Legacy of Harry Potter

Chapter 155: Moody Makes a Entrance

November 1994

Hogwarts' Grounds

Harry closed the distance between himself and the dragon. He stood at a distance of few metres from the massive Hungarian Horntail.

The majestic creature was lying comfortably on the ground with its eyes closed. The golden ball along with few pieces of the dragon eggs were placed close to the Horntail; its wings lying close to the eggs.

Harry standing in front of the dragon did not have his attention on the dragon or the golden ball but his eyes were gazing towards the crowd.

He flicked his wrist and the death stick appeared in his right hand. Dumbledore sitting in the judge seat had his face contorted slightly before he regained his normal expression. Ever since he had seen the elder wand in Harry's hand, he had not been able to figure out how the Potter brat managed to get his hands on the fabled deathly hallow.

And though he was confident in his plans the death stick in Harry's hands made him feel uneasy.

Meanwhile Harry pointed the wand towards his throat and casted a sonorous charm on himself.

"Welcome everyone," boomed his voice loudly reverberating across the entire arena.

The massive crowd looked at him in confusion. He was there to participate in the tournament and not to make speeches.

Harry as if understood their thoughts chuckled; his voice resonating loudly across the arena.

"I know this may sound strange coming from my mouth but," he said. "I must say that you are about to witness something really terrific today."

He took two steps forward and a small smirk like smile marred his face.

"And… no it is not related to the tournament," he grinned.

With this he jabbed his wand and a small streak of light left his wand and struck the ground in front of him.

The ground was blasted and splinters of the rock flew around. Another spell left Harry's wand and the small pieces of rock flew, transfigured and realigned themselves to form a long chain like structures.

The rocky chain was floating in air and another spell from Harry's wand struck the chain. As if controlled by 'magic' the length of the chain increased further and in an extremely fast speed flashed towards the golden ball.

Before the dragon could even feel what was happening, the chain had wrapped itself around the ball and in moments was back to its original place floating in front of Harry.

Harry raised his hand and traced his finger around the golden ball but did not touch the ball.

Harry's such control over his magic and the flawless demonstration of such wide range of spells had left every person in the audience in awe.

This was beyond what an average wizard could accomplish in his entire life.

"Honestly," said Harry drawing the focus of the audience back to himself. "This level of tournament… I can win it with my eyes closed."

He shook his head as in disappointment.

"What is about to happen cannot be described but worry not as you will witness it soon enough," declared Harry.

"What I ask from all of you that no matter the situation," continued Harry. His voice was exceptionally deep and serious. It was as if he was issuing commands as a king.

"Don't cause chaos or any mayhem in the stands. Remain seated where you are. I assure you of your safety," boomed Harry.

With this, before anyone could understand what he meant, Harry touched the golden ball.

The portkey inside the golden ball activated and the space started to twist swallowing Harry.

"Madam Bones… Madam McGonagall, I leave the rest to you," boomed Harry's voice as he vanished.

(Minutes before Harry Vanished)

'Alastor Moody' was standing inconspicuously below the audience stands' close to its wooden pillars trying to hide his presence yet remain close to the arena.

He had attention solely focused on Harry Potter as he stepped inside the arena. His right hand was holding his wand tightly ready to put it in use at any moment.

His heart had been throbbing wildly with excitement as the majestic events were about to unfold. The glee… the excitement on his face was clearly visible as his lord was about to make his return today.

Today was the day when the wizarding world will again face the wrath of his dark lord.

But even so, a small anxiety was gnawing his heart. Despite all the plans of his lord being perfect, he could not help but feel a sense of incoming crisis.

He was torn between his excitement and fear when Harry started to speak.

The moment he spoke about something terrific and something major happening today, Crouch's heart skipped a beat.

It took his no moment to realise that the enemy was well aware of their plans.

He was still wondering if he should take any action when a gruff sound from his back attracted his attention.

He turned around abruptly only to find an identical face standing in front of him.

The presence of original Alastor Moody left Crouch in state of shock.

Moody's eyes spun wildly as he grunted, "Enjoying my life, Crouch?"

Crouch felt all their plans falling rapidly and he was about to fire spells at Moody when a spell struck his back. He could not even see the face of the attacker before unconsciousness took over him.

"Still as powerful as ever," chuckled Moody as Amelia Bones walked gazing over the fallen body of Crouch.

"That I am," smiled Amelia. "But are you in your prime? The enemies are going to be tough."

Moddy huffed but did not speak anything.
