Legend of Divine Doctor Smith

Chapter 9: Chapter 9: The Unique Girl_1

Emily's face bore a faint smile.

But to Ray Walters, that smile was terrifying!

"Hey, this chick is pretty hot, how about it, want to have some fun with us?" At this moment, one of Ray Walters's lackeys suddenly said.

"If you dare touch her, I'll kill you!" Ethan immediately shouted angrily!

"Haha, Brother Tiger, did you hear what he said? This kid really doesn't know whether he's alive or dead."

"Brother Tiger, this chick is really hot, let us have a taste!"

A bunch of lackeys leered at Emily.

Emily's expression was icy, and she remained silent, just quietly watching Ray Walters.

Her powerful presence made even Ethan feel a bit nervous.

Ray Walters wiped the sweat from his forehead, suddenly turned around, and slapped one of his lackeys across the face!

"Go home and play with your mom!" Ray Walters cursed loudly!

The lackeys were dumbfounded.

What's gotten into Brother Tiger? Why is he suddenly so angry?

Emily watched Ray Walters with a cold gaze and said lightly, "Ray Walters, your men are quite bold."

Without another word, Ray Walters "thumped" to his knees.

Trembling, he said, "Please... rest assured, I'll tear his mouth apart..."

Emily snorted, "What about you?"

Ray Walters's body trembled even more.

He gritted his teeth, took out a knife from his pocket, and without a word, stabbed it fiercely into his own thigh!

"I... I was wrong, I didn't know Ethan was your man, please spare my life..." Ray Walters endured the pain and said with a terrified face.

Emily gave him a cold glance and scolded, "Get lost!"

"Yes, yes, I'm leaving..." Ray Walters struggled to get up from the ground, dragging his nearly crippled leg, and crawled into the car.

His lackeys were stunned, not daring to say a word, and hurriedly followed.

The car drove away, and the entrance returned to calm.

Ethan was full of astonishment, staring at Emily, his mind in turmoil.

Who exactly was this Miss Emily, to instill such fear in Ray Walters?

"What's wrong?" Emily returned to her playful demeanor.

She tiptoed and patted Ethan's head, laughing, "How did you get involved with these people?"

Ethan smiled bitterly, "It's a long story."

"Oh," Emily pondered.

"Miss Emily, you've helped me again, I don't know how to thank you," Ethan sighed.

Emily thought for a moment and said, "Well... how about you treat me to a meal?"

Ethan was stunned, momentarily speechless.

Emily had helped him so many times, and all she wanted was a simple meal?

"Is that not okay?" Seeing Ethan silent, Emily asked again.

Ethan came back to his senses and quickly nodded, "Okay, but I don't have any money on me, I can only cook it myself."

"No problem, I'm not picky," Emily said with a smile.

So, the two of them walked home together.

Meanwhile, Ray Walters had arrived at the hospital.

"Brother Tiger, who exactly is that woman? Why are you so afraid of her?"

"Yeah, even if she's the daughter of River City's mayor, it wouldn't be like this, right?"

Ray Walters's face was ugly, filled with lingering fear.

"In front of her, even the mayor of River City is just fit to serve tea and pour water," Ray Walters wiped his forehead and said with some fear.

He had seen top figures from Chuzzle bowing and scraping before Emily!

He had seen the highest echelons of River City not even qualified to speak with her!

"Could she be that person from the capital?" Ray Walters's lackey seemed to guess something.

Ray Walters smiled bitterly and said with a sense of despair, "We're in trouble, real trouble this time..."

...

In the central villa of Dragon Rising Residential Area.

Ethan personally cooked, making two bowls of noodles and a dish of pickles.

"There's only noodles at home, I hope you don't mind," Ethan said as he placed the noodles in front of Emily.

Emily sniffed vigorously, looking pleasantly surprised, "Wow, it smells delicious!"

Ethan scratched his head, looking a bit embarrassed.

Having been a househusband for three years at the Johnson family, his cooking skills were not quite perfect, but they were close.

Emily was extremely satisfied with a bowl of noodles.

She wiped her mouth and gave Ethan a thumbs up, "You're really a surprising guy, the food is so delicious!"

Ethan smiled bitterly, "What's the use of a man being able to cook if he can't make money, he's still a worthless loser."

That was what Sylvia had said to Ethan, and not just once.

"Who says!" However, Emily rolled her eyes at him.

"Making money has never been the standard to judge a person," Emily said seriously.

Ethan was astonished.

He couldn't believe that someone would affirm him like this.

He couldn't believe that there was a girl like Emily in the world.

The stark contrast between them left Ethan somewhat intoxicated.

"You really are a different kind of girl," Ethan couldn't help but exclaim.

"You're quite unique too," Emily laughed.

Then, she suddenly changed the subject, pointing at the empty bowl in front of her, and said with a grin, "Can I have another bowl?"

Ethan was taken aback and quickly nodded, "Sure, I'll go make it right now!"
