Chapter 14: The Detention Center & Cursed Womb
After their first mission, Team Gojo had a short time to rest and to get acquainted eachother before another job, but what they didn't know was that it would be the grave prepared for them.
The air inside the detention center felt thick with tension as Ijichi spoke. He was clearly nervous, his eyes flicking between the trio as he explained the gravity of the situation.
"This is a high-level curse," Ijichi warned, his voice shaking. "You all have the option to refuse—this mission is too dangerous for unseasoned sorcerers. The risk of death is very real."
Yuji, however, wasn't listening. He had already locked eyes with a woman standing nearby—her face streaked with tears as she clutched her son's jacket. She looked desperate, as if the last shred of hope was now on their shoulders.
"Please save my son, please."
"Yuji, remember you have the ability to help others."
Yuji stepped forward. "I'll go. I can't ignore someone like this."
Nobara scoffed. "Great. Hero complex activated."
Megumi stayed quiet for a moment before following suit. "I'm coming with you."
Ijichi hesitated but nodded reluctantly. "Please, be careful. This is more dangerous than it seems…"
As Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi headed toward the detention center, the higher-ups were busy discussing their plans elsewhere.
"Send Akira away," one of them muttered. "We can't risk both Itadori and Akira being together. If they both go in, Gojo will retaliate if something goes wrong. It's best to have one far away."
"If either one of them dies or Sukuna takes over, it will be an advantage for us," another added, coldly calculating. "And Gojo won't be able to do anything about it."
The moment they stepped into the eerie detention center, the atmosphere shifted. It was as if the entire building was alive, and the walls seemed to close in on them.
"An incomplete Domain."
"We need to be careful. This place feels wrong," Megumi muttered, his expression darkening.
"Tell me something I don't know," Nobara shot back, tightening her grip on her hammer.
Yuji's fists clenched. He could feel the weight of the responsibility pressing on him. They couldn't turn back now.
The trio moved deeper into the complex with the guide of Megumi's Shikigami, the darkness ahead consuming everything in its path.
As they ventured forward,
"What the hell is this?" Nobara cursed, looking around in confusion.
"Stay focused," Megumi said, his eyes scanning the area. "We've got to stay together. There's no telling what's in here."
The smell of decay was overpowering as they witnessed the dead bodies of inmates scattered across the floor.
"I'm taking back the bodies," Yuji said.
"Are you out of your mind, Itadori? They're already dead."
"At least I could bring back his body to his mother."
Their conversation was cut off when suddenly a curse appeared before them.
"So fast."
The curse was massive, its presence crushing. It barely looked like anything human, its body a grotesque mockery of form.
It moved swiftly, and with a single swipe, it sent Megumi and Nobara flying back. They crashed into the walls, struggling to regain their footing.
Then Nobara disappeared from view.
"It was a Special Grade"
Yuji tried to fight back with the knife Gojo had given him, but it was clear his efforts were futile. The curse batted him aside, and his hand was severed in an instant. Blood splattered as Yuji fell to his knees.
"I can't do this… I'm not strong enough," Yuji thought, his face pale.
Nobara was knocked out of the way and trapped elsewhere, fighting off other curses that appeared out of nowhere. Megumi, still dazed, summoned Nue, but the curse laughed cruelly.
One of the jade dogs was already killed off by the curse.
The Curse,it was playing with them like toys.
Yuji struggled, his mind a whirlwind of doubt. He had always been the strong one, but now, in the face of something so overwhelming, he felt powerless. His hand was gone, and his other arm was growing weak.
"Sukuna," Yuji whispered, his voice barely audible.
Sukuna's cold, mocking voice echoed in his mind.
"You want my help?" Sukuna scoffed. " pathetic. Why would I help someone like you?"
Yuji's heart sank. "Please... I need to protect them…"
Sukuna's voice turned venomous. "I'd rather die than help you. If you die, that's one less nuisance. I'll even kill your little friends if it comes to that."
Yuji clenched his teeth, his head pounding with the weight of Sukuna's words. But despite everything, he refused to give in.
"Fushiguro, find Nobara and escape," he said to Megumi with a decisive mind.
Megumi wanted to argue but could only obey, as the calm beaded one je already realised infront this ,they had no chance against the special-grade curse.
With the help of the other divine dog, Megumi escaped the detention center after rescuing Nobara from the other curses.
