unlike Arsenic and Mercury which can easily be detected by them. After some time continuously creating remedies, Draxus and his group arrived to the research room along with Harold who managed to lose the guards.

"Father! Brother!" Olivia rushed to the two unconscious royalties. "Where's Mother and Sister!?" Olivia turned her gaze to Ulysses with teary eyes and panic. "They're safe at their rooms, don't worry." Draxus stepped forward while showing expressions of anger. "Who did this?" Ulysses started sweating as Draxus let out a lot of pressure. "It was still unknown, Remuel will investigate once you cure them." Draxus moved to the side of Prince Oswald who is lying down unconscious and agonized. He then took out a card and began concentrating. Remuel who saw Draxus bring out a fortune card grit his teeth while clenching his hands and gave a warning to Draxus. "Draxus... It's Hydrochloric Acid... Sorry to push their pain to you..." Remuel apologized which was heard by Olivia. The tears in her eyes began to flood down as she heard the words that Draxus will be hurt. "Drax wai-!" Draxus forgave Remuel with a smile and activated the card. "[Fortune Card VI - Lovers]!" Multiple magic circles appeared above Prince Oswald's body that are rotating slowly like cogs. There are three different sizes of the various magic circles that appear. The largest have a total of three circles where the other two are inside. The second one only has one magic inside while the smallest only had one magic circle. "[Scan]" Draxus scanned the magic circles and identified which parts are damaged. Multiple magic circles turned red from the mouth to the stomach. "From the mouth to the stomach... Tch!" Draxus immediately began turning some magic circles and repairing them. In exchange, he will suffer the same pain. "Gah!" He vomited some blood to the floor and almost wavered his focus, he regained his concentration while ignoring Olivia's worried shout. "Drax!!" She was stopped by Ulysses while he was staring at Draxus with eyes filled with hope. Slowly but surely, he repaired Prince Oswald's body while gritting through the pain of having his insides corroded in illusion. "Next... The king..." As Draxus stood up, he was forced to kneel down once again and vomited blood. He was crying tears of blood already but he regained his posture and slowly moved to the king. Remuel noticed that Begona had arrived with a person that looks exactly like Duke Elliot. But since he detected that the presence is different, he immediately questioned him. "Who are you! Imposter!" Remuel had already seen Duke Elliot and recognized his presence many times. But the person that came wasn't Duke Elliot at all but someone who used magic to disguise as him. There was no response from the person who disguised himself. Begona was also shocked and immediately distanced herself from the imposter. "[Amalgam of Secrets]! [Bring forth the secret of what I face]!" He tried to scan the imposter but he bolted out of the room. "Begona who showed a shocked expression apologized to Remuel. "I'm sorry! I didn't know it was an impostor!" Remuel ignored the apology and instructed her to hunt him down and bring him. She then bolted out of the room and tried to chase through the halls. After cutting a corner, she encountered a maid and asked where Duke Elliot went off to "He went to through that hall." While pointing. Begona thanked her and tried to pursue him. But after she turned over a corner, the maid shapeshifted into Begona Wallowhart and waited from inside of one of the empty rooms.

Draxus had fully repaired Prince Oswald's corroded insides. However, he was having bloodshot eyes and tearing up blood while suffering heavily. Olivia was crying while trying ease the pain using magic while Lily and Julie could only watch Draxus taking severe pains. The king was still in a state but it was much worse since the corrosion has began to reach the heart. Draxus bravely tried to repair King Oscar's body while his consciousness was reaching the limits. He pushed himself further as he began twisting the magic circles while maintaining the concentration through the blurry view. Remuel remained speechless and began examining Prince Oswald using the [Amalgam of Destiny]. The result was splendid as he was fully healed and can wake up anytime. "Gah!!! Like this pain... Will stop me!!" Draxus let out a final shout of willpower as he fully repaired King Oscar's body while vomiting more blood. After the success, Remuel examined the king and the healing process was completed. Draxus however, passed out from the loss of blood. Olivia, Lily, and Julie flocked over him and tried to shake his body to wake him up. Olivia continued pouring magic to lessen the pain that was inflicted on Draxus. He was moved to a spot where Harold began using his magic and laid out a barrier for Draxus to be in stasis. Lily and Julie were comforting Olivia even with the tears on their eyes to see the strong dedication and sacrifice of their beloved.

Begona returned while panting and tried to immediately bring out the news. But Remuel who once again noticed the same presence immediately used [Amalgam of Destiny]. "Are you that retarded? If you think showing a different face would fool me for sure!" As Begona heard that, she rushed away from the area and left the room. Remuel tried to pursuit her but she encountered the real Begona and Duke Elliot. "You two, will be needed for this discussion."
