Chapter 15: Chapter 15

"Lip, just tell me what to do. I'll listen to you!"

Eddie spoke desperately, like a drowning man clutching at driftwood, his eyes full of hope.

"Mr. Eddie, take it easy," Lip replied with a calm smile, turning to the two people standing on the side. "Karen, Mrs. Sheila, you two should come sit as well."

Mrs. Sheila sat next to Eddie and took his hand in hers, her face full of apology.

Karen sat next to Lip and leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Mr. Eddie, Mrs. Sheila, most family problems stem from conflicts between husband and wife, and 80% of those conflicts are caused by disharmony in the relationship," Lip began, his tone serious.

"Therefore, Mrs. Sheila, your secret is the key to resolving the conflict."

Sheila felt embarrassed under Lip's direct gaze.

"Sheila, listen to Lip, and speak up!" Eddie encouraged.

"Okay, I'll say it."

Mrs. Sheila began speaking, her voice shaking.

It turned out that when Sheila was twelve, she had stumbled upon something between her brother and a male classmate. Thanks to her sharp eyesight, she saw the details clearly, and those images were burned into her mind. They were even recorded in her password-protected notebook.

This led Sheila to believe that "chrysanthemums blooming" was something that would make men happy, and the bigger the bloom, the more satisfied they would be.

A week later, the boy came back.

Sheila mentioned it to her mother, but her mother was indifferent, dismissing it with a casual response. Without any guidance, Sheila's mother turned a blind eye.

From then on, Sheila's thoughts were filled with a desire to "master the big anus."

Lip finally understood why Sheila had been so permissive with Karen in the version of the story he'd watched. Her mother had been irresponsible, and Sheila, as a mother herself, had turned a blind eye to Karen's behavior.

"I'm sorry, Eddie. I always assumed you would be happy and never considered how you felt," Sheila said.

Sheila's words seemed to lighten the mood. Eddie thought for a moment and replied, "I feel better now that you've told your secret. Actually, I wasn't good either. You're so kind, innocent, and true. I should never have manipulated you all these years just to save face, making you think you had some phobia."

"I've been afraid of you being targeted by men with ulterior motives because you're so beautiful," Eddie added, his voice soft.

"Eddie, do I really not have those two diseases?" Sheila asked nervously.

"No, absolutely not," Eddie nodded seriously.

"Ah, great!" Sheila jumped up from her chair, excited. "I'm going to run in the park, I'm going to the mall to shop, I'm going to buy a tie for Eddie and a skirt for Karen!"

She suddenly hugged Eddie and kissed him.

Eddie blushed, but his happy expression nearly overflowed.

Lip and Karen exchanged a look, as if saying to each other:

"This dog food is delicious. Come on! I'm full—how about you?"

"Honey, you guys talk slowly. I'm going to prepare dinner now and add steak for you!" Mrs. Sheila went off to the kitchen, her fingers raised with joy.

"Karen, go get the notebook from your room," Lip said to Karen with a smile.

"Okay!" Karen ran upstairs with a cheerful smile.

"Thank you, Lip," Eddie said, standing up and extending his hand.

"Mr. Eddie, if you trust me, you should take the initiative tonight and try a 'double-pronged approach' with Mrs. Sheila. You might be surprised," Lip leaned in, shaking Eddie's hand and whispering in his ear.

"'Both eyes shine together?'" Eddie asked quietly, confused.

Lip made an 8 shape with his left thumb and index finger, using the index and middle fingers of his right hand to form two circles.

"Oh, I get it! Master the 'daisy' and the trail!" Eddie suddenly understood.

Lip gave him a thumbs up.

"Lip, thank you so much!" Eddie said again, his gratitude apparent.

"Mr. Eddie, if you really want to thank me, then forget the small things and spend more time with Karen and your wife when you can," Lip said calmly.

"Well, I'll definitely do it," Eddie promised.

"Daddy, Lip, what are you two talking about?" Karen, holding her laptop, asked as she looked at them whispering.

"Well…" Eddie was at a loss for words.

"Karen, your dad was asking me when your parent-teacher conference is. He said he would go," Lip responded quickly.

"Daddy, really?" Karen asked, her eyes wide.

"I promise," Eddie raised three fingers in an oath.

"Wow, I love you, daddy!" Karen put down her laptop, hugged Eddie, and gave him a kiss.

Eddie blushed even more, sending a secret thank-you look to Lip.

Lip was happy. Karen's family issues seemed to be temporarily resolved.

Karen sat next to Lip with the notebook in her hands, whispering in his ear, "Thank you, dear. I've prepared a surprise for you tonight!"

Lip immediately raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued.

Karen, this little girl, was simply a natural fairy!

Lip was filled with anticipation for the surprise, though there were more pressing matters to attend to. He couldn't wait to see what Karen had prepared.
