Martial Peak: Origin Chaos Emperor

Chapter 2: Ch 2: Wang Feng

Among the high grounds of a great mountain range. Many pavilions and wooden cabins were built on a large piece of flat land. Among those many wooden cabins, a youth was currently sleeping on a simple bed.

The youth had a moderately handsome face with sharp features, had long black hair, a lean muscular physique and a height estimated to be around 1.7 meters.

The youth's eyes suddenly twitched as he slowly opened his black pupiled eyes. The youth slowly sat up while stretching lightly, which caused him to release a groan, "*Annhhh* Why does my body feel so sore?"

The youth wondered as he felt the soreness in his body. "Huhhh .... Where am I?", the youth wondered out loud as he looked around the wooden cabin in confusion.

The cabin was simple and didn't contain anything noteworthy. There were only a small table, a set of chairs, a mat that could fit a person and a modest bed he was currently laying on.

*Ughhh*, the youth suddenly released a loud groan and clinched onto his head as if in pain. Along the pain came a flood of memories that made the youth's brain to throb, making his breathing short.

"....*huff*...*huffff* .... wha .... what the ... *Fueee* ... Damn! That wasn't a dream. So I really got reincarnated into THE Martial Peak!", after the initial shock and pain had subsided, came unparalleled amount of excitement.

But that excitement too was sort lived as it was replaced with a somber feeling. The youth started perfectly remembering all the memories he had gained, or to be exact he was getting used to his memories in this life after a shift in his perspective because of his previous life's memories.

As his soul was a reincarnated soul, it was stronger than an average person's soul, even without his memories, and so he could remember everything about his new life, right from the start.

He remembered the figure he had seen when he was born, the figure of his mother who looked at him with such love that it was unexplainable.

He remembered what she named him, "Wang Feng".

He remembered how he, his mother and his father would spend their time together in the early years of his life, all of which brought a fond smile on his face.

But his expressions suddenly changed as he remembered how, when he was 14 years old, a pack of monster beasts entered their small village, which wasn't too far from a small forest, and killed his entire village.

"*Ughhh* ... *Sniff*", Tears started to fall from his face as he remembered how his brave father, who wasn't even a Body Tempering Realm Martial Artist, tried to stop the monster beast to help him and his mother escape. But the result of that was, his father was killed by monster beasts.

He remembered his father's last words asking him to escape and survive.

"Feng'er, Take your mother and run! Run for as far as you can, I'll try to hold these beasts back, just run and survive!"

Wang Feng trembled as he saw his father use his body to stop the demon beast and even punched one of them with a mighty scream, gaining attention of the surrounding wolves. Wang Feng grinded his teeths, wanting to stay and somehow, anyhow, help his father.

But one look at his mother made him clinch his hands into fist. He then grabbed his struggling mother's hand before running in the opposite direction.

He and his mother tried to escape from the monster beast and ran towards the secret exit in the village ... but they were unfortunately short on luck as they were soon surrounded by 3 wolves. One of the them then suddenly jumped on him intending to claw him.

But, at the last moment, his mother came in front of him and took the paw to the heart, the force of the strike launched her at him. Wang Feng turned wide-eyed as he felt the world lose its color when his mother's bloody figure collided with him, sending both of them onto the ground.

Wang Feng ignored the pain in his back and took held his mother's weak and bloody body, "Mother!! You ... Why ...wait I'll. ...try to.. sto.. p the *choke* blee.. ding ... Noo .. I .. It's ..Not *sniff* Stopping.. whaa...". He foolishly tried to stop the bleeding as his body trembled and tears rained down his face.

His mother smiled weakly at him from his embrace and tried to console him, even in her bloody state, "hey, don't cry. Aren't *cough* you my ... strong litt .. le boy. It's ... going to alri... *Cough* alright. Just ... *Cough* Survive, alright. You ... *Huff* must ... ta ...ke care of yourself *cough*."

With that final cough her body suddenly went limp and her eyes lost their luster. Suddenly a series of sounds exploded around him, but his focus was still on his mother's body, he stared at her body with wide, blank eyes.

With trembling hands he tries to shake her, "hey, mother, wake up... Mother ...why aren't you waking *Sob* up... *Sob* please..... MOTHER!!". He pulled her body into a hug and started crying loudly, the surroundings sounds suppressed by him screaming of anguish.

A few minutes later, all the other sounds stopped but he still didn't register that fact, just like how he didn't even register the start of those noises and remained in the same position, hugging his mother's body and crying loudly. After what felt like hours, the boy stopped crying and felt a hand on his shoulder.

Wang Feng finally looked up with red puffy eyes. As he did, he saw the simpathetic and sad face of a man. Looking around he saw that the wolves were all killed, some were sliced, some teared apart and a few had their heads detached from their bodies. He turned his eyes back to the man and looked at him with a blank stare, making the sadness on the man's face deepen.

After a minute of silence, Yang Feng naively muttered, "I want to grow stronger. Stronger than anyone. Can you tell me ... How I can grow.", his voice was low but it was filled with immense determination and pleading.

The man who had heard this, along with seeing the young kid's expression, sighed loudly before saying after a few seconds, "Think carefully about it dear boy, you just went through a devastating event. The road you are asking about is filled with life-threatening dangers."

Wang Feng suddenly laughed loudly, his laugh filled with mockery, fury and above all endless grief. The man looked at the kid worriedly and just as he was about to ask something,

Wang Feng spoke, "what else is there for me to lose!! I lost everything that is important to me today!! If the road is dangerous... Then so be it. I want to see how the Heavens will try to end me."

The man suddenly felt a chill down his spine as he looked at the determined, fury-filled, reddened eyes of the devastated kid. 'how unfair are the Heavens. Such a kid ... *Sigh* well, all I can do to help him is that..'

The man looked seriously at Wang Feng before giving him a token and saying, "take this token. One of my subordinates will take you to a cultivation sect. You can use this token as a recommendation for entry... I can only help you this much, the rest will depend on yourself, kid."

Wang Feng received the token and bowed his head in the man's direction, "Thank you, for everything." The man's eyes softened slightly as he told him to straighten up.

A few hours later, Wang Feng stood in front of two graves, belonging to his mother and father. In the past few hours, the man's subordinates, whom Wang Feng didn't register before because of his chaotic state, and Wang Feng himself found and buried the bodies they could find.

Wang Feng was able to find his father's body as well, though it was in a very bad state. He then made a grave using his hands, ignoring any bruise, cut or gush on his hands and placed them both side by side. "Mother. Father.... *Huee* I'll be going to a cultivation sect to train and I promise that I will grow stronger. So strong that not to mention these beasts, even the Heavens themselves will fear to even think about attacking me..... I *choke* hope your watching over me."

He stayed there for some more time before the man called him to send him with his subordinate. Just when Wang Feng and the man we're about to separate, Wang Feng remembered, "Sir! I still don't know your name."

The man blinked before a smile broke out on his face, "My name's Yang Ying Feng. What about you kid?". Wang Feng nodded, remembering the name, before replying, "My name is Wang Feng... Thank you again, I will definitely pay this life dept to you."

The man dismissed his words, not thinking of them as much, saying it was his duty.

~Flashback Ends~

In the wooden cabin, Wang Feng opened his eyes and wiped the tears off. "Mother ...Father ...", he reminisced about them for a few minutes before a sound startled him.
