Chapter 1: Prologue
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,"
Spine chilling screams were everywhere. A little elf girl about ten years old watches through a small crack on their door as their elf clan was being attacked by vampires.
The door opens immediately sending the girl few feet backwards. An elf woman came in and shuts the door. The woman was covered in blood.
"Mama..." the girl called but the woman only dragged her gently to a particular spot on the floor. Then she opened an underground compartment.
"Luisa dear, I need you to get into this place and promise me you will remain quiet," the woman said, holding the little girl's shoulders as they faced each other.
"But Mama, whose blood is that? Where is Papa? What's going on?" little Luisa asked. Luisa has always been discovered to be too intelligent and inquisitive for her age.
"Just listen to me Luisa...We'll be fine, everything will be fine. Just do what mama says, okay?"
"Please don't go, stay here with me mama?" Luisa pleaded, her eyes already watery with tears making her mother to tear up as well.
"I can't...But I'll be fine, I'll come back for you, just promise me you will stay hidden till I come, okay? Promise me?" her mother replied and the girl nodded.
"Okay (kisses Luisa's forehead)...l will be back, okay?" then she hid Luisa inside the compartment, covered it and placed a mat on top to conceal the spot, before she left.
As Luisa waited for her mother to return, seconds passed by and turned into minutes that turned into hours.
She got tired of waiting and opened the compartment, with little effort she climbed out. She was welcomed by an eerie silence. Tempted by the silence, she opened the door that was even already opened a little.
The scene she saw next sent chills along her spine, goosebumps began to form on her skin and she felt the bile moving.
The ground was tainted with the blood of the villagers, bodies were everywhere...Some still in tact while some apart, some were even crushed to no recognition, among those were her father's, she knew it was him because of his clothes.
The vampires were all gone, she finally saw her mother's body that was ripped into two from her head to her waist, the sight was gruesome indeed, too much for her to handle. Little Luisa fell to her knees and wept bitterly close to her mother's body.
