Kan-Gar-Chu! (One Piece fanfic)

Chapter 529: Infiltration

Bunbun and Ashwin continued to follow the movements of the Camo Pirates until they eventually made their way back onto their ships.

Some of the captives were not completely sold off so they were taken back onto one of the ships allowing Bunbun and Ashwin to get a slightly better idea of where some were being held.

They still had the same goal as before and they could not afford to remain where they were and let them get away.

Bunbun and Ashwin began their next move as they snuck on board the ship maintaining their stealth as best as they could.

Those boarding the ship did not seem to notice their presence as they were able to sneak on.

There were no alarms or monitors to detect any intruders since the ship had been occupied again and nobody would expect that someone had been hidden among them.

It could have been possible to detect them if they snuck on board when such mechanisms were turned on when they were away to protect the security of their ship but not in the current situation.

Bunbun and Ashwin kept close as they avoided the pirates that were on the ship.

They made their way toward where the prisoners were taken and remained there for the time being.

Their role was essential to the success of their mission so they could not fail.

Both of them being there was considered as being a hidden wild card that could cause a lot of trouble to the Camo Pirates but they needed to still make use of the best possible timing.

The ships began to start up again as there was finally some movement from them.

It seemed like they were in a hurry to move on to somewhere else and their stealth functions began to be turned on too.

They remained there lying in wait for quite some time so they were both getting quite impatient and bored.

It was not until a little later that they were suddenly more alert.

Warning alarms began to go off inside of the ship and many of the pirates on board were beginning to move quickly to their posts.

It seemed like they were about to undergo a battle or perhaps they were already under attack.

It was more likely that they were under attack with alarms going off making everyone so urgent to move.

If they were under attack when under the protection of their stealth technology, there had to be very few reasons for that happening.

The most likely one among them was that their plan had worked and it was finally time for them to make a move.

Bunbun poked the shoulder of Ashwin who was close to her then motioned for him to follow her.

They moved slowly and silently as they got closer to the entrance to where the prisoners were being kept.

There were two of the pirates that were on guard near a large metal sliding door and each side of the door had what looked like key card slots.

They were unaware that someone was around them and they could never have anticipated what happened next.

A heavy impact hit both of them in the back of the neck causing them to drop to the ground.

They barely made a noise as they were caught before they hit the ground and were lowered down by Bunbun and Ashwin.

Their clothes opened up as some rummaging sounds were coming from their clothes which followed with some key cards being taken out from each of them.

The keycards floated up before being inserted into the slots on each side of the door then the metal door opened.

The two bodies that were lying there were quickly dragged inside before the door closed behind them.

What was inside were many cages and prison rooms that were occupied by several different races that could not be found in the One Piece world.

Each of them was in low spirits as they already knew what their future would be like.

They had escaped being sold off for the time being but it would not be long before they would be sold off too.

All they could hope for was that their owner would be a good one and would treat them well.

If they got someone bad then their lives would be absolute hell and not worth living.

Many among them were mercenaries while some others were from other various professions that could be found venturing into space.

Not all of them were from the Ripper Mercenaries and some among them had been held captive for much longer.

Those who had been there longer were much thinner and were lower in spirits compared to the others since they had to endure poor treatment over a long time.

Not every race was so valuable or considered rare while some people from certain professions would not be seen as being useful slaves too.

When it came to the slave trade, everyone had a price and if someone was unable to be sold for various reasons, they would either be killed by their captors or they would suffer under their captors due to them not being worth anything and being a waste of time capturing them.