After sending her to the hospital with Ijichi, he solemnly said, "Send a Grade 1 sorcerer."
With a face full of worry, Megumi muttered, "Yuji, please be okay."
After he solemnly counted the minutes, waiting for Yuji, but what appeared before him was a figure crashing through the building.
The detention center returned to normal and the curtain was lifted, which meant the cursed spirit had been exorcised.
Yuji's body now lay on the ground, but the markings on his body and the malevolent energy surrounding him told Megumi it was not Itadori Yuji.
It was Ryoman Sukuna—the King of Curses.
But the King of Curses now looked pitiful. With his body battered, ribs cracked, hands severed, and even his heart ripped out.
Sukuna slowly stood up, healing his injuries.
With a face full of hatred and his gleaming with killing intent, he looked into the building, awaiting someone.
Megumi, who witnessed all of this, stood frozen. His eyes searched for whom Sukuna was waiting for.
And he saw it—his pupils dilated in shock.
It was a familiar yet still unfamiliar person. He didn't recognize those eyes and their indifferent expression.
Without any urgency, the figure slowly walked toward Sukuna, holding something. When he reached him, he threw one of Sukuna's fingers toward its owner and said,
"Eat."
Like throwing food to a stray dog, Sukuna seethed with anger, his four eyes reflecting only one figure.
"Who are you, really?"
"Me!!"
"Bokuga…"
---
Sometime Earlier
Yuji fought against the despair clawing at his heart. He thought about his grandfather's words, Yaga's teachings, and the mission to protect people.
"Don't waste your life," Yuji remembered. "I won't."
Summoning everything inside of him, Yuji forced cursed energy through his veins for the first time. It felt like fire coursing through his body, overwhelming and uncontrollable.
But despite the surge of power, Yuji's body was still weak from the injuries he'd sustained. He couldn't keep up.
With a final, desperate push, Yuji launched himself at the curse again, but was knocked down once more. He lost his other hand, pain flooding his senses.
"Megumi... Nobara... You guys escape from here," Yuji gasped, blood leaking from his mouth.Just as Yuji's consciousness began to fade, he heard Megumi's faint signal.
The moment was fleeting, but it was enough. Suddenly, a dark, malevolent force surged through him, suffocating his awareness. The air shifted, the temperature dropping sharply, and the sinister energy of Sukuna erupted to life, seizing control.
"Finally," Sukuna's voice reverberated within Yuji's mind, thick with disdain. "You troublesome brat."
Yuji's body was no longer his own. Slowly, he was lifted from the ground, his eyes glowing as piercing crimson, Sukuna's smirk widened. The presence of the King of Curses alone made the air heavy, oppressive.
Sukuna glanced down at his borrowed body, flexing his fingers as he chuckled darkly. How should I punish this brat for daring to use me? he thought.
Turning his attention to the special-grade curse before him, Sukuna grinned with an unsettling mix of amusement and cruelty. He patted the monstrous creature's grotesque shoulder mocking it as though it were a child. "Come with me," he drawled. "Let's hunt those brats together."
The special-grade curse growled in defiance, its pride preventing it from submitting. Without hesitation, it launched a vicious attack against Sukuna, its claws slicing through the air toward him.
Sukuna didn't flinch. Instead, his grin widened as he caught the strike effortlessly, his grip crushing the curse's limb with bone-shattering force. "Oh," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. "I forgot. Newborn curses like you don't leave their nests."
His tone turned cold, devoid of amusement. "Then die here."
Sukuna moved with inhuman speed, his fist colliding with the curse's face. The impact was devastating, slamming the creature into the floor with enough force to shatter it. The ground caved beneath them, the sheer power of Sukuna's attack reducing the area to rubble.
Yet, even in its battered state, the special-grade curse refused to give up. As it fell, it latched onto Sukuna's ankle with its massive claws, its twisted grin betraying its intent to drag Sukuna into destruction alongside it.
Sukuna looked down at the curse's grip, his expression one of irritation mingled with amusement. "Don't you need your arms?" he taunted.
With a single, precise movement, Sukuna severed the curse's arm entirely, the detached limb in his hands. The King of Curses remained perched atop the debris as they plummeted, sitting cross-legged as though the entire ordeal was beneath him.
