Chapter 90: Chapter 89
Haruka, armed with Abysslasher and Abysshammer, fights the Manta Men. He slashes at them with the Abyss Sabers, his movements fluid and precise. The Manta Men's advanced weaponry proves challenging, but Haruka's Contract Monsters provide crucial support, tearing through their defenses.
Suddenly, a massive mech belonging to the Manta Men stomps onto the battlefield. The towering machine swings its massive arm, backhanding Haruka with tremendous force. The Kamen Rider is sent hurtling into a nearby wall, crashing through the concrete with a sickening thud.
Aquaman, now fully recovered from his captivity, emerges from the water, his eyes blazing with fury. The Atlantean king rushes towards the Manta Men's mech, his powerful fists slamming into the machine's armored plating. The mech staggers under the relentless assault.
Aquaman grabs hold of the mech's arm and with a mighty heave, rips it clean off. The severed limb crashes to the ground, sparks and hydraulic fluid spewing from the wound. The Manta Men inside the mech desperately try to regain control, but Aquaman is merciless in his assault.
Leaping onto the mech's torso, Aquaman delivers a series of devastating blows, his fists shattering the machine's armor with each strike. The mech's systems begin to fail, warning lights flashing as it teeters on the verge of collapse.
With one final, earth-shattering punch, Aquaman punches straight through the mech's chest, his hand emerging from the other side. The machine shudders and falls, crashing to the ground in a heap of twisted metal and sparks.
Aquaman lands gracefully, his eyes scanning the battlefield for any remaining Manta Men. Seeing Haruka's prone form, he rushes to the Kamen Rider's side, gently lifting him from the rubble.
Aquaman gently sets Haruka down, examining the Kamen Rider for any serious injuries. "Are you alright?" he asks with concern.
Haruka nods, wincing slightly as he tries to stand. "I'm fine. We need to regroup with Hila, Mera, and Atlanna. They're still out there."
Aquaman offers Haruka a hand, helping him to his feet. "Then let's not keep them waiting. We need to get out of here before more of those Manta Men show up."
Haruka and Aquaman are suddenly blasted by a red beam, feeling searing heat on their chests. They turn to see Black Manta, his eyes glowing red.
"You're not going anywhere," Black Manta declares, his voice dripping with malice.
Black Manta's words drip with malice as he declares, "He said to kill you slowly, but it seems a change of plans are in order." Blades slide out of his wrists as he threatens, "I'll kill you myself."
Haruka and Aquaman exchange a knowing glance, steeling themselves for the impending clash. In a burst of motion, they rush towards Black Manta, their bodies coiled with the tension of the impending fight.
Black Manta swings his bladed wrists in a deadly arc, forcing Haruka and Aquaman to dodge and weave. The Kamen Rider counters with a flurry of slashes from his Abyss Sabers, the blades clashing against Black Manta's armored gauntlets. Aquaman punches and jabs, his movements fluid and powerful.
The three combatants exchange a series of rapid blows, the sounds of metal on metal echoing through the cavernous space. Black Manta's agility allows him to evade many of their strikes, but Haruka and Aquaman's combined assault begins to wear him down.
Sensing an opening, Haruka leaps into the air, his Abyss Sabers poised to deliver a devastating downward strike. Black Manta, anticipating the move, fires a powerful energy blast from his chest, slamming Haruka back to the ground.
Aquaman takes advantage of the distraction and attacks Black Manta from behind. The villain narrowly blocks the attack. He retaliates with a series of lightning-fast slashes, forcing Aquaman to retreat.
The two heroes regroup, their breaths coming in heavy pants. Black Manta stands before them, his crimson eyes glowing with malevolence. "Is that the best you can do?" he taunts, his voice dripping with disdain.
Haruka, his voice laced with determination, declared, "Not even close." He turned to Aquaman and asked, "Give me an opening?"
Aquaman nodded, his eyes narrowing as he readied himself. In a burst of motion, the two heroes charged at Black Manta, their movements in perfect sync.
Aquaman lashed out with a powerful fist, his blow slamming into Black Manta's chest. The villain staggered, his focus momentarily diverted. Seizing the opportunity, Haruka brought his Abyss Sabers crashing down, the blades striking with precision.
Black Manta reacted swiftly, deflecting the attack with his armored gauntlets. But Aquaman pressed on, his bare-handed assault relentless. He managed to break one of the blades on Manta's wrist, then followed up with a brutal headbutt that sent the villain reeling.
Seeing his chance, Haruka quickly retrieved the Final Vent card and inserted it into the Abyssvisor. A rumbling filled the air as the massive form of Abyssodon emerged, its mechanical jaws gaping wide.
[Final Vent]
Abyssodon unleashed a torrent of water, creating a powerful vortex that pulled Black Manta into its swirling grasp. Haruka then launched himself into the air, his body coiled with energy. With a mighty Rider Kick, he slammed into Black Manta, the force of the impact amplified by the momentum of the spinning vortex.
Black Manta crashes to the floor, his armor broken into pieces. Many bones were broken in his body, and he could barely move. Haruka and Aquaman stood above him, their expressions grim.
Haruka turned to Aquaman, his voice laced with uncertainty. "What should we do with him?"
Aquaman's gaze narrowed as he looked down at the defeated villain. "He will answer for his crimes soon enough," he said, his tone resolute. "But the more important task now is to regroup with Hila, Mera, and Atlanna."
Haruka nodded, his mind racing with concern for the others. "Lead the way, Aquaman. I'm right behind you."
The two heroes quickly made their way back to the surface, their footsteps echoing through the cavernous space. As they emerged, they were greeted by the sight of Hila, Mera, and Atlanna, all of them battered but alive.
Mera's face lit up with relief as she saw Arthur emerge unharmed. Without a moment's hesitation, she rushed into his arms, embracing him tightly. Their lips met in a passionate kiss, conveying the longing they had felt during his absence. Atlanna watched the tender reunion, her eyes shining with joy at the sight of her son's safe return.
Hila's gaze shifted to Haruka, and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She approached him, her regal bearing momentarily softened by the genuine concern in her eyes. "I'm glad to see you're alright," she said, her voice tinged with relief.
Haruka nodded, his voice laced with relief. "Yeah, we encountered Black Manta, but we took him down."
Hila's eyes widened slightly, and a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She was glad to hear that Haruka had been able to defeat the formidable villain. "I'm relieved to hear that," she said, her regal bearing momentarily softened by her genuine concern.
Arthur pulled his mother Atlanna into a tight embrace. The Atlantean queen's eyes shimmered with joy as she held her son, grateful to see him safe. "My child," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion.
Aquaman's expression then turned serious as he pulled away from the embrace. "We must return to Atlantis," he said firmly. "I need to speak with my brother, Orm."
Haruka, Hila, Mera, and Atlanna nod and they go back to Atlantis to stop Orm. The journey back is tense, with each of them lost in their own thoughts about the confrontation ahead. Hila's brow is furrowed, contemplating the best diplomatic approach, while Mera grips Aquaman's hand tightly, her eyes filled with determination. Atlanna's expression is pensive, the weight of her past decisions heavy on her shoulders. Haruka remains quiet, his mind racing with the events that have unfolded and the uncertain path that lies ahead. As they near the gates of Atlantis, a sense of purpose solidifies within the group. They are united in their resolve to confront Orm and prevent further conflict.
