Chapter 92 - Blue Giant ⑴

Chapter 92 Blue Giant ⑴

– Wooooong!

A massive amount of magic gathered in the air.

Crackle. Crackle.

Crystal fragments broke off from the blue giant’s enormous body and embedded themselves in the ground. The crystal fragments, each two meters long, glowed brilliantly with a blue light.

– Army of Crystals.

With the Guardian’s rigid voice, the embedded crystal fragments began to transform. Just like the blue giant, the crystals on the ground changed into human-like forms with four arms.

“A Guardian using magic?!”

A shout of astonishment burst from Kang Ha-rin’s mouth. She had been in this world for five years. Though she had experienced many things, she had never heard of a Guardian using magic.

“Damn it!”

Kang Ha-rin swung her greatsword, slicing through the waist of a small Guardian that had formed right in front of her.

Crash!

The Guardian made of crystal split in half from her strike.

‘It’s not that strong.’

Though she was a ranker, a Guardian that could be taken down with a single attack wasn’t particularly powerful.

‘The problem is the numbers…’

Kang Ha-rin’s face twisted as she saw hundreds of Guardians created from a single spell.

Even if all the summoners combined their strength, dealing with such a large number of these crystal creatures while also facing the giant was daunting.

“Tae-hwang! Take care of those small ones!”

“Yes!”

Cheon Tae-hwang briefly showed a regretful expression at not being able to fight the blue giant but soon nodded resolutely. He wasn’t so foolish as to insist on his desire to fight stronger opponents in such a critical situation.

“Blade Dance.”

Cheon Tae-hwang invoked a skill effective against multiple enemies. Four swords floated around him, slicing through the air like a dance. The small Guardians shattered upon contact with his swords.

“Sis!”

“I know.”

As Kang Ha-rin approached the blue giant, she urgently called out to Park Si-a. Park Si-a nodded with a cold gaze and stepped forward.

Streams of water formed around her, creating steps in the air.

“Hup!”

Kang Ha-rin stepped on the water stairs Park Si-a had made, leaping towards the blue giant’s head. Her white greatsword swung down with lightning speed, aiming to split the giant’s head.

“Single Strike!”

Crash!

Her shout was accompanied by a slight distortion on the blue giant’s forehead. However, Kang Ha-rin’s expression was not bright despite having inflicted the first real damage on the blue giant. Even with her skill-infused strike, the blue giant’s body bore almost no wounds.

Whoosh!

“Ugh! … Aaaah!”

The giant’s massive arm swung at her as she floated in mid-air. Kang Ha-rin quickly raised her sword to block the attack, but the giant’s immense strength sent her flying backward at tremendous speed.

Thud.

“A-are you okay?!”

Tiria appeared behind Kang Ha-rin, who was flying towards the wall like a bullet. Catching her, Tiria asked in a worried voice.

“Ugh… I’m fine! More importantly, that monster…!”

Kang Ha-rin shouted, blood trickling from her mouth. Tiria nodded and looked down at her guild members.

“Blaze Step!”

Flames erupted behind Yu-na, who was running at high speed. Wielding her twin swords enveloped in fire, she cut through the bodies of the small Guardians.

“Power Smash!”

Boom!

Park Cheol-tae’s massive greatsword swept through the small Guardians like a storm. The crystal bodies of the Guardians shattered and scattered around.

“Yeong-sik!”

Yu-na, cutting down the small Guardians to clear a path, called out Yeong-sik’s name urgently. Responding to her, Yeong-sik used his booster and shot towards the blue giant like a bullet.

“Acceleration.”

– Shwoooosh!

With his boost level increased to 3, he utilized its additional effects. His body broke the sound barrier, creating a donut-shaped sonic boom behind him.

Boom!

While running at incredible speed, Yeong-sik stomped the ground. His body shot vertically, reaching the blue giant’s head where Kang Ha-rin’s sword strike had left a dent.

‘Shotgun.’

Even while the blue giant’s head shook violently, Yeong-sik calmly used his shotgun. His right arm bent, revealing two barrels.

– Boom!

The shotgun’s barrels roared. The three rounds fired simultaneously struck the dented part of the blue giant’s head. The damage worsened, revealing the inside filled with blue crystals.

“Slash!”

Yeong-sik’s blade began vibrating at high speed. Clinging to the blue giant’s head, he thrust the blade into it.

– Thud! Thump! Thud!

The blue giant twisted its body violently and reached for Yeong-sik clinging to its head. Yeong-sik evaded its hand with nimble movements, continuing to swing his blade.

– Intruder. Eliminate.

Thinking it was hard to shake off Yeong-sik, the blue giant bent over roughly. It looked like it was trying to shake water out of its ear.

“Ugh!”

Though it was just a simple motion, the result was far from trivial because of the giant’s sheer size.

Yeong-sik, who was clinging to the giant’s head, plummeted at high speed. His body fell like a projectile and penetrated two meters into the ground. The immense impact shook his entire body.