When they hit the ground, the impact obliterated everything in the vicinity. Dust and debris filled the air, but Sukuna emerged unscathed, his aura untouched. He stared at the broken form of the special-grade curse, his grin returning as he dragged its remains toward a nearby wall. With a sadistic flourish, Sukuna pinned the curse's body to the wall like a grotesque decoration.
"You know," Sukuna began, stating facts , "we're both called special grades."
He leaned in slightly, his crimson eyes gleaming with sadistic glee. "But even among special grades, there's a difference in class."
Rising to his full height, Sukuna extended his hands and began to form a precise mudra. His cursed energy swirled around him, the sheer force of it distorting the air. The ground trembled beneath his feet as he prepared to unleash his ultimate technique.
"Domain Expansion," Sukuna intoned, his voice a deadly promise.
The battlefield shook violently as his domain began to manifest, the malevolent energy threatening to consume everything. The air was thick with suffocating power, his aura so overwhelming that it silenced even the rubble's echoes. This was the peak of jujutsu mastery—a display of absolute dominance.
But just as Sukuna's domain was about to fully take shape—
Thud.
The sound broke the tension like a sharp knife. Sukuna's grin faltered, his head snapping toward the source. Standing amidst the ruins, a figure emerged, uninvited yet commanding attention. Their presence was calm, almost defiant, and it sent a ripple of intrigue—and irritation—through the King of Curses.
"Who dares disturb me?" Sukuna growled, his crimson eyes narrowing.
***
Far away from the detention center, in one of the hideouts of a criminal gang.
"You... You...!" Looking at his fellow members who had been dismembered, he stammered, "You are him."
"Why... but how!"
"Didn't you rats want to see me? Here I am, in the flesh!"
"If not for your actions, I couldn't have found your hideout," the bloodied figure slowly narrated. "All the other places, your friends, even your family—no one was spared. I've sent them to hell. Now it's your turn."
Sosuke ran away in fear.
When humans are at their limit, they can surpass their actual mustering every strength of his legs Sosuke fled in terror through the corridors where the darkness clung like leeches.
Bang!
"Ahhhhhh!"
Gunshots and screams echoed, like he was in hell.
Sosuke lost his mind as he fell. The sound of footsteps approaching was like the death bell ringing.
"Even if you are the vilest or most disgusting criminal, I don't have time to torture you, so..."
With a wave, his body was cut into pieces, then again and again, until only minced meat remained.
Without any emotional fluctuations, 'HE' walked away silently, like a reaper.
To do his job,to reap another soul as punishment.
Manabu was walking through the dark parking area where his car was parked. If he had looked carefully, he would have noticed that it was empty—silent, like a graveyard. The cameras had stopped working a long time ago.
🎶 In a world that's lost its way
I'd rather die than live without dignity each day
O mortal, I confess
A life without pride is a life in distress... 🎶
"Nice verse," a man's deep voice echoed through the area.
Like sunlight piercing through the darkness, a slash came quickly, severing Manabu's head. His wide-open eyes never saw his killer, only the soft murmurs of the song accompanying him into death.

**
(Verse 1)
In a world that's lost its way
I'd rather die than live without dignity each day
O mortal, I confess
A life without pride is a life in distress
(Chorus)
But in your presence, I am free
I'll sacrifice my life, for you and me
In your eyes, my heart finds a home
With you, I am never alone
(Verse 2)
I'll perform the final rites for my desires
And let go of the flames that burn with fires
My passions, my dreams, my heart's delight
All sacrificed, in the silence of night
(Chorus)
But in your presence, I am free
I'll sacrifice my life, for you and me
In your eyes, my heart finds a home
With you, I am never alone
(Bridge)
And when you're gone, I wither away
Like autumn leaves, that fade with each passing day
My soul, a canvas, once vibrant and bright
Now a dull gray, without your loving light
(Chorus)
But in your presence, I am free
I'll sacrifice my life, for you and me
In your eyes, my heart finds a home
With you, I am never alone.

The man, half of his eyes closed, finally ended the song. His eyes reached a faraway place.
"Looks like it has already started."
His calculating eyes hiding his sharpness, muttered
"I'm low on energy. I want that special grade."
He closed his eyes again to feel the 'Cards' he had given. All three of them were in different places, but he knew which one he was looking for.
The man vanished from the parking area like a magician after his performance, but there were no cheers or applause—only silence.
He had gone to implement his plans as for whether it was good or bad ,no one knows not even him. He is going according with his principles and his plans.
