Chapter 18: Clan Ideology Classes
-----
"Great ideas! You spoke well! Have you been thinking about these ideas for a long time?"
Uchiha Jiri's eyes lit up as she looked at her son.
The surprises her son gave her never seemed to end.
In the past, both she and other Uchiha leaders had considered changing the hostility villagers felt toward the Police Force.
But they never found a good solution.
Now, hearing Kaito's approach, her mind suddenly opened up.
"Indeed, having elite Uchiha handle trivial matters, personally arguing with villagers over small disputes—"
"Not only is it beneath our dignity, but it also wastes effort without gaining any goodwill."
"Such tasks should be left to civilian ninjas or those from other clans."
"The Uchiha should focus on being fair referees and judges."
"Establishing an elite Police Force could also cultivate a truly powerful unit within the clan to intimidate the Third Hokage and his supporters."
"Let's proceed as you suggested!"
"Do you have any ideas regarding clan education?"
Uchiha Jiri looked at her son expectantly.
In her mind, these insights were undoubtedly the result of the Sage's teachings combined with her son's brilliance.
"I do!"
Uchiha Kaito nodded confidently. "Currently, the clan's education is virtually nonexistent."
"I propose we establish pre-school clan classes, after-school reinforcement classes for academy students, advanced classes for Genin and Chunin, and an exchange program for Jonin."
"For the pre-school classes, the curriculum should include ideological education, ninja world history, Uchiha clan history, basic taijutsu training, and kunai and shuriken throwing."
In essence, every Uchiha ninja at every stage should be striving for excellence.
If we continue to let them slack off like this, how will they grow stronger?
How can they uphold the Uchiha's glory?
As the future clan leader, he was putting in the effort. How could the rest of the clan justify being lazy?
He wouldn't allow it.
"I will review all the existing taijutsu techniques, related experience, and training methods in the clan soon."
"I'll compile and refine them into a more comprehensive foundational taijutsu training system for the pre-school classes and the academy reinforcement programs."
"Additionally, the pre-school classes should have access to my optimized medicinal baths based on clan recipes to strengthen the children's foundation."
"We can even provide small amounts of Sea King meat for nutrition."
"Of course, it's best not to reveal the Sea King meat source for now."
"So, in the coming days, I'll develop a special ration pill made from Sea King meat. Let's call it the Nutrient Pill."
"For this, Mom, I'll need you to provide me with the clan's knowledge and recipes related to ration pills."
Building a solid foundation starts with the youngest members.
Among these courses, Kaito particularly emphasized the importance of ideological education.
He planned to write a textbook on ethics and morals, tailored to the ninja world, based on his past life's knowledge and the current context.
This would shape the values of the Uchiha clan from the ground up.
Changing adults was harder and could wait. Starting with children was more feasible.
Only when his or Jiri's strength was sufficient to silence any dissent in the clan would it be time to fully enforce ideological education among adults.
"No problem! That's simple! I'll get those materials for you soon," Uchiha Jiri replied without hesitation.
Then she asked, "You seem to value ideological education a lot. Why is that?"
Kaito thought about the future Uchiha Itachi and the naive Shisui. He sighed and shook his head.
"Mom, Just think about Uchiha Itachi and Shisui in the future. It's clear how important it is to instill the right values from childhood."
"If we don't occupy the ideological high ground, the Third Hokage and his allies will brainwash our clan with their distorted Will of Fire."
"Then, they'll turn our own people against us!"
Hearing this, Uchiha Jiri's expression turned serious.
"Indeed, I've overlooked this before. Ideological education is crucial," she admitted.
"But it doesn't stop there!"
Kaito shook his head again.
"Adult education is also important. Right now, the clan's radicals are influenced by old war-era hardliners, educated to be so extreme."
"They're actually thinking of launching a coup against the entire village with just our clan. Isn't that pure madness?"
Even if they won, they'd ultimately lose.
As one of the two founding clans of the village, why couldn't the Uchiha find a way to reclaim power gradually?
Uchiha Jiri frowned slightly.
"That's a serious problem, but adult mindsets are usually set and hard to change. You should understand that."
"I do," Kaito replied with a nod.
"So, I don't plan to start with adults right away. Let's begin with the children."
He then discussed the details of the reinforcement classes for academy students, the advanced classes for Genin and Chunin, the Jonin exchange program, and a more refined clan merit system with Jiri.
Once everything was settled, the conversation ended.
"By the way!"
As Jiri was about to leave, Kaito called out to her again, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Mom, could you help me map out some locations?"
"At least illuminate the maps of Jaya Island and Loguetown for me. That way, I can teleport there anytime."
According to the Space-Time Gate's mechanics, Kaito or any bound member could teleport to places they'd visited.
Given his current strength, it was too dangerous to explore those locations alone, so he had to rely on his mother.
Though he'd already assigned her a lot of tasks, essentially treating her as an all-purpose worker.
"Mapping? What does that mean?" Jiri asked, confused.
"Huh? I didn't tell you about this before?"
Kaito raised an eyebrow.
Jiri shook her head in exasperation.
"Alright, that's my fault!"
Kaito slapped his forehead and explained the Space-Time Gate's features to her.
Jiri was amazed.
"So, as long as we've been to a place, we can teleport there anytime?"
"Does that mean I can teleport to the Sabaody Archipelago whenever I want?"
"Can this be used in the ninja world too?"
Kaito gave her a thumbs-up.
"You've hit the nail on the head! And yes, it works everywhere, including the ninja world."
Teleportation hacks were just that awesome.
"That's fantastic!"
Jiri's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"With this, everything becomes so much more convenient, both in the ninja world and the pirate world!"
"This could even serve as a life-saving tool, similar to the Flying Thunder God technique."
"Maybe even better since there's no need to set up coordinates."
"No drawbacks, no consumption—this could even be used strategically in battle!"
"Uh… Something like that," Kaito replied, stunned by his mother's sharp insights.
"This is critical! I'll handle the mapping!"
"Loguetown and Jaya Island, right? Leave them to me! I'll carve out some time every day to finish this task."
"But can you tell me why you chose these locations? What's there?"
Jiri agreed to his request but remained curious.
She knew her son always had his reasons.