“Ugh?!”

“Y-Yeong-sik!”

A painful groan escaped Yeong-sik’s lips as he lay embedded in the ground. Perhaps because his body was mechanical, he didn’t bleed, but the injury was serious nonetheless.

Grrrrk!

“Ugh…!”

The blue giant raised its massive foot to crush Yeong-sik, who was lying on the ground. Tiria’s expression turned urgent.

Standing in front of Yeong-sik, Tiria stretched out her arms. Her angel wings curved around them, forming a shield.

Boom!

“Ahh?!”

The blue giant’s colossal foot collided with Tiria’s protective shield. A loud noise echoed, and a painful groan escaped Tiria’s lips. Her outstretched arms trembled slightly.

The giant’s foot carried the weight of a 20-meter-tall giant.

The impact, even when simply calculated, amounted to hundreds of tons.

“Haa, haa…!”

Red blood flowed from Tiria’s nose. Her body trembled. Coming to his senses from the shock of being slammed into the ground, Yeong-sik wrapped his arms around her waist and stomped the ground hard.

Boom!

When the blue giant’s foot hit the ground, the surroundings shook as if an earthquake had occurred. The blue giant turned its head to glare at Yeong-sik and Tiria, who had swiftly escaped.

“Blizzard!”

Ara’s magic spread widely, creating a snowstorm from the cave ceiling that enveloped the blue giant. The giant’s movements slowed slightly.

“Explosion!”

Boom!

Following Ara’s spell, Chae-rin’s magic hit the blue giant directly. The giant’s body shook violently and staggered backward.

“Grand Rift.”

Yoo Jin’s cold voice echoed.

Crack.

The space around the blue giant distorted, and a huge rift aimed at the giant’s neck. The giant hastily tried to pull its neck back, but Yoo Jin’s magic was faster, slicing its neck.

Crack! Crackle!

Yoo Jin’s magic didn’t completely sever the giant’s neck but managed to create a long wound. The injured giant stumbled backward.

‘At least the magic is working.’

Yeong-sik thought as he watched the blue giant being damaged by the magic bombardment.

High-level magic required casting time, allowing for powerful attacks that close-combat classes couldn’t achieve. The power was enough to make the ‘Shotgun’s Blast’ seem insignificant.

‘Now’s my chance.’

Yeong-sik’s eyes sparkled as he steadied his stance. He extended his right arm and concentrated. Powerful energy began to gather in his right palm.

– Wooooong!

The charging for the Energy Blast had begun. Knowing the power of Yeong-sik’s attack, the Salvator Guild members circled around the blue giant, distracting it to buy him time to complete the charge.

“Energy Blast.”

The fully charged Energy Blast shot towards the blue giant. It was an attack that worked with the utmost efficiency against a massive target.

The compressed projectile of immense energy collided with the giant’s chest.

– Thud! Thud!

The giant’s body shook violently from the impact of the Energy Blast. A satisfied smile appeared on Yeong-sik’s face. But then,

– Target locked.

A low voice came from the Guardian as its eyes glowed blue. A chill ran down Yeong-sik’s spine as he instinctively sensed danger.

“Get down!”

Yeong-sik shouted urgently. But before the summoners could react to his warning, the white symbols floating around the Guardian turned into blades of light and shot towards them.

– Pook!

“Ugh!”

“Aaaargh!”

The bodies of Leviathan Guild members, who had been casting magic bombardments following Salvator, were pierced by the white symbols. Their dark red blood spilled out as they collapsed on the spot.

“No, no!”

Watching in horror, Kang Ha-rin turned to protect her guild members. As she turned, a blade of white light targeted her back.

“Ha-rin!”

Park Si-a’s urgent voice rang out. Kang Ha-rin turned at her shout.

– Pook!

“Huh…?”

A blade of white light pierced Kang Ha-rin’s left arm. She let out a bewildered cry, not comprehending what had happened. Her severed left arm fell to the ground, and dark red blood spurted from her shoulder like a fountain.

“Ah… Ugh…”

Kang Ha-rin bit her lip hard, desperately enduring the pain. The light blades targeted her again as she stood frozen.

“Barrier of the Water God!”

Shhhhhh!

Park Si-a, who had rushed in front of Kang Ha-rin, used a defensive spell. The light blades aimed at Kang Ha-rin were deflected by the water barrier.

“This, this can’t be…!”

As Park Si-a, who had been in the center taking charge of defense, left her position, the blades of light spread out in all directions, targeting the Salvator Guild members.

“Radiance!”

Gil-soo raised his shield urgently, his voice trembling.

Clang! Clang! Thud!

“Ugh?!”

The light blades shattered his skill like straw and pierced Gil-soo’s chest. He fell to his knees and collapsed on the spot. A fountain of dark red blood gushed from his chest.

“Uncle Gil-soo…?”

Yeong-sik stared wide-eyed at Gil-soo lying on the ground.
