Chapter 98: Chapter 98
Lip looked at the three people with completely different expressions and simply smiled lightly, not attempting to explain anything. Once many things were settled, everyone would understand naturally without needing further explanation.
He walked over to a tree on the side, took out his phone, and dialed Mickey's number.
"Lip, what's up?"
"Mickey, what do you think of the Wild Dog Gang and G-Dog?"
"A bunch of bullies, trash who prey on the weak. Just like their second brother's name—bastards!"
"Really? Do you have an issue with this Gang?"
"I was bullied a lot when I was a kid, but I got my revenge later."
"Did G-Dog give you trouble?"
"G-Dog spends his days eating, drinking, gambling, and whoring. He cherishes his dog's life. He wouldn't dare mess with the Milkovich family—they're as crazy as lunatics!"
"As expected, the cowardly ones fear the fierce, the fierce ones fear the tough, the tough ones fear the violent, and the violent ones fear risking their lives!"
"You've summed it up perfectly, Lip!"
"Mickey, have Pete and Johnson inform the core members. See you at the usual place tonight."
"Lip, are you planning to attack the Wild Dog Gang?"
"Yes, I'm going to wipe them out completely and keep my promise—make you the little boss of the South District."
"Oh yeah!" Mickey shouted, thrilled, "Thanks, Lip!"
"Don't worry about it. There's still a lot to do."
"Got it, I'll contact Pete and Johnson right away."
Lip hung up, thought for a moment, then called Jessica.
"Honey, I miss you so much! Do you miss me?"
When Jessica spoke, she sounded sweet.
"You little goblin, it's only been a few hours! You miss me? I see you wish you could be with me every day!"
"I don't care! I just want to follow you, depend on you, and dominate you!"
Lip thought: If Hong men knew Jessica acted like this, her big sister's prestige would lose half of its power.
"Are you still in bed?"
"I'm not that lazy! I got up early, okay?"
Listening to Jessica's cute voice, Lip felt much more at peace.
"So what are you doing now?"
"I'm preparing dinner for you with my sisters!"
"What are you making?"
"Hubby, it's those Dragon Country dishes you had at the restaurant last time!"
"Wow, have you learned everything?"
"I know how to make them, but I've been getting some advice from my master to improve."
"Okay, I'll head back soon."
"Great, hubby, come back soon and try my cooking!"
"Alright, I'll hang up now."
"Bye-bye."
Lip hung up the phone, still debating whether to use Hongmen's influence to quickly eliminate the Wild Dog Gang. But after considering it carefully, he decided against it.
Lip understood that it was crucial for the Xiaolong Gang to have a chance to grow and mature. He couldn't just leave everything to Hongmen.
After a while, the entire family arrived, including Kevin and Veronica. When everyone saw Kevin with his left leg bandaged, they all rushed over with concern to ask what happened.
After hearing Kevin and Veronica's story, everyone felt both scared and thankful.
But Jessica, being sharp, noticed something from Lip's silence and the hesitation in his tone when he received the call earlier.
After everyone comforted Kevin, they sat down to enjoy dinner. Food and conversation could always make people forget their worries for a while.
Gradually, the Gallagher family and Kevin's family became engrossed in the unfamiliar but delicious Dragon Country dishes. They all showed smiles and fascinated expressions.
Jessica looked at everyone's satisfied faces, a proud smile appearing on her own. When she turned her eyes, she noticed Lip had been deep in thought the entire time.
"What's going through your mind, hubby?"
Jessica raised her beautiful legs and rubbed Lip's legs under the dining table.
Lip finally noticed her "what are you thinking?" look and responded with a "wait a minute, I'll tell you later" expression.
An hour later, after everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, the Gallagher family gathered around the TV in the living room to watch their favorite ocean fishing program.
Lip found an excuse, took Jessica's hand, and led her next door to the new house.
"Lip, is there something you want to tell me?" Jessica asked softly, sitting on the sofa.
"Yeah," Lip nodded and told her about his plan to destroy the Wild Dog Gang.
"I think it's a good idea," Jessica agreed. "Do you want me to send some elite soldiers from Hongmen?"
"No, I don't want to be a freeloader."
"Come on, Hongmen will be mine soon enough, then it'll be yours too! Why be so polite?"
"Do you think the hall masters of Hongmen, who are used to bloodshed, can easily rise under a soft-hearted man who depends on women?"
"Hongmen today is different. The leaders value who can bring better development and benefits, not just who can kill."
"True, times have changed. But for me, the Xiaolong Gang is still in its early stages. It's a process we must go through."
"Yeah, Lip, you're right. Hongmen fought through bloody battles to get where it is today. Now your Xiaolong Gang needs to be tempered like a newly forged sword."
"But as soon as that capable sword is made, someone's already trying to pick the fruit. I need you to control the situation."
"I understand. You're worried that after taking down the Wild Dog Gang, a third party might intervene."
"Exactly."
"You're very thoughtful, Lip."
"Also, I need you to look into the Bobcat Club."
"The Bobcat Club?"
"Yes, it's a gang in the South District, a rival to the Wild Dog Gang."
"You want to frame them, get them fighting each other, and profit from it."
"That's right. With the Xiaolong Gang's current size, we'd be a mess if we attacked the Wild Dog Gang directly. A beheading operation would only benefit others."
"I got it, when do you want this done?"
"The sooner, the better. And I need you to do me a favor."
"What do you need?"
"Does Hongmen smuggle arms?"
"You want to get arms?"
"Simple ones—pistols, submachine guns, rifles, and shotguns."
"I thought you wanted heavy weapons like Gatling guns! These are easy, I can make a call and get it done."
"So smart?"
"There are three regular gun shops in Chinatown."
"A cover for arms smuggling?"
"Yep."
"It's better to be a big gang! Get whatever you want."
"So, how about you just join Hongmen with your Xiaolong Gang?"
"I refuse. I want to develop on my own."
"Well, you're a tough guy!"
Jessica said, then hugged Lip tightly.
Lip hugged her back.
Suddenly, Lip's phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Lip, the core members of the gang will be here at 8 pm."
Lip checked his watch. There were still fifteen minutes left—he should be able to make it in time.
"Okay, wait a minute, I'll be there soon."
Lip hung up the phone, explained the situation to Jessica, sent her back to the Gallagher house to stay with the others, and ran toward an abandoned factory three streets away from home.
