Chapter 151 - Vol. 3 Prologue
Chapter 151. Vol 3. Prologue
The caravan of wagons stretched endlessly.
It moved at such a slow pace that even a turtle could probably overtake it.
Occasionally, beastmen with no baggage would sprint by at full speed. They were likely messengers or something of the sort.
Though the wasteland seemed to stretch forever, the scattered shrubs and the caravan extending ahead and behind served as a reminder that the land was not entirely barren, offering some small comfort to the travelers’ hearts.
Though many merchants were likely growing impatient with this slow pace.
As the sky turned to dusk, most of the wagons found space by the roadside and began preparing for an overnight stay. Originally, they should have entered the independent city of Sebites long ago, so one could understand their deep sighs.
Amidst their gloom, a blinding light illuminated them.
As they looked toward the source, they saw a white carriage, unlike anything they had ever seen, moving down the road without any horses. Moreover, the light from the front of the carriage was a fierce brightness that no “lamp” artifact could produce, and it wasn’t the glow of a flame either.
With their mouths agape, the travelers watched as the mysterious white carriage slowly disappeared over the horizon.
A sense that something exciting was about to begin in the city-state of Sevites ahead brought smiles to their faces.
