While Wesley was fighting against Begona and Duke at the same time, Keith and the rest of the members were trying to catch up to him. They followed the line of shadows that was left behind by Wesley as it began to disappear one by one. "Follow the shadows!" Keith ordered the rest of the members as they rushed through the halls. After they reached the living quarters, they first noticed Chris who was looking down filled with wrath and rage. "Fuckers who killed Eric... You will pay for this!!!" With a shout, the halls began erecting a large number of metallic spikes. As the structure itself is built out of metal, it was an ability that's similar to metal bending. Keith got a major terrible premonition and instantly activated [Chronopause]. "Guhh!!!" He pushed away the other members to different directions and closed in after a few seconds. As time continued, metallic spikes emerged from the ground and launched a flurry. Chris was beaten up badly from that attack and was knocked down quickly. "Wesley's in major trouble! Give me a path Audrey!" Audrey who heard the commanding shout immediately used her version of telekinesis and cleared up the spikes that are meant to prevent any form of escape. Keith then passed through the path and went towards Wesley. Chris stood up right after Keith left as if there was no damage to his body. "Kuh kuh kuh... Finally, the strong ones aren't here... I'll kill you three first, before I deal with them two!" After raising his voice into a yell of spirit, dangerous levels of magic erupted from his body. "This is kinda bad..." Mitch asked Audrey after hearing her small mutter. "What do you think Audrey...?" Viceroy moved in front and activated his shield which was generated out of magic from his watch on the left hand. A large guardian shield was formed out of crystals which allowed them to defend from attacks at the front. "Everyone! Behind me!" Audrey then began explaining the issue regarding Chris. "This is a combination of two different forms of magic. He must've absorbed his younger brother's magic to allow him to use two dangerous things at once. "[Duality]!!! [Heaven and Hell]!!!" High level light and dark magic was launched towards the crystal shield and was blocked. Chris used his ability to perform bend the metal around the area but it was cancelled out by Audrey's telekinesis. Being unable to lose focus, Audrey kept herself in an impasse to prevent the enraged Chris to joust them with hundreds of spikes. Viceroy began supplying the huge amount of required mana to sustain the crystal shield. Due to the extremity of the problem, Mitch took out his musket and began firing bullets as if to slowly damage Chris. However, every time Mitch peeks out from the shield, the darkness magic would blind and set his aim in complete disarray. Without knowing, he accidentally hit Viceroy on the leg which interrupted the sustaining of the crystal shield for one second, causing it to receive irrecoverable damage. Mitch used his time stop abilities to at least try prevent the laser from penetrating further. He moved Viceroy back within that split second of stopped time and allowed him to reset the crystal shield that began reflecting a weird gray light. "Kuh!!" Audrey cut her concentration for a split second to try and get an EMP grenade. However, that split second of concentration was too vital which metal spikes began converging at a high speed. "Audrey!" Mitch shouted and stopped time once again to push her away from the converging attacks, but as time continued, Mitch got jousted with metallic spikes on the left shoulder, gut, right torso, left shank, and right arm. After vomiting out blood, Audrey immediately removed all the metallic spikes that pierced through Mitch and began to heal him with basic healing magic. Unlike the [Spirit of Reverence] who specializes in holy magic, Audrey administered the [Regen Deluxe] potions that were given to her by Draxus. While Mitch drank and regenerated himself with the potion, Audrey was supplementing him with healing magic. Her eyes couldn't be seen easily as there was a bit of negative emotion called anger in her. Viceroy's shield began cracking as it was absorbing too much attack magic. "Kuhh!! Damn it!!" Flora returned the EMP grenade into the storage and quickly finished up healing Mitch using sanguine magic. She then stood up just as Viceroy's magic crystal shield blew up and created a large impact. "[Fuse o fire and light, daybreak that sears life, Solar Flare]!!!" After Audrey unleashed a powerful laser, Chris smiled and let out the duality of holy and demonic magic once more. "[Duality]! [Heaven and Hell]!" A powerful convergence of sunlight clashed against the black and white duality of holy and unholy magic. A powerful null-zone formed in the center of the two lasers were created. After some time, the null-zone began its push towards Audrey who despite having the highest talent and capacity among the [Sentinels] in terms of magic, was losing to the everlasting power of the monochromatic laser. Mitch was still heavily injured as he aimed his pistol towards Chris, he then fired a single rubber bullet which somewhat missed due to the dull aiming of his half-baked consciousness. At the very least, he didn't complain that his aim was thrown off by the unholy portion of Chris's attacks. Mitch shot another bullet which somehow landed on Chris's thigh. Since it was paralytic, he had hoped that it would end with that. However, Chris simply clicked his tongue on the pain as the talisman that he had hidden on his leg was revealed. "A... Talisman charm...?" Despite that, the effect was still good as Audrey managed to push the null-zone to him a little before stopping and getting pushed back once again. Mitch continued firing the rubber bullets which mostly ended in vain. A few bullets hit Chris and cut the concentration to the point where it was just one more bullet to get the null-zone to hit him. However, the bullets in his magazine ran out as most of them missed or got dispersed in the crossfire of lasers. Both Audrey and Chris showed no signs of running out of mana despite continuously expending a huge amount of it for over a minute. The laser began pushing as Mitch tried to reload with one hand. Viceroy was knocked out from the attack which means that the laser could threaten their lives. "Shi... I won't... Make it...!" Just as the null-zone was about to hit Audrey, she cancelled out her convergence laser and activated a large jade ring that she wore as a necklace. "[Jade Sanctuary]!" Fifty layers of barriers were activated just as the null-zone that was created struck the barrier. As a result, the barriers were shattered one by one quickly due to the overwhelming power and blew the two away. Chris finally almost ran out of mana and decided to cancel after breaking all of Audrey's barriers. He then closed his position and tried to make the finishing move with a short sword. But he stopped just before he performed the slash and decided to run back to the deeper parts of the living quarters as he heard a sign for help through telepathy. Mitch, Audrey, and Viceroy had their consciousness reaped from receiving the null-zone. Chris ran through the halls once more to locate Begona's room. After taking a few seconds to arrive to the destination, he found Elliot who got stabbed in the brain through the skull by Wesley, and Begona whose face got squashed and splattered blood all over the room by Keith. "What... What have you done!!!" With a loud shout filled with complete rage, he absorbed the abilities and the remaining mana of the two friends that just died. "I will avenge you all!!! Die [Sentinels] die!!!!!" The sofas in the room raised themselves and water began generating from two portals created by Chris like a sprinkler. Holy and unholy magic swirled in once more with Chris in the center as he prepared every single bit of magic that he had absorbed. However, he had completely lost control of himself.
