But the true reason is to see the power of all nations, microscale but yeah. But it doesn’t mean these are trustable, as it can be seen, not all villages sent their best teams.” Tsunade explained with a sigh.

Unlike the anime, Tsunade was a lot blunter. She talked about intimidating the other nations with power and stuff. But she still mentioned how important it was to fight in finals, as Daimyo from neighboring nations would watch the exams. About missions and more useless stuff.

“Since the number of teams passing the second exam is over the limit, we will cull the weak.” She then blurted out.

“What!?” Kiba exclaimed. “We battled so hard with tears and blood and we may not even participate in finals?”

“Yeah.” Tsunade nodded with a shrug. “If you want to battle in finals, battle hard and win.”

“Stage is all yours, Hayate.”

“Yes, Fifth-Sama!” Hayate kneeled as he acknowledged. “Nice to meet you everyone, those who are not in top shape and want to withdraw, now can do so.”

With it, Kabuto forfeited and stepped back while looking at me murderously. I stood straight and calm, without even glancing at him nor Orochimaru hiding under disguise near Tsunade.

Only 7 teams passed the exam, my team, Sai’s Team 3, Shino’s Team 8, Pumpkin-Chan’s Team 10, Lee’s Team 13, Kabuto’s Team, and Gaara’s Team. With Kabuto forfeited, we had 20 people who could fight in the preliminaries.

Soon, the first fight was decided, and to no one’s surprise, it was Yoroi vs Yours Truly. Orochimaru wanted to test me of course.

“There are no rules in battles. You can use any weapon. You will fight until one side dies, collapses, or admits defeat. I, as the prosecutor, can stop the battles any time if I deem so.

Please admit defeat if you don’t want to die. Right, step up, Koushin-san, Yoroi-san.”

“Hello, Hayate-san!” I greeted with a smile. He returned it. I looked at my stoic opponent standing indoors with sunglasses. This guy deserves to die. He had a smirk under the veil of his, I am certain.

“Start!” Hayate ordered as Yoroi dashed towards me. As expected, his orders were to draw out my Chakra so I would use the Cursed Seal. Too bad for him, I am not Sasuke.

As soon as he appeared near me, he raised his two hands to grab me. I crouched down in a swift movement and kicked him in the chin. His body started to float in the air, and I jumped behind him.

I held onto his back as I swung my one leg. He blocked it, but it was fake anyway. I rotated my body mid-air and punched him in the face. While he was falling, I somersaulted and with the back of my foot, I kicked him in the gut just as he was about to hit the ground.

“Ryu Rendan!” I shouted dramatically as my opponent cried in pain.

Heh, it feels good. What did Sasuke say when he used this combo? Oh right, he said it was time for his original moves! Right! Yes! Original! I used my originals too!

Not that I saw Lee or anyone else using Shadow Dance, but with my Taijutsu so high, I don’t need to. I can easily copy such a move.

“You did it, Kou!” Naruto shouted. Hinata too looked excited while Ino looked on heat? But one person was truly wet, Orochimaru.

“Winner of the first match, Koushin!” Hayate announced.

“Thank you, Hayate-san!” I bowed as I walked towards the waiting area.

The second match, Sai vs Shino. It was an exciting match. Way too even. Sai was good with his drawings but Shino wasn’t to scoff at. He was actually a lot stronger than I thought, in the end, he lost.

The third match, Knock-off Luffy vs Kankuro. Same in Anime, Kankuro won.

The fourth match, Sakura vs Ino. Of course, my pumpkin won. It was a lot different from Anime. Although Sakura too was better, she was still nowhere close to my pumpkin. Gotta admit though, with her Chakra Control being so good and Kurenai as her teacher, her Genjutsu talent was off the roof. But Ino not only had me as her boyfriend, but she also had me as her teacher. I knew what she could become and what not. She won easily.

The fifth match, Tenten vs Temari. Same shit. Gai was an idiot. He swore to teach Taijutsu only, so Lee wouldn’t feel bad, but it didn’t suit Tenten. He never even bothered to teach her anything. If Tenten knew one Katon Jutsu, she could turn the tables, but no. You know what, I don’t even care. They can all go and die.

The sixth match, Shikamaru vs Yuyu. Gotta admit the orphan Kunoichi was good. Too good. I don’t know if she was part of Root as well, but she had a damn talent in Katon. By creating or removing shadows, she played Shikamaru like a monkey in the bar. But in the end, wits won against chakra. Despite her talent, her Chakra Reserves were pitiful and she lost.

The seventh match, Naruto vs Kiba. Couldn’t be easier. Kiba was a bloated egomaniac. His alpha syndrome is pitiful. He always thinks he is the hot shit in the room but he is just a useless dog piss. I love Akamaru but hate this kid. Naruto of course mopped the floor with him. He could easily take out Akamaru in the beginning, and then beat the shit out of the dog boy.

The eighth match, Hinata vs Neji. It was... different. Neji was respecting the Princess of Hyuuga but couldn’t just forfeit. Hinata on the other hand didn’t want to hurt his cousin. In the end, it was Neji who won.

The ninth match, the match I was expecting. Now, I don’t mean I was looking forward to seeing Lee battle spectacularly, no no. I was waiting for Lee to have what he deserved. Holding back? Proving his ninja way? Opening gates to battle with a genius? Fuck off. Hypocrite son of a bitch. All he did was underestimating his opponents by wearing weights and talking about honesty. Bullshit. He deserved what had happened to him. And Gai? Stupid son of a bitch, not stopping the match because Lee was proving something. Only if Lee died would it be awesome.

The tenth match, Shin vs Choji. Shin won. Easily. Unfortunately for the fatass, he wasn’t on my team of students, yet. I was too lazy to deal with a shy boy who was too afraid to hurt his opponents. No, it is not fucking same with Hinata. Hinata was constantly oppressed by her father because of her nature, while Chouji was always supported. His weak nature is who he is. Hinata was forced into it. And when people she cared about were truly under threat, she was the only person to jump in front of God to battle. While bitches like Sakura only cried for help.

Sigh, impudent people wishing more than they deserve. I hate these kinds of people. Sasuke for example, acting though, disregarding everyone. Now, lying six feet underground. Fucking disrespectful prick.

“To everyone who has advanced to the Final Round… congratulations!” Hayate took me out of my stupor.

Tsunade then explained the final rounds. “In the finals, you will be able to show your worth in front of Daimyo and citizens. You will represent your villages, so do your best! Final Round will commence a month later!”

“Why a month?” Naruto asked.

“Daimyo and guests from other nations will travel long distances. There are also preparations to be made.” Tsunade smirked, “Your advancement to Chunin-rank depends on your performance, so up your skills and show your worth. You will not have a second shot!”

Then we drew lots. The matchups were… not bad, I guess.
