LOVE IN PARIS: Married To My Brother-in-law

Chapter 2: Bachelorette's Party: A Wish Come True

He handed the documents to the priest who began to examine them, his brows furrowing deeply with each passing seconds.

They were indeed wedding documents - signed, sealed and official.

The priest's hands trembled as he looked up at the bride, his voice grave. " This appears to be genuine ".

Yvette's leg felt weak, her head spinning as the memories suddenly rushed back.

 Her bachelorette's party, the drunken haze, the wild act . . . . . . . . . . . . .

 Few days ago.

The party was in a full swing, a lively affair in a luxurious rooftop bar overlooking the glittering city.

The pulsing beats of music reverbating through the crowded space, strobe lights painting the room with vibrant colors illuminating on the seas of bodies dancing energetically .

Three glamorously dressed ladies were sprawled on the leather upholstery covered with soft suede in a corner, elegantly sipping on expensive cocktails, twirling and whriting their bodies to the rhythm of the music.

" Have fun all you want ladies, bills on me". A pretty lady decked in a short red gown with low cut bodice encrusted with jets of pearls shouted merrily to her friends, her head covered with wavy sandy blonde locks. " It's my bachelorette party tonight".

"Of course Yvette. We're partying all night". Odiette, a petite lady with raven hair who was sitting opposite her chirped in in a singsong tone.

"Our little Yvette is finally getting married to her prince charming, this calls for celebration. Unlimited celebration". Olivia who was sitting beside Odiette cheered happily, popping a champagne amidst the loud and whirling club.

The piles of scotch and tequila on the heavy glass and bronze table soon diminished, the ladies still chatting and drinking merrily, placed another order of drinks which they chunked happily.

"I kind of feel sad right now, after you get married, it'll be just us. You'll be busy having fun with your dearest Manuel". Olivia pouted unhappily, her speech slurred.

"Aye, Aye. You two should get married real quick then so you won't be all lonely by yourself". Yvette slurred happily, what was there not to be happy for, she was finally getting married to her prince charming, the one who she had sacrifice all she had for.

"Then". Olivia continued. "Are your parents . . ."Olivia continued but was interrupted by the still somber Odiette who pinched her.

"Aye, why so ferocious. Stop pinching me!".

Amidst all the revelry, Yvette tipsy from too many wines leaned against the bar, her head spinning pleasantly.

Her friends cheered her on, raising their glass to toast one more time before she would become a married woman. She happily joined in the cheer, laughing as she downed another glass.

As the night wore on, the group began to wind down, the energy ebbing slowly. Yvette now thoroughly drunk stumbled lightly as she said her goodbyes to her friends who were heading back to their hotel room and she followed suit.

Her thoughts were hazy , the alcohol clouding her judgement. She giggled to herself excitedly as she made her way down to the hotel hallway, the heels of her shoe clicking against the polished floor.

She reached her door and fumbled with the key card but before she could get it to work, the door across her's swung open.

A man emerged, also visibly drunk with his tie hanging loosely on his neck, his sandy blonde hair disheveled.

He was handsome and had a roguish charm that was only enhanced by his unsteady gait. He looked up at her, his expression shifting immediately as their gaze met, an electric charge passing between them.

Without thinking, Yvette took a step forward closing the distance between them, she couldn't help but feel like he seems familiar, his fragrance intoxicating her.

Ezekiel hesitated for a moment, his eyes narrowing as he tried to place her or perhaps it was just one of his other illusion. But before he could say anything, she reached out grabbing him by his collar and pulling him into her room.

The door clicked shut behind him, sealing them in a world where consequences doesn't exist.

The room was dimly lit, the city lights casting a soft glow through the large windows, the duo stumbled inside their movement clumsy but filled with an urgent, reckless energy.

Yvette pushed him against the wall, her breath hot and heavy as she pressed her lips to his. He responded in kind, his hands finding her waist, pulling her closer as he kissed her passionately with a desperate intensity.

After all this was the woman who he had ever longed for all his life, the woman who he had loved for decades. For him, it was like a wish come true.

The world outside faded away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the moment.

Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions, the alcohol simplifying every sensation. The kiss deepened and she moaned softly, her hands reaching for the man's shirt fumbling with the button.

Then she was suddenly struck with a wild, impulse thoughts. She broke the kiss , her eyes bright with mischief and satisfaction as she stepped back, catching her breath.

"Wait". She slurred, swaying slightly on her feets as she fumbled for her shoulder bag which was carelessly tossed on the floor.

Rummaging through it, she pulled out a piece of paper, a marriage certificate to be precise, waiting to be signed and completed.

Ezekiel gazed at her, his expression a mixture of amusement and curiousity. With the last bit of his sanity, he muttered. "What are you doing?".

"Don't worry, since I've chosen you, naturally I'll take responsibility for you". She grinned holding the certificate. "I can't wait to get married to you, so let's get over with it, I've been waiting for decades". She concluded, her voice giddy with excitement.

He laughed as he watched her grabbed a pen from the nightstand, her hands trembling with intoxication.

She placed it on the bed, quickly scribbling her name on where it was supposed to be.

"There". She said, placing the certificate before him as she handed him the pen. "Your turn".

He looked at her and the paper, a painful heat sensation coursing through his lower body and he couldn't help but curse inwardly. It seems he could no longer restrain the effects of the alcohol and aphrodisiac on him.

"Damn Eriq".

"Do you know who I am or what you're doing, are you aware of the consequences . . ."

"Cut the crap!".

"Are you being shy now?". She giggled. ",Of course I know you, you smell and look so familiar, I couldn't be more familiar...."

With that, he slammed his lips on hers a satisfied grin crossing his face. He took the pen and signed his name next to her's.

She let out a truimphant laugh, feeling a surge of satisfaction as she grabbed the certificate and waved it in the air. " We're finally married". She declared.

Ezekiel laughed along with her, the absurdity of it all lost in the moment. They kissed again, this time more passionately, the certificate falling forgotten to the floor as they tumbled on the bed until all that was left was the night and their shared, reckless abandon.
